This is not a place to receive higher education, period. This is a place to show up, sign in and get a degree for 30 thousand. This place absolutely won't prepare you for any IT field. Low quality, high cost. Terrible, terrible, terrible. I finished my program and successfully broke into IT by myself. This place has no valuable input on how to do this.
I agree with Daymar being a diploma mill. They have poor instructors. They make you pay for books you never crack open. I'll be paying for years on a student loan for a diploma that is essentially garbage. Do yourself a favor and find a better school.
Daymar is just a diploma mill. My mother attended this school when was Draughons Junior College and had a great experience. She told me how wonderful all the teachers and administers were when she attended. After hearing me complain about some of the experiences I was having, she decided to come to school with me and check it out. She was horrified and could not believe how the school is been run. I decided to finish out the semester since I had already spent so much money but I'm not going back next quarter. I I told them I didn't want e-books that I had trouble learning and that I didn't want to take any online classes and they kept trying to make me take them over and over. I am not doing well in those classes but I can't get any help . This school is a joke now. Save some money and go to a real schooll.
A lot of time wasted. The curriculum and teachers are nice people who work in the industry and all. Please please please please please. Just go to Austin Peay and spend half as much. A Daymar Degree is useless! Please go to a Locally Accredited college not Daymar with their for profit accreditation agency. DON'T DO IT!
Do not waste your time with this scam of a school. The degree in Medical billing and Coding is worthless. Employers will not respect a degree from Daymar, which has a reputation of being a diploma mill in the business community. You will run up debt that will be very difficult to repay. You will wind up working at a job you hate just to pay student loans back, or you will have to go to a respected school, which will be cheaper, and earn a degree you can use. None of your credits will transfer either!!!!!!!
This has to be the worst experience I've ever had with a company. I should have known something was wrong when one day, Daymar in Nashville, switched teachers around to different classes the day before auditors were coming. So, they had teachers in classes they weren't qualified to teach. While I was there, I was in Criminal Justice for a semester but they started a new HR program so I switched to that. In many classes, we either watched movies or had homework assignments where they give you all the answers. We learned NOTHING. There were a few teachers that genuinely cared but many did not. Back to this HR degree, they had a list of jobs you can get with the degree but it was all lies. Yes, I should have done my research, as the college would never tell you that an Associate's in HR isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I checked with HR professionals at Bridgestone and Nissan among others and all said it was worthless and a bachelor's was required to get a position in HR. Daymar didn't have a bachelor's program for HR but tried to encourage me to get a bachelor's in Business Administration. Not only that, they cancelled the HR program shortly after I left, which tells they KNEW it was worthless. When I graduated, the only jobs the counselors could find were working at Advanced Financial, a telemarketing firm, and a debt collection agency. Nothing that had to do with my worthless degree. A little while after I graduated, both counselors were fired at the same time. A lot of shady and suspicious things went on there. Their credits didn't even transfer and most other colleges don't acknowledge them. It's not surprising they have had lawsuits brought against them. They tell lies to get people in and dump heaps of debt on them. People that are poor trying to get an education to improve their lives not make them worse. Not one person I graduated with found a job with their degree. I haven't even said anything about how they force you to buy their textbooks for hundreds of dollars and oftentimes offer $1 when you sell them back at the end of the semester. Stay clear of Daymar and do your research before choosing a college! You can do better somewhere else!
This "college" was the biggest joke. First of all I am pretty sure they just went around to local Wal-Marts and asked people if they wanted to be teachers. They have no clue what they are talking about. I went there for one semester before I just couldn't handle it anymore. I learned nothing about running a business, the only thing I ever did was listen to my nut job of a "teacher" spout off random and not even true facts about politics. Also they treat you like children, if you miss a class you better expect about four phone calls a day wondering where you were. And if you miss one week of school they kick you out. so do not plan on going on a vacation, funeral or family holiday. Also I was talking to my boss at the company I work for and she said that if she got a resume and they graduated from Daymar she would laugh and throw your application out. Nobody in any profession takes this school seriously. Oh and also they don't tell you about the nice $1,500 dollar fee they charge you for leaving the school before you graduate. I can't express what a dumb decision going to Daymar was. Please do not waste your time and money on this joke of a school.
I decided to go back to school almost 20 years after I graduated high school, so I was really nervous and unsure about my options. The staff at Daymar really helped me to understand what my options were and encouraged me to follow my dreams. I had so many questions in the beginning and the staff was always available and eager to help. I have just graduated with an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies, and while I do have school loans to pay back, I would have regardless of what school I went to. My mother has the same degree in the same program that I have and her loans were almost as much as mine AND she has half of the credits. Most Associate's Degrees are 64 credits and mine is 104. Also, with online courses, you will do three times as much work as someone that goes to a campus. It has been a WONDERFUL experience for me. The staff has been amazing from start to finish and I am looking forward to what my future holds. I highly recommend Daymar College!
Daymar College in Clarksville is the best campus! Friendly staff, vibrant students and a new name same great quality! If you work hard youll do great! They care about you and your education
I just started at Daymar and never had so much trouble with a school before. They gave me the run around about my financial aid and I was told 20 different things and had to fill out different papers. The teachers don't care about you. I can't get into the myitlab and asked for alternate assignments and only got them for two weeks. I'm glad i'm leaving this piece of crap school!!!
