It was great I learned a lot at Everest and now I am working towards my Bachelor's in business management To the future students here at Everest they make everything easy for you to understand such as how the online classroom is setup my 3 year is so advance he can work the classroom. Everest walk you through all the steps it take to get you enrolled in school. Don't get me wrong it's a few things Everest could work on for example giving students debit cards for our financial aide money, and they also could give us picture ID badges like other online schools. But overall Everest is a great school to attend.

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL I went here when it was National Institute of Technology, then they changed the name. The Degree are all worth crap.. true you may find a job but that's because they see you have more than a h.s education. I had to learn the hard way that the only real way to get a degree is to attend a real college. and going to a community college then transferring to a University will be wayyyyyy cheaper always!!!!! 28,000 of debt is not work a 18-24 mont program!!! TRUST ME!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME> Attended NYU... he told me no real school/career recognizes these degrees it should be illegal for them to even call them a degree.. tried to go to Wayne state and applied to two community colleges and the all said the same thing..... It took me til I was 28 to realize... I have to go to a real darn school I'll be graduating from USF in December of 2016 and no one even recon. The fact I went to this dam school.. Hope they give me loan forgiveness.

Did this Degree Help Your Career?

The studies in the degree I was going for did not pertain to what I wanted or needed, the faculty and student advisers are just as worthless as the curriculum they have for the degrees they offer. Their classes are very remedial and very little, if anything, you learn will give you the tools you need or provide the training you need to get the career you want. Their biggest selling point is the number of people that get a degree and that you need a degree to show potential employers...I say that its important to have the right training so that you can be a useful resource for potential employers...With very little effort and research you can find the same classes and training they offer at very little or no cost to you...do not enroll at Everest, they are only concerned with making a profit not your education and it shows on their site and software...if you can cover the cost of attending this school, you would be better off putting this money in an IRA or purchasing a house because you would just be throwing this money away for absolutely nothing.

I attend Everest University online for my bachelors and Master degree. Most people attend online classes believing that it would be easier than sitting in a class. Well people it is not. Financial aid is not part of the school. The school it self is good and one must read, study and complete all courses. I noticed how people submit late, do not complete the assignment that was requested and do not check their work. One can not think they are going to past if they do not complete the required work given, at times I wanted to cry because the work was hard but school is not easy it was designed to make a person read, gain knowledge and understand the work. Please do not blame the school blame your efforts in what you put into the school. I had the same issue with financial aid and there is no communication with financial aid and the school. The school submits what is required financial aid is support to calculate and keep accurate information on each student. I have learned a lot from just reading and asking questions, that is what school is about.

Once you reach at a college level school is not easy. Online courses are as well the same as in class. You have deadlines, homework, class participation, and so on. Tuition...well no school is cheap or free in the USA. I did my Bachelor's Degree in a college in NJ and I did my Master's Degree at Everest University Online. If I would've not have the discipline of setting myself to study I would've wasted my time. Online courses are for people that don't have time to sit in class due to heavy parenting schedule or job. School don't suppose to be easy at all because you are learning new things, I agree do not blame the school, blame yourself.

Did this Degree Help Your Career?

I started Everest in April of 2012. My first 8 months were great. Services were amazing and someone was always there when I had questions. In about October I started having problems with my account balance. The loans would always get returned to sender but Everest would still send me an overpayment check. I didn't notice until loan collectors started contacting me about paying the school. I would then call the school and they would say it was a misunderstanding. Eventually it got fixed and I would just continue with my classes but it always puzzled me. Fast Forward to October of 2014 and the same thing happened again with my loans this time nobody would answer their phones. Student services would hang up on me. Financial aid when be unforgivingly rude when I asked questions about it. I called nearly everyday from October 18th to this day and the issue hasn't been resolved. I have already graduated and received my diploma in the mail but nobody is helping with my situation and I have been on top of it 3 month prior to graduation. Now I have been informed that Everest has been bought out by Zenith Education group, my sister was enrolled for business and found out because of this they are dropping her program so she had to withdraw from school, I found out that Everest wasn't an accredited school which may make it hard for students to transfer credits. I believe it's a bunch of bull crap and it needs to be handled. I am now 22,000 dollars in student loans when I was told the most would be 14,000 for 2 years and nobody can explain why. Everest University also promises job placement but ha anyone called and followed up with me? No! I have to call and every time I do, I have been placed with a different advisor and have to repeat the process all over again. It's ridiculous. The instructors were WONDERFUL, and the classes were too. They focused on exactly what I needed to know. That was probably the only thing Everest did right.

It is a shame the company is facing this problem and the students are paying for it. For the time I did my master's degree I was never promised job placement. I hear that all the time and that was not the philosophy of the schools to "find" you a job. They would work with you in terms of where to look but no promises. Yes, instructors were good and so the classes and students. I also heard that you can call directly the department of education and speak to them regarding the federal loans, if the school is closing and the credits are not transferable you can have the loans canceled. So, look into solutions instead of blaming others.

Former Student,

I agree with you 100% and when ever i attend any college or anything that even hints that job placement is possible, i take it like a grain of salt. I am attending Everest University online as well and i am at 58 credits and i am going for my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. The school has its problems but i enjoy the school, classes and some of the teachers.

The only problem i had with Everest is when they didn't tell me if you withdrawal from a class more then once your stuck paying for it and the credits don't count. I was suppose to be a full time student with 12 credtis but only had counted for 10 with that class and it screwed up everything, but i passed.

I am planing on attending to finish my Bachelors degree and maybe my masters. who knows.

Did this Degree Help Your Career?

