Blinn College is a great two-year school for a variety of reasons, including affordability, low student-teacher ratio, vocational training programs, and transfer arrangements with major Texas Universities (Texas A&M University, University of Texas, etc.). In regards to extracurricular activities, Blinn offers robust athletic and band/music programs, as well as a number of student groups (honor societies, academic clubs, religious groups, etc.). During my time at Blinn, I was fortunate to participate in the Honors Program, as well as groups/organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa honor society, M.E.D.S. Club, Lions Club, etc. There are so many excellent instructors across Blinn, and the class size is ideal to get to know them and other students. Due to my experience at Blinn, I was able to graduate with an associate's degree and transfer to Texas A&M University. The transition from high school to Blinn to Texas A&M was easy, and I feel starting out at Blinn is a great decision (academically and financially). Whether you are looking for a vocational degree, career change, or a pathway to a university, Blinn College is a great starting point.
