"Director of Radiology Program is not in support of her students success or wellbeing. The Director in this program does not care about mental health she only cares about her reputation. She will will not follow what is right on student behalf if they make report to her. If you get n her radar she will push yo-yos out if you place in the program. Overall the school has to look the other way. So sad how many students I have seen affected by her poor leadership."

"This college is great if you can afford to not work and dedicate 100% of your time to it. The class available is slim so if you want to graduate on time you will have to be at campus all day long. There is no option to be able to work a job and attend class full time. Class times will be from 11am and another at 1pm and another at 3pm multiple times a week."

"Avila University was a great college to attend for my undergraduate degree. I was in the School of Nursing and believe the program was exceptional. The class sizes were small enough that the instructors could provide valuable one on one time with students. The professors in the School of Nursing also genuinely care about their students and want them to succeed, which was a huge confidence booster. The instructors were always more than happy to help when asked. Instead of large lectures, there were many class activities with group discussion and participation which in my opinion helped facilitate learning. Not only did I learn an immense amount of information, I was provided with valuable experiences. I learned which areas of nursing I was most interested and passionate about as well as those I was not. These experiences helped shape me as a person and a professional and ultimately aided in the decision regarding my career. The campus is easy to learn and not spread out, making it easy to make it to different buildings for different classes without the concern of being late. The campus is also well cared for and in a good location. There are many activities to get involved in as well as athletic programs. I really enjoyed my time at Avila University, it is where I made lifelong friends and spent countless hours studying. As I mentioned before, the instructors truly care about their students, I have stayed in touch with multiple professors and they are still interested in learning about my new career and educational ventures, even though I graduated five years ago. Avila is a great institution and I would recommend it to future students!"

"In my honest opinion, Avila Unversity was a great small school to attend. Personally, I feel it was a benefit because I learn better in small classess where I have the oppurtunity to receive help if/when needed. The only downfall of this university is the price of tuition."

"Avila is an ideal choice for higher education if you value a good education. There are no fraternities or sororities and no big party atmosphere. Its strong points include more important aspects, however, such as knowledgeable, communicative professors who hold their students to high standards and good advising. My opinion mostly reflects the theatre department as my undergrad was in Directing. My adviser went above and beyond to ensure I was registered for all the classes I wanted to take and helped me obtain two concentrations within four years. He is reliable and consistent with all students. I had the opportunity to act, direct, design, and work backstage, unusual for an undergrad in theatre. Avila truly prepares theatre students for the reality of making it in the professional world- there is an emphasis on auditioning and learning about every aspect of theatre. Every theatre professor and many Gen Ed professors expected students to think for themselves and get their work in on time. There was little no hand holding. I received a well rounded education and was able to mentor international students as well, which gave me the chance to meet people from several different countries and learn about their traditions. Overall a great college experience."

"I took classes while working full time. Class times worked well with my schedule and I was able to complete in just over a year. The school was close to were I worked and lived and it was easy to talk to teachers. Most of my teachers had other jobs during the day so I felt like what I was learning was actually able to be used in the real world."

"Avila University is a good fit for someone looking for a high-value education on a small campus. It is expensive, however, being that it is a private college. There are some really valuable scholarships available and if you can make use of those, it's a great idea."

"Avila University has a strong tie with the community, which allows student access to quality internships. The program allows students to understand human behavior and diversity in a nonjudgmental way. The disadvantage is the cost."

"Avila University provided me with the tools I needed to succeed within my new and upcoming nursing career. I successfully graduated, passed my board exam and found a job all within 2 months of graduating. Now, I will give myself some credit as I worked very hard for what I have accomplished, but I will say that the nursing staff at Avila guided and coached me to this milestone. As I attended KU for the first two years of my collage career, it was very apparent to me the differences in teaching and the overall academic environment between the two schools. I loved KU, but smaller community at Avila was a definite advantage. The staff at Avila were able to engage in more of a personal, close-up relationship with their students allowing for better overall learning."

"Avila University provided me with not only a great education, but great values to live by as well. I spent two years in the nursing program and learned more than I could have ever imagined. The instructors are knowledgeable, professional, and caring; they really do want you to be successful in school and in your career. I would highly recommend Avila University to any individual no matter what their age, their schedules are flexible and the education you receive is invaluable."

"Avila has a great faculty who works hard to teach students what they will need to be successful in their fields. The graduate programs are typically in the evening and as many students work, building a peer group community is difficult. Professors are always very happy to meet outside of office hours. Because it is a private university, scholarships are hard to come by through the school."

"I feel like the small class sizes are great in this program! I really feel like the faculty gets to know each student well and can make a difference in our education process. I think the program is overly expensive with little to no financial help and very little diversity among the population."
