Anthem institute is by far the worst school i have ever attented in my life. EVERYTHING about that school is a joke!!! The teachers have no knowledge of the course there teaching, and they flat out dont teach you anything!!! DO NOT GO TO ANTHEM, I REPEAT DO NOT GO!!! I made the mistake of going and it was the worst mistake of my entire life. There architectute / autocad program is a lame excuse for a course, i didnt learn anything. My advice go to a vocational school and you will learn 100x more knowledge you can use in life. I REPEAT PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. ANTHEM IS GARBAGE!!! AND I WASTED A YEAR OF MY LIFE AND $20,000 DOLLARS THERE.

"I don't know why these other two people seem so disgruntled. They might have been students who were not good with attendance or who did not work as hard as they could throughout the course and after to find work."

Heard of a Director's Award? It's what you get for Academic Excellence and Perfect Attendance for every month of the course. I've got one, how bout you? The school is just bad no matter how hard you work. I was also hired at my externship site and have been working here 2.5 years. The job is worth it but I could have gotten the same job with a high school diploma if I had known about it.

I attended Chubb Institute at the Springfield campus for Medical Coding and Billing.

Shortly after I started classes the only other teacher besides the program manager took off on vacation and sick time for 3 weeks straight and then quit her job. That left the program manager teaching 3-4 classes a day every day BY HERSELF. Several months in they REHIRED the other teacher. I found out from taking classes with her that she had no real understanding of medical terminology or physiology. In the span of my 9 month course they proceeded to hire two more "teachers" who also couldn't teach their way out of a paper bag! If it weren't for the program manager I would not have been able to pass a certification exam or get hired at the "top externship site".

Long story short the one who quit and then got rehired was promoted to program manager when the former program manager was promoted to head of grad placement. I feel so sorry for anyone taking that course now. My boyfriend now attends Anthem Institute at the Springfield campus. They can't get text books or teachers for $20000 a year. JUST SAD! Their program manager won't even teach when he is forced to watch over a class because the teacher is sick, on vacation, or just plain up and quit.

TOTAL SCAM! Do NOT believe the admissions reps they are ON A QUOTA!

"Education is what you make of it"... "easy way out"..."not good with attendance"..."not working hard"..

STOP WITH THE ASSUMPTIONS!

I went to The Chubb Institute everyday that was required; in fact, I received an attendance award several times. I received an "A" in every class I attended. I worked full time and still went to school three nights a week.

I'm pointing my finger at the staff at The Chubb Institute because during my two years of "instruction" one teacher was fired, one quit, one watched movies instead of helping us, and one told us to "play with" Photoshop because "that's the best way to learn".

I'm glad you were fortunate enough to get a decent education; I was not. I wrote this and my previous review as a warning to future students. I hoping that the staff at The Chubb Institute (Anthem Institute) see this and make some improvements to their graphic design and animation department.

I have to start this of by letting everyone know that I was an A student and was on the Honor roll 3 months in a row (the last 3 months of school). I believed everything that Anthem Institute told me that they have great instructors and great career services (They would help you look for a "job") I went to Anthem to get my Billing and Coding Diploma little that I know joining there would be my biggest regrets.

They told me (career services) that they would provide me a good place to do my extern/intern or I can choose a place of my own. So I decided to get my own site but they told me that I couldn't because I needed to tell them a month ahead. Next then you know I am sent to a crappy site in the city with computers from the 80's and ants all over my desk. My first week there I get a phone call from the site that I chose to go in the first place that all the information form the school is done and that I start there next month (How is that possible when I'm already in the crappy site where they send me) basically they used my contact that I FOUND for their own needs.

On top of that I had to miss my graduation because the hour they gave my graduation was during my extern/intern so I never made it. But once I finished my extern/intern i go back to school to see if they give me my diploma and I had to wait over a month til they decided to give it to me (can't do much without your diploma) and on top of that I'm still unemployeed for 3 long months and I owe the school 7 thousands.

I suggest go to a community college and get it for free and your associate degree will be worth more then an institute diploma. GOOD LUCK and I hope this helps all who are thinking joining in Anthem Institute in NEW YORK.

I understand that some graduates may have had a bad experience at Anthem Institute but I am not one of those people. I graduated from the Computer Networking program at the school and I am not currently employed in my field doing very well.

They gave me the necessary tools to start a new career in something that is relevant in today’s society. People can complain about what they didn't get out of the school or what the school didn't do for them but I ask you people this...what did you do for yourselves? Anthem and other vocational schools prepare you for a career in your desired field and give you the necessary tools to begin a NEW job in a NEW industry. People think that just because they went to school from a year that they're going to be making $60,000 right off the bat.

Lets be realistic here shall we everyone must realize that beginning a new career you must start at an entry level position, prove yourself and work your way up. Nothing is easy especially in this economy so don't go around pointing fingers at others when you should be pointing the finger at yourself. Complaining never got anyone anywhere. So I leave you with this, education is what you make out of it, some of you will be looking for the easy way out and others will be willing to work and those of you willing to put in the time and effort are the ones who are going to succeed in life...don't forget that.

I had a Great experience,I did my training in the Jersey city campus in the evenings while i worked a dead end job.The lady in admission told me exactly what i was getting (for the most part)we are now in a middle of a recession and i work full time and i work for myself on the weekend (independent side money) thanks to what I learned at Chubb Institute now Anthem Institute .I think that if you apply yourself you get what you pay for if you do not you will waste your money. I know of a few people who had good experiences and i know people who are not working.my student loan is $68.59 per month.witch i can afford no problem
