"I would self describe as a Northeast liberal who loves to learn and meet people. I was drawn to BM because of its promise for study abroad programs, small classes, and a unique opportunity to study with a diversity of women. Of course COVID impacted my experience, but what was most disappointing is the school’s culture. It’s an echo chamber of extreme liberalism that supports a dangerous cancel culture that is the antithesis of diversity and learning. There is no diversity of thought. And if you have a different experience that supports a different view, you quickly learn to keep it to yourself. The diversity you see is largely foreign students who stick to their cultural sub-groups. Getting a study abroad program approved is painful and the school’s sales pitch about individualized learning programs rings hollow once you get there. If you’re a white liberal female who knows you’re right about everything already at the age of 18, and you feel angry and self-righteous about the atrocities of society, most or probably none of which you have experienced, this school is perfect for you. Biggest and most expensive mistake. Oh, and the food is repetitive and barely good."

"Bryn Mawr is a great school. It's small enough to preserve a real sense of community and large enough to constantly be meeting new people."

"Bryn Mawr was an extremely supportive environment. Professors have high expectations of students and we were pushed to achieve our intellectual potentials. As a result, a significant percentage of the class went directly to graduate school. Many went after a few years. Bryn Mawr prepares students well academically. However, the career advisory part is lacking and the career development office was not as helpful as I'd like. Students interested in business or finance will have to aggressively network and find outside opportunities instead of relying on campus recruiting."

"Bryn Mawr College provides an intense and immersive undergraduate experience. There's a lot of encouragement for students to pursue STEM fields, but some of the most popular majors are in the Humanities and Social Sciences. It's a women's college, and there's a lot of discourse around gender, feminism, and intersectionality, and the student body is passionate, so there's a huge amount to learn outside the classroom as well. Bryn Mawr town is about 20 minutes away by a very convenient train from downtown Philadelphia, which is an exciting place too--good art, food, opportunities to intern, participate in grassroots organizing, etc. Bryn Mawr is a small-ish liberal arts college, which has pros and cons--it's intimate and extremely welcoming, and there's a strong sense of community, but it doesn't have the diversity of classes you might get at a larger university. Students are able to take classes at Haverford, Swarthmore, and UPenn, though, which is a great opportunity. Overall, Bryn Mawr provides a great, rigorous education."

"The English program at Bryn Mawr College is absolutely fantastic! Class sizes never exceeded 30 and were often less than 15. Professors are insightful and always happy to work one on one with you."

"Bryn Mawr is a wonderful school to attend for students looking for a rigorous education in a tight-knit liberal arts environment. I constantly felt challenged in my classes and all of my professors were highly accessible both in class and out. While the school is small in size, it never felt isolated thanks to its proximity to other colleges and the city of Philadelphia. The campus has a strong sense of community, and traditions help create a bond between students that stays with you long after graduation."
