"The Master of Social Work program at Cal State Fullerton has been a rigorous yet wonderful program. So far, it has provided me with a diverse experience where I was able to work with multiple populations and with individuals from all walks of life. During my first year, I was able to intern for the county and provide mental health services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. It has been my career goal to work as a medical social worker in a hospital setting, and I have been granted that opportunity for my second-year internship here at Cal State Fullerton!"

"I love the Masters of Social Work Program because it is very challenging yet enriching. The professors are all very supportive and caring and they WILL NOT let you fail. My professors and colleagues are always available and will accommodate in any way needed. The only thing about the school, but not necessarily the program is that on a college student budget, food is quite expensive. Also, the workload is a bit heavy, but expected for a graduate program. Lots of reading involved, but all useful and interesting."

" This program is fantastic! The faculty is professional, diverse, and very helpful in assisting its students with their own professional development. All faculty members are easily accessible and know their students on a personal basis. The courses available, as well as the various concentrations make for this program to stand out above the other surrounding college MSW programs. Cons: The graduating class of 2015 is larger than anticipated, which made many unnecessary challenges for the faculty members in the MSW program. The ratio of instructors to students was too high from the beginning and the program wasn't prepared for this growth. I am certain that the faculty will be able to learn from their mistakes, but it was hard being the "guinea pig" cohort because quite a few students were left without internships for quite the duration of the school year, yet these persons were able to complete alternative assignments to account for the program's mistakes."

"The teachers are all very knowledgeable and are there to help you with any questions or issues that you may have. The assignments that are given help you learn about yourself as well as the community around you. Every assignment that I have completed thus far has been beneficial. This graduate program is on the California State Fullerton Irvine campus. The parking is easily accessible, and there are on campus police."

"The program is competitive and has a good reputation within the social work community. The teachers really strive to help the students achieve success. There is a heavy workload but it is fair for the graduate level. I am currently in the 3 year program with evening classes. It is difficult to work full time and balance the program in year 2 and 3 due the the16 hour weekly internship required of the program."
