The only reason I enrolled to Everest's online program was due to a possible relocation issue in a differant state I could possibly address. After taking a semester of classes through Everest, I acknowledge I had been scammed and dropped out immediently! The one semester I was in, I was top of the class without even trying while the other half who failed to make satisfactory grades complained while answearing complaints in Ebonics, half replies or no replies at all.

Why should I be impressed if I'm"Top of the class"if the bottom is that low?I was so mortified I completed one semester through this "school", I never acknowledge my one past semester With a 4.0 through Everest purely out of embarrassment that I intended there! Yes, I am a single parent who is striving for a higher education. However, this "institution" takes advantage of single mothers that drop out of high school or college and it's awful these for- profit "colleges" are marketed for you! Please acknowledge this!

I agree with an earlier post I read. You get what you give. If you work hard and participate and ask questions and do all your work- You'll be just fine and no, it's not all easy and a picnic. I have been doing this for over a year and it gets harder and harder and sometimes I want to pull my hair out but if you just stay on top of your reading and your assignments- you'll do fine.

Most of the instructors are wonderful and very helpful and "IF" you end up with one you don't like, Oh well- It's just 12 weeks, Just do your work and move on- As far a job- I don't depend on anyone to get my job for me- I'm still in school, so I am not sure about job placement.

I depend on me-same for my education. If you are serious about school, your education and your not one who quits easy- I highly recommend Everest! Good Luck everyone!

Well. I made a huge mistake by going to Everest. I got my associate in CJ in one year's time. The classes were easy and before I enrolled they kept saying they will help me in finding a job. As soon I got my first quarter done. They change everything and said they will help me in finding a job as soon as i get in my last quarter. Okay so going into my last quarter. Then they said" Oh you have to finish the program to have a careers person help you in your career. I was like WTF?? It's been almost 6 months now, i finished the program and all they can find me are security guard jobs that pay $8.00 per hour. What the hell. ?!?!!? The career person said "you should take the security guard job, gain some skills and it would look good on my resume. My 8 years old daughter could of told me that! OH MY GOD! What a total loss for me. There goes $17,000 in students loans and all they can find me are jobs that don't require a high school diploma. Thank god I have an auto body degree because Everest is a joke. All law enforcement employers told me they never heard of Everest and they don't like profit schools and it's not regionally accredited, nationally accredited is no good. SO I just mess up. I wish people read this before they make the same mistake I have. Also not even after 2-3 months after I finished the program my worker keeps emailing me to sign a waiver to stating that I don't need help in finding a job. Thats how they roll. Here's a copy of the email I'm talking about. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Sent on behalf of at Corinthian Colleges, Inc.. I never got my degree. I ran into problems with Algebra class and flunked out. There was no student support. The school's tuition is much higher than any other school.

In general, it is a rip off. They really don't care about you or your situation. I had cancer last year and failed a term due to several surgeries.

The next term was failed also due to health issues. I told my advisor ahead of time what was going on and I was not able to even attend my online classes. It only mattered that they got the student loan money.

I have been enrolled at Everest University Online for about 7 months now. I have never had any negative experiences or problems. I find the staff and professors to be friendly and helpful, If i have a question they get back to me immediately or within a reasonable amount of time.

Basically you get what you give-if you give 100% so will they. Ive noticed that many of the negative reviews seem to come from immature people probably fresh out of high school that do not realize that the college is much different from high school and the professors and staff aren't going to baby you.

In the end its not about them holding your hand every step of the way, its about you being an adult and making choices that will either make or break your educational experiences. So far my educational experience has been nothing but great.

I am noticing with a lot of these reviews that the people saying negative things can't seem to spell and people saying it didn't help their careers don't know about college at all.

A piece of paper is not going to tell any employer that you can do your job. Instead of whining and complaining about the career services department, do your own career services. Most of the programs have a class called: Career Skills. Use it.

The class is not just something to look over really quick or toss together your assignments and not learn anything from it.

Because this is an online university, you will have to prove yourself more than the person whose university name gets them a job even if they do not know how to do it. Try networking, doing informational interviews, researching the company you are applying to, and possibly sending the company a printed (or online) portfolio of what you can do.

Don't take your student loans back since pretty much everything is paid for. I am almost done with one more term left and I only have 12.5 in student loans currently.

I took the time and had the financial services rep on the phone for 1.5 hours until I understood what I was getting into and the cost of the program. I asked question constantly and then I called and asked more questions. I utilized the e-mail system for the student services and more and got responses in 24 to 72 hours.

I am a stay at home, married mother of two small children in preschool and kindergarten. If I can manage to pull of Dean's List, President's List and get invite to participate in programs like other colleges as well as being directed to becoming a student affiliate of the AICPA and much more. So can anyone else.

It is all about how much work you want to put into your schooling and your career.

As other posters said, this is college not high school.

This is also an online school. Which means no one is going to hold your hand through it and most of your learning is done on your own. When the class is over go back and read a chapter when you have time or give yourself random problems to complete and then ask yourself why it is correct.

I was told my credits would be at the discretion of another school to transfer just like - EVERY OTHER COLLEGE!

I love this school and I plan to come back for my bachelors.

I have attended Everest University Online and it is a joke please do your research when trying to attend this school.

They are a bunch of rip offs and you don`t get a degree you get a certifacte of completion all you get from Everest University Online is a huge debt and a worthless piece of paper if you attend here I advise you to run as fast as you can before you end up with a huge debt that will take a life time to pay back.If you ever heard the say to good to be true believe it this school is a rip off.

I went to the Alhambra Campus and it was the worse experience ever the teachers are great and helpful but Admissions and financial aid are horrible.

I got lied to since the day I signed up. I was told there were night classes for me to be able to transfer to when in reality there was none. I was also told I could transfer to a different campus because I was suppose to move when I tried to I was not able to because where I was planning to move there was no everest campus within a 100 mile radius.

My rep said I could go to her if I ever needed anything but after I started I never saw or heard from her again even when I needed to talk to her she wasn't there.

They say the will work with u and help u in every way possible but as soon as they have u in they don't care anymore especially financial aid. I was stuck in a school I didn't want to be in no more and got stuck with $15,000 loan and I'm not even working in what I went to school for. WOuld not recommend this school to anyone it's a scam not worth it.

A lot of the negative responses I am seeing are not only full of errors, but the problems shared are the students fault.

Either not listening, not studying, or simply not caring. I have been setting up to start for a month now and I have had nothing but good experiences.

Financial aid and admissions are prompt with responses. I started classes today and I am pleased with how everything is set up.

I am a military wife and we do not know when we will be given new orders, so starting with Everest was a smart move for me.

I just started school here 14 January 2013. I am a Veteran am attending thru the VRAP program, and I would highly recommend the school. Kari in the certification team for Veterans is on top and the most knowledgeable of the 3 schools I have attended. The professors are great, they return emails immediately and work with you to achieve your goal.

As far as the "success coach", he lied to me, made decisions that I did not agree with, or authorize the course change he made. The student resolution team responds to things immediately and gets things resolved. All of my books and laptop were delivered within days. I am just very impressed with Everest!

At 54 returning to school, my life experience knows what is worth and not worth it. Everest is. Stay away from ACOT in Missouri.
