"My advice is to go elsewhere for your PhD. When I enrolled in the PhD program I was met with the most toxic professor I’ve encountered. 3/4 of the class dropped it by the halfway point and I should have followed. I decided to go elsewhere for my education as one professor can reflect on the entire program."

"I obtained my BSN from Concordia University and felt that I was well equipped to function as a nurse in most capacities and units. The program provided diverse opportunities for learning and growth and supported my desires and interests. I enjoyed collaborating with the teachers and felt that the course work and expectations were communicated well and were fair."

"I graduated in 2013 with an unique degree in Women & Gender Studies with minors in Psychology and Sociology. The classes really challenged my thinking process. I was an older student, but it was never an issue. This is a private college with a public college feel. It is a small campus minutes outside of Chicago. The professors expect a lot from their students, but they will help you get there. There are plenty of activities to do. Go to the campus and go on the tour. Then, came back and find a student to show you around again. Talk to professors and neighbors."

"Concordia University Chicago is in such a great location with so many opportunities. The psychology program has very supportive professors who encourage you to do your best. They are very helpful in your coursework and are excellent educators. The school has connections with many different internship sights that will give you the experience you need. The Exercise Science program is a challenging program, but all worth it in the end. These professors are also very encouraging and available whenever you need. I would recommend Concordia because of the people and location."

"I am the first to graduate with a bachelors degree in the Pre-Art Therapy program since this program just opened in the year 2016. The financial aid service and career service are very helpful when it comes to financial stability. I enjoyed professors in the English, art and psychology department because they where willing to give advice on educational and personal life experiences."

"Concordia University Chicago is a great school if you want to become a teacher. Our education program is awesome. But most of the other programs are mediocre. This university does a great job of recruiting prospects and making them feel important. Once you have been accepted everything changes and you become just a number. I met some great people during my time there but what the things I was taught I felt I could have learned on my own."

"The education is exactly adequate. The school itself is very dry (both in recreation and in alcohol). Very few professors will challenge you intellectually, and very few students are there for things other than religious activities, or sports. Keep in mind, these are D3 sports, so you get exactly the kind of people who think D3 sports is something to be overly proud of playing. I ONLY went here because I had an option for a full tuition waiver, so I did all four years, but disliked most of it. Overall, would not recommend to a friend."

"Concordia's Educational Leadship program is outstanding. The work is rigorous no doubt but purposeful. Instructors have all been supportive and extremely knowledgeable. Staff at the school has so far been very responsive to any needs I have had. I would highly recommend this program to others."

"From my point of view there is no con to my graduate program. Since I have been in the MBA Program, I have been entertained by numerous future job offers. I made a great decision."

"A Pro of my graduate program is that I truly get the opportunity to see how big business works and its functions and how it applies to the real world. It is truly an eye opening experience. The Con is you see as it relates to people that you are at the mercy of the individual in charge and how this person relates to his fellow co workers and employees. From a political perspective which is my back ground this is very interesting. I see many solutions that I can apply in helping others all the way around."

"Great program that provided local cohort locations with an effective real world curriculum and high quality flexible staff. Meeting for an actual class, as opposed to online, provided networking opportunities and personal connections with staff, curriculum, and other professionals in the classes. Overall positive experience!"

"Pros: the quality of the instructors. Comfort they give to the international students Cons: Cohort program should be expanded to the North area"

"Overall, the program was very good. The ease of communicating with the professor and the location of the other students was a plus. All of us were from a similar geographical area and it made getting together for group projects quite easy. The courses were interesting, rigorous and relevant. It is one of the better MA in Ed Leadership programs in the area. Also, the preparation it gave to pass the state licensing exam was outstanding."

"The pros are the you are able to complete the program with a cohort. I enjoy my colleagues in my cohort. We count on each other for support and are able to relate to each other because of our professions and future goals. The cons of the program is that there has been some changes in terms of accreditation since I began the program. I unfortunately learned this information through another student in the same program. Needless to say, it did cause some chaos."

"The faculty for the most part is extremely supportive and approachable. I have learned a lot throughout my program at Concordia. The teachers are very knowledgable about the content they are teaching as well. The cohort program is a nice way to go through the school counseling program. I have built supportive relationships with everyone in the cohort, which is nice. Going through the cohort is also very helpful when working a full-time job. The program is convienient and accomodating. Additionally, the financial aid advisor is amazing. He is a guru of financial aid, and he breaks things down and makes it comprehendible for the average student. However, there are a few things that I wish I had known before attending this program. My advisor is not very efficient. He does not respond to e-mails, and he is not very knowledgable concerning courses scheduling and protocol for setting up practicum sights. Most importantly, Concordia recently lost its CACREP accreditation for their school counseling programs. This was one of the selling points of attending the school. I chose to pay more money for a distinguished education. However, within the last two months Concordia has lost its accreditation. I found that extremely poor business ethics on their part. I realize that this was not their intention, however, as a student I was furious at the time. I have had no problems with the program other than the advisor and CACREP accreditation."
