Degree: Criminal Justice
Graduation Year: 2008

I wish I would have known more about financial aid and to have counselors that can help put you in the right direction during college and post college. Help in aiding where to work after college.

Degree: Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration
Graduation Year: 2008

I had thought I wanted to go to a big University, but after a visit to one I knew it was not for me. CWU offers an extraordinary experience you can only receive from a smaller school. I received a wonderful and unique education available only at CWU.

Small programs, you can get connected with your teachers easily. The people that work there all seem to love what they do and it reflects in the programs and classes offered.

Degree: Geology/Earth Science, General
Graduation Year: 2007

Central provided a small enough campus to get to know most people, but large enough to support a diverse and vibrant population. The college boasts a wide variety of quality programs, including teacher prep, theatre, and geology. Both the sciences and arts receive attention and accolades.

Once you get through the red tape it's easy! Just kidding, it's worth it! I didn't want to wait tables for the rest of my life. A Bachelor degree is the new Highschool Diploma. Whatever you study doesn't mean that you're stuck in that path forver.

I was happy with my program's class options and electives when I initially enrolled in the major. However, during my time at CWU, there were major budget cuts. I had the same handful of teachers for all my courses, even if they weren't completely the best option for the lessons. I also found it hard to find my electives as the program continued to shrink. And despite the small size, I still wish I had had more individual attention.

Degree: Accounting
Graduation Year: 1984

My college degree was instrumental to my career, which I consider successful. My degree allowed me to obtain well paying jobs which I would not have been able to obtain otherwise. It also gave me greater flexibility in work location, which allowed me and my family to relocate to the specific place we wanted to live. I am 59 years old and recently retired. I was financially able to retire early because the jobs I've held in my career paid well enough to allow me to save adequately. Without my college degree I would still be working, most likely at a lower paying job. My recommendation: Obtain a college degree in a field that is of interest to you, but also in a field that is in demand from the employer's perspective. You work hard and pay a lot for that degree, make it worthwhile!
