"Bellarmine is an excellent university with a reputation of excellence among their students. Class sizes are small and teachers are always there to provide assistance whenever necessary. There are also multiple organizations to join on campus, allowing for individuals whom you may connect with most to get to know one another."

"With the exception of three courses the entire program was an overwhelming waste of time and money. The professors were not knowledgeable on the topics they were teaching, and were unable to provide any valuable real-world insight on the material. This is unfortunate, because this degree program cost quite a bit in terms of both time and money. The value delivered was negligible. I would not recommend pursuing an MBA at Bellarmine. The students are not engaged, or able to follow the material in a way that allows for the classes to be conducted at a higher level, the faculty as mentioned above are generally either unqualified or uninterested in what they are doing, and the overall experience was incredibly frustrating. There were multiple concentrations that were marketed as being available to students that suddenly were dropped after enrollment, and a number of other occasions where faculty engaged in bait and switch tactics. This MBA program is setup to maximize revenue for a failing institution, not to deliver an educational experience that will further your career. If you need to pursue an MBA program in the Louisville area I would recommend either going to UofL, or determining if you would be able to participate in an online program. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!"

"Bellarmine University's BSN program is top-notch. In the Louisville area it is very prestigious. If you are up against another person for a job and the employer finds out you're a Bellarmine grad you've definitely got a leg up on the competition. The student to professor ratio is ideal. The professors and program really want you to succeed."

"I went to Bellarmine University for their academic rigor, small class sizes, clubs, and more. I am greatly satisfied with my degrees since they prepared me for my graduate school program: Masters of Education in Higher Education. Bellarmine will give you a wonderful education in an exciting city!"

"Small Catholic college with great ambitions and student to teacher ratio. You will get a great education but will have to work hard to perform well."

"The biology program at Bellarmine introduced me to a variety of classes. Thanks to the variety I experienced, I don't have to take those classes as a graduate student. The professors are genuinely interested in how you are doing, both in and out of the classroom. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my biology degree and took a long path to get to teaching, but my professors were there at every step of the way to help me make choices and connect me with the right people. All of my recommendations for graduate school were written by professors that I encountered in the biology and chemistry departments and I think that says a lot about how much I value them."

"My university was a small, liberal arts college with small classes and fantastic professors. My only complaint is that it was very expensive and put me in a great deal of debt."

"A pro of my graduate program is that there is a relatively small class size so we get to know each other and the faculty really well. Most of the staff has an open door policy so they are easily accessible either by dropping by their office or definitely by email. Each course builds on a previous course so as you go through the semesters things become more clear and start falling into place. Another great thing is that there is tons of hands on learning throughout the program. The third year alone is made up of three 12 week internships. Also, students come from all over to be in this program so there is a diverse population. A con for me in the program would be the cost. It is quite pricey at a little over $11,000 a semester. The faculty and staff recommend not working during the course of the program so that leaves most with little to no money left to live on. They are also very strict when it comes to missing class with very few things falling under the excused absence category. Aside from the cost and the program being pretty much a job, it is great! I would not trade my program for another!"

"Cons: The program is relatively young, which means that some of the bugs are still being addressed. Financial aid does not allow for fellowships, teaching assistantships, or scholarships. Small faculty means certain courses are offered every other semester or every other summer. Pros: Though the program is small and new, it has managed to draw professors from powerhouse schools like Penn, UK, and UT Austin. The faculty are extremely personable and committed to helping you succeed. They generally respond to contact within 24 hours and have flexible office hours. The classes are small-- ranging from 5 to perhaps 15 students. Program allows for three elective courses out of ten required courses to complete degree; electives are diverse in nature. Gorgeous campus situated in a great city full of culture and friendly folks."

"Pros: This program removes the pressure of exams by using team and individual projects and assignments to assess students. Typically the student remains with the same team throughout the entire program (with the exception of electives) which reflects the team environment often experienced in companies. However there are exceptions and the experience of being on multiple teams is beneficial. The professors all have working experience and many are still working in the areas covered by the courses they teach. This brings current business issues and application into the classroom. The program is structured to cover the basics of general business including accounting, marketing, finance, economics, and human resources. The class size is small (about 20 students) and you take all your classes with your cohort. An international trip is also included with your tuition and it is a good opportunity to observe business from an international perspective. This program is part-time, but allows you to finish within 2 years while also working full-time. There are multiple formats to choose from to best fit your lifestyle requirements. Cons: The majority of the students are from the Louisville area which is not very diverse. If you are from another state or country it can be very difficult to find a job and you may have to apply for positions in Indiana which is at least a 15 minute commute. Although there is a career services center, they were not very helpful. Some of the professors try to help with finding jobs if you ask, but many positions are in accounting or finance. The teams can have a negative impact on your experience if you are struggling to work well with your team members. It is very difficult to switch teams once you have been assigned to one."

"I felt that the faculty and staff at Bellarmine supported me during me tenure there. They helped me find a job teaching while I was still in the program. The teachers were always available to talk with me outside of class. The only thing I would have liked more of was instruction as to how to teach my particular subject area. There was more instruction on the general process of teaching than on how to teach specifically in each subject area."

"Bellarmine University's Instructional Leadership and Administration program is academically challenging. The discussions and projects push my thinking and have made me a better teacher in the process. I would highly recommend the program to any educator looking to advance in the field. This program is not for the faint at heart. Be prepared to have little time for a social life while completing the intense work. However, if I had a choice, I would do all over again!"

"My graduate program at Bellarmine University provides exceptional preparation for students in the Master of Science in Nursing program with a specialty in Family Nurse Practitioner. The program is not cheap and the workload can be difficult and heavy. However, the academic preparation, faculty support, and school use of technology prove to be valuable tools in preparing its students for careers as Family Nurse Practitioners. After graduation, I have full confidence I will be able to provide excellent direct patient care to people of all ages and promote wellness and healthy living."
