"Aside from Birmingham-Southern's incredible academics, the community is what sets this college apart. The caring faculty and staff helped me discover my strengths and passions and complete my degree program in biology and graduate with honors. The students here both challenged me to excel further in my studies but also in my cultural awareness and activism. I would not be who I am without this community. My biology degree program prepared me incredibly well for a career or graduate program in the health field and many of my close friends are enrolled and excelling in medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, dentistry, as well as mental health. And we each got our start in Anatomy and Physiology at Birmingham-Southern!"
