PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go elsewhere. This school is horrible. You have been warned...wished I hadn't wasted my time trying to see if it would be different for me... the reviews are correct. ..go elsewhere! This school is for profit and for self not for the student ...the moment you have an issue they will screen your call and avoid talking to you. In relation to financial aid they will scam you until mid semester and say you are out of pocket student. .. please find a different school. I hate I wasted a semester.
I would not recommend to full-time working students. The content seems like busy work, and the instructors wrote the same questions class after class. It started out as a great experience, but the closer I became to graduating, the worse the busywork became.
Aspen has a great Nursing bridge program. If you are a RN wanting or needing to obtain your BSN you can complete it with 10 just classes! I already has 120 credits which was more than necessary to get into their program. I have been a critical care RN for 20 years and find the program very pertinent to current nursing topics and practice! Lots of research and writing APA formatted papers....not difficult, but it is time consuming if you put in the work.
This school is best school for someone who is looking get flexible quality education while working at a minimum price. My overall experience had been very good. The course was challenging; finance assignments were very difficult. Moreover, the program is designed to meet the requirements of the industry not academia. This course is basically designed for professionals and it was very pragmatic. I will recommend this Aspen University to anyone who is looking get flexible quality education while working at a minimum price.
This is a FAKE school. You pay real money and they happily take every penny and then some, just read others peoples reviews and you and see how. They refuse to help students with the even basic of requests. They have the WORST attitudes, maybe because they all have other fake degrees from other fake online schools. If you have ever gone to a REAL college, you WON'T be able to manage with this below average scam.
Going to Aspen University is perfect for a parent who has no time (or barely any time) to study or do their homework. If your employer says that you need such & such degree to advance then I would highly recommend Aspen University. What is an Online student? An Online student seeks a degree to better his chances of improving his resume and that is it. You need that piece of paper to get you that advancement (like what I am currently doing). I didn't become an Online students t to be educated, as far as I'm concerned, everything I choose to study, I study. Why do you think Apprenticeship is so popular? You learn on the job, you're not going to learn from a book when your employer is going to teach you something completely different. Would I have loved to gone to an Online school that has an athletic program, actual campus, etc like USC, Liberty, Arizona State and Southern New Hampshire University? Of course! But I also have to face the fact that I am a father, husband and full time employee. I don't have time to study for mid terms and finals. Aspen doesn't have mid terms and finals. Look, just get the degree! Move up in your life by not spending all that extra money at those Brick & Mortars who cannot promise you a high paying job. Trust me when I say; Aspen is super easy. It may be DETC Accredited, but as long as your employer doesn't care about prestige, then why not go for it? Earn a degree without neglecting your family and not spend hours studying for a mid term and final. Trust me, go to Aspen!
Aspen is a great program for full time police officers. The MSCJ program was challenging, and I really felt I earned my degree. The staff was helpful, and when I ran into a glitch with a professor, the vice president of operations called me to resolve the issue. Veterans, like me, are exempt from fees and text books costs, and the $350.00 a month for the Masters program ensured I graduated debt free and never felt a finacial pinch.
Ponzi scheme. The school had to borrow $5 million to pay back students to disburse owed financial aid students . If that get your card or account number - they will run it anytime they need money even if you owe nothing. If it does not go through - the computer is programmed to lock you out to submit papers. It is a " For Profit Business ". You are not a student but a customer. Go ahead believe. " That will not happen to me ! " That is what I thought
Over this college is a waste of time. The school makes changes each term without proper notification. The course work is ridiculous. The teachers do not respond to emails or offer any help. They give 100% on every assignment regardless of the actual work completed. If you have to use financial aide good luck because you will be done with your program before you ever see a penny. I hate this school and regret the day I ever called them.
This university is accredited, but not in the manner to receive a license to counsel clients. The Financial aid and Bursar's office take their sweet time in getting your loan refund to you, which is not ideal if you are on a budget. I feel that the instruction quality is lacking... I worked really hard on a paper and received an "A" (100%) but I also have turned in a paper that I did not work hard on and still received 100%. The classes are not challenging enough in my opinion. The purchase of your text books is done out-of-pocket, not paid for by financial aid directly. The university also had 16-week terms, but changed to 10-week terms. I also have had a half a dozen advisors since starting in January of 2014. I am currently going to finish my semester and go elsewhere for my education. Credits will not transfer either! Poor experience overall.
