"CMU's MBA program is filled with professors and faculty who genuinely care about students and are successful in the fields that they teach. They bring their experiences into the classroom to improve the course of study. If I had a concern it is that some classes, i.e. FIN classes, are not always available in a timely manner."

"Pros: Professors are very willing to meet with classes outside of class time to discuss material. Cost of living in the area is relatively low. Many outdoorsy activities in the area. The program emphasizes working in groups and becoming close with classmates. Cons: Not too many things to do in the surrounding area. Close knit faculty makes it difficult to bring up issues with classes."

"Central Michigan University offers the full college feel without the big college campus. It not overwhelming or too much to handle. You can easily fill your day with back to back classes (something that cannot be done on larger campuses). Central Michigan is in the heart of the state and offers the bigtime college feel in small town USA."

"Located in colleges mall town setting. Knowledgeable and dedicated faculty. Nice local recreational resources, environmental education emphasis. Have seen through alumni publications that campus has expanded over the years since I was there. Had been able to utilize program projects in real-life practical applications."

"CMU is a wonderful university with a great community feel to the campus. The campus is beautiful and the staff and faculty that I encountered were all wonderful and really cared about the future of their students. The university is always growing and changing with new advances in different fields. It is a great place to get a BS or MS in many different fields of study."

"I absolutely loved attending CMU. While I had the opportunity to attend University of Michigan or Michigan State University, I chose Central for several reasons. It was really the only place that felt like home to me - it had the friendliest campus and the only tour where I didn't feel intimidated. This feeling remained for my entire tenure at CMU - I have never been on a more welcoming college campus, and I made many lifelong friends. For me, this was extremely important, as it allowed me to concentrate on my academics without worrying about my social life. I got plenty of personalized attention from professors that you would never get at a bigger school, and grew by leaps and bounds in both my academic and personal life. I'm currently in graduate school at Michigan State University, and feel that Central prepared me very well for my experience here - however MSU's campus is much less navigable physically and socially than CMU's. I would definitely recommend Central for people seeking solid academics and a wonderful college experience."

"I believe my college experience was good. I enjoyed the closeness of my classes in undergraduate college better than my graduate experience. Some classes seemed too easy and not informative enough."

"Central Michigan has provided me with the best possible education for Pre-Medical courses and my career path of Medicine. Their Alternative Breaks and International programs are top ranked and engage students in hands-on philanthropy, field work, team-building and leadership opportunities. Their connections to clinics across the state has truly enriched my collegiate experience and have enhanced my resource base to further build on as I pursue my medical degree. The faculty is geared towards student success, and nothing less. Professors come to campus on the weekends for study sessions, stay late during the week, and continuously bend over backwards for students in order to promote their individualized learning habits and success. If I had to do it all over again, I would select C.M.U. AGAIN, without second thought. I could go on for hours about how many opportunities I have been afforded through C.M.U, the Honors Scholar Program, and School of Health Sciences. From research, teaching assistance, interactive labs, field work, international excursions, leadership camps, and so on... C.M.U. offers infinite opportunity for personal, academic, and professional advancement. I am a proud Chippewa, and will forever bleed maroon and gold. Fire Up!"

"CMU was a great experience. It is a smaller campus than most universities in Michigan, but it is a comfortable and safe environment. The health administration major was new when I began, but it has developed into an organized and rewarding program. CMU has well prepared me for a future career in health care, as well as encouraged me to continue my education."

"The pros of this program greatly outnumber the cons. The professors, staff, and mentors working for the program make the program everything that it is today. The experience learned in and out of the classroom are irreplaceable. The coursework is rigorous, but that is to be expected at the graduate level. The faculty is extremely supportive and wants success in each one of the students. Everyone in the program encourages a noncompetitive environment, which as a student is very important to reduce stress! I would recommend this program to anyone interested in becoming a physician assistant!"

"I am in my third year of attaining my Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences. I am a single mom and some of my psychology classes for my minor are online. All the chemistry and biology courses are taken on campus as lectures or labs. Central Michigan University is a great college!! It is perfect for transitioning from a small, limited-opportunities school to a place where your greatest dream is only four to five years away. The classes are designed to move along quickly yet include activities to help students remember the material. CMU want students to apply their accumulated knowledge to further studies. They love to show off their alumni! I will be one of them soon, standing proudly with my degree and thanking my son for motivating me to stay in college."

"Collaboration is encouraged between students as well as between students and professors. The on campus clinic and outside placements prepare us for a real career. Assignments given to us are all helpful for bettering ourselves as professionals and not just busy work. The campus and resources on campus are great, as well."
