Degree: Biochemistry
Graduation Year: 2016

Boston College's biochemistry program is definitely heavy on the chemistry, but you certainly get a good taste of biology as well. The professors in the Chemistry department are extremely successful and well-known in the field, and there are a lot of opportunities for research both on campus and in the city of Boston. With a Biochemistry degree from BC, I feel prepared to start a career in pharmaceuticals, biomedical research, medicine, or any other related field. What I loved about BC in general was the fact that I was getting first-rate academics but also could be fully engaged in other campus activities. The majority of the student body gets involved in at least one or two things outside of class, and there are clubs and organizations for nearly any discipline you could imagine. The school is big enough that everyone can find something just right for them, but also small enough to get that community feel walking across campus. BC is a Jesuit school and thus encourages students to "Go out and set the world aflame" - find something you're good at and something you're passionate about, and use your time at BC to develop these skills and passions into a future that both makes you happy and makes a difference in the world. BC challenged me academically and personally, and I truly feel that when I graduated, I had become both a competent scientist and as well as a well-rounded, self-aware individual ready to consider my place in the world and how I can truly leave an impact.

Degree: Political Science
Graduation Year: 2013

Boston College was an absolutely wonderful experience. The professors are some of the top in their respective fields and they demand a lot from their students. The community is very spirited, and exciting to be a part of the school spirit whether it be with a sports or intramural team, or academic club, or volunteer organization. The liberal arts education is unparalleled, and helped prepare me to be a well-rounded human being.

Degree: Chemistry
Graduation Year: 2015

It is a great school to go to if you fit into the WASP category. The school provides a great environment to learn and help those in need, however the student body is not very diverse. Thus, if you do not belong in the mentioned class, you might have a hard time adjusting to the hard-partying/ hard-studying lifestyle

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2016

Boston College is a truly incredible institution that offers its students many opportunities, both inside and outside of the classroom. The majority of the professors there are excellent in that they both challenge and support their students. The students at Boston College are motivated to do well in their classes, give back to the community, learn about the rest of the world, get involved in on-campus activities and enjoy their time in college. Boston College is also in a beautiful and exciting setting, with lush grounds located just outside of the city of Boston. Most importantly, the university instills its students with the knowledge and confidence that they need to be successful in their futures and to make an impact in the world.

Great professors. A conservative campus with a liberal undercurrent that I'm proud has been expanding and being more vocal during my time here.

Degree: History
Graduation Year: 2011

Boston College can be a great, supportive community, but the administration is very close-minded and if you do not fit the typical heterosexual, white, and affluent student type, you will receive very little support.

Degree: Philosophy
Graduation Year: 2015

Overall fantastic experience. City opportunity you must take advantage of, music scene and museums in particular. Great campus and balance between neighborhood and large city. So long as you do not become discouraged by the amount of people and try your best to be true to yourself and make friendships count, then you will meet some of your best friends for life. Great balance between studies, resources available on and off campus, and activities to spend time on a Friday evening.

Degree: Nursing Education
Graduation Year: 2014

Nursing curriculum is well-rounded and has unique programs to bolster resume/applicant likability. Fantastic, reputable nursing instructors. Conveniently located near Longwood Medical Area, which is a medical mecca.
