"I am currently a student in the evening nursing program. The instructors for first term are great. They are very helpful and friendly. The overall environment of the school is good. The location is convenient and I like that the classes are short and to the point."

"This school is ALL about the money. They are too cheap to have a building in which the air conditioning works all year round (while having two classes at once: we were shuffled around to three hotels, a near by college, a clinical site, and to sit in 100 degree rooms). There is a "lab" in which we spent a total of 5 hours in at the VERY beginning of the program and had to pretend (example: learning to put in a foley catheter, we used a G-tube).Instructors are condescending; very few actually care about the students and their success. My current struggle: I am in the 4th term out of 5, took a final exam today and did not pass by 3 points. This was due to concentrating on the other class I was also taking because of the horror stories from previous classes. I have an A in the other class with a final on Friday (it is Tuesday) and I am not being allowed to take the final. So I have wasted a month and a half and about $250 on gas because my clinical site is an hour and a half away (in which I never missed a day, was never late, and was the only student to turn in my care plan on the scheduled date) I have to return in 2 months to take both classes over again, which means more money to Concorde and more money out of my pocket to pay for gas to get to clinical sites that I've already been to and done. Not to mention, I'm 6 months pregnant and will be 8 then.If that does not make up your mind...Concorde has contracts with clinical sites, Concorde does not care where you live compared to where the clinical sites are located, and the sites in which I have been to are places in which all CNAs run and hide to make the student nurses do all of their work (changing briefs, putting people on and taking people off toilets, feeding, taking vitals. NOT THINGS NURSES DO ALL DAY LONG)I hope this helps and that if you do chose Concorde, I hope your experience is better than the one I had."

"Concorde Career Colleges does not provide quality education based on the fact that the instructors are not required to have any prior teaching experience and the turnover rate of instructors is high. The clinical experience for the vocational nursing program does not expose students to the nursing aspects of patient care. As a former student of Concorde, my clinical experience was completed in nursing homes and the students perform as nurses aides. Concorde does not expose their students to maternal nursing. This for profit college is not concerned with the students or the type of education they are providing. The student drop rate is high due to the fact they can encourage re- entry and require the student to apply for financial aide each time they are re- entered into the program."

"I attended the Dental Assisting program in Lauderdale Lakes in 2004. I had great teachers and the director of the program was wonderful too. I tried to get into BCCs DA program, but there was a 2 year waiting list. The tuition was a bit pricey, but it paid for itself as I will never worry about having a steady job."

"I honestly thought that my experience in 2009 for the PCT program would have been much like the one I received in 1992 when I graduated from the Medical Asst. program or better. However, this was not the case. Although, everyone from Admissions to Financial Aid made it seem very promising and made me believe they cared, was not the case. The school has a lot of turn around among their instructors. The labs are never fully equipped, there harly no supplies and the equipment doesn't work. In addition, the classes are not thought or layed out. Basically you are on your own. I had a meeting set-up recently by Student Services set-up for 10:00am last Friday (09-02-11) to re-enter the school since I couldn't complete the program due to a "high risk pregnancy" and was to meet Student Services and the Director of Nursing. Well, I arrived at approx. 9:45am, filled out several re-entry forms, waited and waited and waited and was told that L. was in a meeting and couldn't see me, C. was out and the Director of Nursing had not yet arrived. They are very incompitent and expect students to be on-time and not have abcenses because they will withdraw you, yet, the people running the show can't do what they are there to do. Time is money and when you have a vision and a goal set, you should not start off this way. If this is how it is in the beginning, then, it's more then obvious that they do not care of future student or bringing them back on board if one was to withdraw in good standing because of illness. They really make it seem that they care for students and follow through and care about them during the registration process. Thereafter, they achieved their method (Obtaining your money). I sincerely wish everyone the best in whatever career you may choose. I hope the this information will help your decision when considering this school. NOTE: By the way, according to other students that continued the program after I withdrew stated that, during their clinicals, they were not acknowledged, nor were they able to provide care or apply their skills at the facilities because they were from Concorde."

"I too had my director leave with a new one that started. Im not sure if Niki and I where at the same school, cause that name does not ring a bell and I new all the ST students. But anyway I was an average student who needed assistance alot and anytime I asked I got it, if it wasnt for the dedication of the new staff and director I would have not made it. Just my thoughts"

"In the beginning director was great...she left and now we are with a director who is incompentent, always behind, never lectures. We have complained as a class with fear of not being passed and it has fallen on deaf ears, what a surprise, they just put bandaids on situations to save themselves. The whole class will never recommend this school to anyone...ever"

"I am happy that I attended Concorde Career College. The hours that were offered were great so that I could continue to work while I was in school. The instructors of the classes were wonderful. They really care about their students. I took my test on Friday 3-20-09 and I am now a MA. I am now working on my Associate Degree. A great big thanks goes out to Concorde."

"Concorde allowed me to focus on finding a career and finding one fast. Their financial aid dept. helped to pay for my training with flexible terms. Then their career placement professionals helped me to find a job. I did have some small issues with the financial aid dept. but overall I had a great experience. I now have a stable well paying job with plenty of room for growth."