The employees at Everest have always been extremely helpful and prompt throughout the two years I attended. If I ever needed help in a class I always received a reply from the instructor within 24 hours. My student advisors were always easy to contact and would answer all my questions or find someone who could. I never had any problems with student loans. It was expensive but all schools are, and it was my responsibility to know what I was spending. I learned a lot because I put a lot of effort into my studies and used the resources given to me. There are plenty of tutor programs for those who need extra help. I requested my transcript and received it within two weeks. I feel that earning my associates degree through Everest met its objectives.

Did this Degree Help Your Career?

I understand the complaints from other students and everyone must respect their reviews, because they were affected for sure. I received my Associates in 2011 and Everest found me a job within my field of studies. They emailed my resume to several agencies and I was contacted. Interviews were conducted and I was hired. Everest helps a lot , if you have high scores and of course when you completed your degree. Employeers ask for a two-year college degree and if you only have completed four terms of eight, what do make you think that you are going to be hired only with four terms completed? Also, the U S. High education programs are a huge business. So, do not expect other schools to accept prior credits from other institutions, because then they will not make any profits at all. Campus education and online environments will provide the same materials to learn. The only difference is that in a campus your answers will be addressed probably right away, while in online you will have your answer within 24 hours. Also, online classes require wst more writing and you must participate in order to be graded and keep your financial aid with an average score 2.5 or higher based on your degree. Your diploma is a requirement. You will achieve your real knowledge and skills while you are performing your job duties ( hopefully related to your degree). Fortunately, I have received professional assistance from my school and instructors. I'll finish my BS in 3 months and I'll start my Master's in October, 2015. Good luck everyone and the results, assistance needed, and grades only can be achieved by you and your willingness to push others when assistance is needed & how you are achieving your own objectives.

For example: Ask clarifying questions, share your experience with this school, ask for more information (on classes, professors, career opportunities, etc.)

Did this Degree Help Your Career?

My husband and I both attended Everest and it was the worst decision we had made. I actually had to call to get my diploma from them. After financial aid somehow I owe them money. Their laptop program is a joke, you get an older model for which they charge you $800 for when a new one from Walmart would be less. Recommend you opt out of that program. Their advisers are never available or if they actually do speak to you it is to try and re-enroll you. The career service after you graduate is a joke, I have had 3 advisers and my husband has had 9 since graduation. The only thing they do is send you Craigslist, Monster or Career Builder, well I can do that all on my own. I have been waiting 3 weeks to get my transcript in order to go to a local University and no hope in the coming future for that. The teachers are a waste no steady inter action with students. It amazed me how some people posted but got a great response from the teacher. A one sentence response is not a good feedback to something. Tried getting out but was already in as I was taking 6 classes at a time. The first semester was fine but after that down hill. I have a degree in Business that is of no use and my husband has one in Criminal Justice.

This school was absolute junk. They change advisers frequently, they took my degree completely away but let the students continue to study it. If any one had any kind of issue you were on your own. NO ONE would pick up the phone and if they did, you could tell they didnt care. I hated attending this school. They screwed me and left me with $28,000 worth of debt.

Not only does this joke of a so-called university screw students, they screw employees as well. Employees were encouraged to lie about the recent transition to Zenith, then told at the last minute their services were no longer needed. The CEO is filthy stinking rich while faculty are lucky to see $400 per month on a paycheck, if the paycheck shows up at all. Employees get the same "don't care" attitude when they call too. This place cares about nothing but profit. Go to school where your degree will actually be viewed as valuable. Everest, Zenith, or whatever they are passing themselves off as is one HUGE scam.

Did this Degree Help Your Career?

I've been completely lied to by Everest. I suggest that they hire people who know policies and procedures before letting them get on the phones. I was assured I would be able to enroll in another business associates program because business administration associates is no longer available. Now I'm being told the only option is a bachelors program. If I would've been given accurate information the first time I would have stayed in the program I was in. Then I was told today that after 12 months, I would be able to re-enroll in my business administration associates program, which is obviously a lie, because based on what the student advisor stated "business administration associates is no longer offered". Then I was told business administration associates is equal to having a high school diploma, which means Everest knowingly scammed people if they knew the degree was meaningless. I maintained a 4.0 and was completely happy with my program, until I was pressured to change my course because they were changing the offered programs. They stated the 7000 they refunded to my account they keep and I'm responsible to pay the lender back if l don't re-enroll in one of the programs they now offer. I need my funds returned to my lender or I need to be placed back in my program. If they review all the calls that I've made, they will determine that I was given false information, but conveniently all the supervisors are unavailable. By the way, I've been there since August 2014, It's now March 2015 I have a $3000 credit on my account from what was left over out of my financial aid, but I still haven't seen a penny of it.

Wow. When I enrolled I Everest they told me they did not have an Associate program in Business Admin, only a Bachelor program. The last few times they have contacted me they are telling me that I am in the Associate program, but I know that I have been enrolled way to long to only be eligible for an Associates especially since I was taking between 4-5 classes a term. I started Jan 2013 and will not graduate until June.

If it's one thing Everest is good at, it is lying. Get out of this place as fast as you can. When I graduated, I couldn't get a job anywhere because I was told their degree programs are not recognized as official degrees. Biggest mistake of my life. Now I have a huge debt and nothing to show for it.

AI was enrolled in the associates Degree for Business in July 013.I was due to graduate April of this year. The first of March I was sent an email stating the Associates program was being discontinued and I had ten days to decide what to do. I called and spoke to a representative who bullied me into transferring to the Bachelor program. What a Crock!!! Now I am in the "Student Choice Program" which means another 2 years and more debt. I have not received a stipend for over 8 months. When I called the school I waited and waited only to be told all the money now is just virtual money. My Pell grants have come in and my tuition is paid. Now I have a balance just sitting there that I will never get. This school is a real joke!!!
