California Intercontinental University

California Intercontinental University is an excellent military-friendly institution. However, this review is focused on the faculty, the face of the institution. I have completed 8 terms with 6 different professors and the unequaled standout has been Dr. Barbara Lennard. She challenged me both academically and personally, and I am truly inspired and appreciative of her attentiveness. She has a wide knowledge of the subject material and is very encouraging of her students. One particular interaction... Read More illustrates the intensity and devotion she provides to her students. In response to one of my mid-term assignments, she simply responded..."you get it!" Those three words were a powerful validation tool that i will always look for in the rest of this program.

I earned my Doctorate of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Business Management in 2018. I found the course material challenging,rewarding and I received an education that I did not expect. I had many options but I selected CIU because they were one of the few universities that had a DBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship . . . a very wise decision I made. This school was excellent. It was a tough road to get a DBA and after over 320 papers and a Dissertation, I got it. I feel like I learned a ton and I feel like it was a first rate education. My undergrad MS was from an Ivry League school and I have been in some senior roles in corporations and government. What I learned at CIU was no less rewarding (and no less rigorous) than the MEng, MS, MA, and BS that I have. I completed the doctoral program (DBA) at CalU 5 years ago and can attest to the benefits of this school & CalU's program design. I found both the rigor and depth of each course to match or exceed similar courses in other programs with universities that are 'regionally accredited' or referred to as 'brick and mortar' schools. The CalU program is a fresh approach, utilizing case study problems, and builds the student's competency with each additional course. The accelerated school terms are a boon to those looking to accomplish schooling while working in a professional environment. Technical support in working through the sometimes difficult online Learning Center system has been outstanding.

I've been going to CalU (California Intercontinental University for over a year now. Completed 13 classes so far.

Majority of the instructors are very good and the classes are pretty challenging. I would recommend this college if you don't have a lot of free time, a family to raise and work full time. It can be done!

So far, I'm hold on to a 4.0 GPA. The classes are 6 weeks long and only 8 classes a year (to be a full time student). The cost of the classes are very reasonable. I've compare them to... Read More others and found that they are the best priced.
