I really doubt the veracity of some of the reviews here. Especially the extremely positive ones. I attended Devry both on campus and online parttime for several years. The last few years Devry has changed. The executive level has been replaced by non-educators who decided to remodel Devry's hands-on teaching style to a profit centrix approach that puts the focus on promise everything to get them in the door and get their money. To be brutally honest Devry is now a school for underachievers. Unfair I know especially to those students who work hard. But the reason is that pretty much every quiz, test and lab is available by a simple google search (i.e. search CIS 336 Week 2 Quiz). The material is not kept up to date because only the corporate offices can make changes to the course shells which they don't dedicate the time, money or course expertise to do so every piece of course material ends up online for download by students who don't have to think or work to pass the courses. This is not considered to be a problem and they refuse to discuss it since it serves the purpose of not loosing students through academic difficulty. It's a shame because Devry was a very good school but now not so much!

I was almost ready to give up. Then I tried DeVry University Online. I am absolutely happy that I did. Considering that I was a single parent, working full-time, cooking, keeping house, and anything else needed, I had no time or motivation to go to school. The entire admissions team, advisors, and financial team were awesome. I was never rushed off of the phone when I had questions or concerns. I was always contacted to find out how everything in my classes were going, and I even had an advisor who actually listened to me and let me vent when it got tough for me. She believed in me more than I believed in myself and gave me motivation when I was not receiving it anywhere else. I must say, thanks to her, I am pushing my way through and am now more determined than ever to get my degree. There was even a time when I had a bad situation at home and wasn't able to complete a session, and when I called and spoke with an advisor, they put me right back on track, no questions asked, and did not make me feel less of a human being because of my circumstances that caused me to drop out right at the beginning of a session without notice. My children can look at their mother and realize that they can achieve anything in life if they want to, regardless of unfair circumstances that may arise. This is for my children.

Degree: System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager
Graduation Year: 2015

I had already imagined that going back to school was too expensive, too complicated a process and that I wouldn't learn anything new. I could have never been more wrong. It took one phone call to DeVry and I've been hooked ever since. It was during that phone call that I learned I could finish a degree program without a financial burden (VA benefits), work at my own pace, and someone would be there every step of the way to answer any questions that I may have. Two years later, I have completed an Associates program, a senior in a Bachelor's program, have gotten paid to learn (VA and Yellow Ribbon), and haven't been alone as the Professors, college staff, and coaches have been there when I needed them most. DeVry has given me a competitive edge in the job market that I believe that no other could and all from the comfort of my home computer. Looking back I can understand the apprehension but looking ahead I can see opportunity.

Degree: Accounting
Graduation Year: 2015

I was a little skeptical about doing online classes. Speaking with the Devry staff put me at ease and only then did I know I was making the right decision. My professors so far have been very attentive and have helped me understand course material. It is challenging to be in school again after 8 years and I thought I wouldn't do well. I am pleased to say I am doing excellent and hard work definitely pays off. Choose Devry, there will be somebody with you every step of the way.

Here at DeVry I have learned so much about myself. They teach you practical things. Things that you can really use. The instructors are friendly and very helpful. If you ever need help they are there for you. I go to classes on-line and they are still there to help whenever I need them. I get to program in all of the new programming languages. Believe me when I say that if you are looking for a great school to attend, you can't go wrong with DeVry.

Degree: Management
Graduation Year: 2015

I started my journey with DeVry University in 2001 at the campus in Alpharetta, GA. For some unforeseen reasons I was unable to finish my degree. I joined the Army in 2003 and deployed to Iraq 3 times between 2003 and 2012. While in the military I started back attending DeVry Online in 2009 and was determined to finish what I started. Since then, I have retired from the Army and on my final leg of the race towards my degree. I will graduate August 2015 with my B.S. in Technical Management. The skills and knowledge I have gained from DeVry will make my transition to my next career smoother. __ K. C. A. US ARMY Staff Sergeant (RET)

Degree: Graphic Design
Graduation Year: 2016

In 2000, after graduation, I had my dreams of going to school. I did well the first term, but the second one not so well. I was stressing my self out and having problems. So, I decided to just drop out. After 13 years of thinking that I was a failure in life, I decided to go back to school. Within 3 months, I was accepted and starting here at Devry. Right now I am a sophomore and I can't wait to graduate. The reasons I want to finish school is to show my self I can handle anything new and challenging. For my family, to show them I am determined to do it and the other reason to bring my dream to life.

I feel very fortunate to have found DeVry Online because this is the only way I am able to go back to school. At the time when I joined, I had no transportation and no money to buy transportation. Plus I have poor credit since I was laid off from my last professional job in 2007, the heart of the recession. DeVry Online is helping my gaining the technical knowledge and skills that I need to achieve a bachelor's degree in a very competitive world. The classes are challenging and the programs are up-to-date with teaching skills needed in today's Knowledge Revolution. I know the skills and knowledge I gain at DeVry will help my gaining a professional career in data analytics. Indirectly, DeVry is helping me recoup from the recession and build my life again. Thank you DeVry Online!
