"This program does not communicate with their students, some of the teachers care about their students but a majority does not care. There is a lack of understanding, respect and communication. My first semester in the program is totally different from my experience in the second semester of the program"

"Baker University was exactly what I needed in an undergraduate university. While it was more expensive than the public state schools in the same state, they do offer a number of scholarships to students who are willing to work to earn them. With a total campus population of about 1,000 students (in 2008), it is a small school. Which, for me, was perfect. Many of my Psychology classes had less than 10 students in them. I had three professors in the Psychology program, and all three were incredible. They showed great passion for the subjects they taught, and great passion for their students. They helped me through some really tough semesters - spending extra time with me the semester my mom died my junior year, to make sure I could still succeed. Due to small class sizes, we as students were able to have more impact on our own learning. We had time to ask questions, to discuss subject matter more thoroughly and take class discussions in different directions to expand our understanding of the material. The campus is beautiful, and feels like home. Everyone knows everyone, and cares about each and every student. Some of the general education classes were pretty boring - but that's just college. Overall I think I received a wonderful education from Baker University. I've been able to find work in a field that I love, and use what I learned about psychology every day. I spent a whole lot of money (and am still spending a whole lot of money paying off loans) for that piece of paper on my wall, and honestly I don't make enough money even 7 years later to whole-heartedly declare it "worth it" - but I think that's an issue with the overall higher education system. Baker is a wonderful place for learning, growing, and feeling at home. And the tiny campus makes for a really short and easy walk to class!"

"I loved my time at Baker University. Due to Baker's smaller campus the professors know their students and invest into the students future success."

"Great school. Small class sizes allow for more personal interaction. Family like culture. Going from a large high school to small campus was a nerve racking thought at first, but I wouldn't have it any other way now."

"I have no cons about the graduate program. Challenging yet, applies real world senario's to assist in retaining the information."

"The a pro for the program is that it is very accelerated, which helps to finish the program sooner. A con is that some of the teachers are opinionated and do not like logic in conversations."

"Anytime you can further your education, it is a plus. The major downfall would be the actual cost."

"Baker had both good and not so good things to offer. Here are just some of the pro's:- Reasonable amount of homework- Instructors that provide real life experiences- I liked the study group environment. It forced interaction among the students.- I liked that I didn't have to take the GMAT to get accepted.- They stress teamwork and provide a good avenue to improve on presentation skills. A presentation is required as part of every course. Here are just some of the con's:- Baker requires students to purchase books through the school, even though they can be found much cheaper elsewhere.- Although I thought the amount of homework was reasonable, I really expected the curriculum to be tougher.- We experienced consistent difficulty accessing the wireless internet offered by Baker while at the school. We instead had to connect through the Fairfield Inn.- We often found that they curriculim guides and syllabi that were provided prior to starting a new course were very inaccurate. We always received a new syllabus the first day of the new course, and it usually was very different than what we were previously provided.Overall, I am happy that I chose Baker to complete my MBA. I look forward to it paying off for me in the future."

"I was in the Master's Program at Baker. It's a 22 month program, one evening a week. It was a pretty good program - the homework wasn't horrible either (well, most of us didn't read the assigned chapters like we were supposed to, and made it through with mostly A's or B's). Most of the teachers were pretty cool and knowledgeable. My class had 17 people in it and we were in groups of 4 throughout the entire program. We usually met about 1 night a week outside of class for group projects. I think I enjoyed that more that I would have working alone, but it just depends on the person. What else...I think the only real complaint most of us had was about the technology at the Lee's Summit campus. We always seemed to have faulty internet connections but we borrowed internet services from a hotel accross the street. So that wasn't a huge deal but we liked to complain about it!Oh, we also get laptops, which was pretty nice. They gave us the option at the end of the program to buy them at a discount, which I did. So that was a pretty nice perk."
