Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2014

Well, I received my Associates in Computer Information Science in January 2014. I've had a couple of interviews, but not even in my degree field. Every job I've applied for I got rejected because of my school name, and the reputation it has. It sucks so bad. A person from Career Services called me and ask me have I gotten a job in my field, I said no because my degree is deemed worthless. So I was taking CNA classes, and they had the nerve to attempt to report it like they helped me get into it, I told my teacher don't give them any information. I'm currently back, only for two terms for a higher GPA, and I will be transferring. If you haven't done your internet research, Everest and it's affiliates are under fire for many things.

Degree: Criminal Justice/Safety Studies
Graduation Year: 2015

When I first started with everest university in 2013 my first few terms were great. I had a great academic adviser and there were no issues. As I progressed with each term my courses would be taken away from me in the middle and I would receiving a failing grade since I was unable to finish the course. I am still fighting with the school right now to get the credits that I should receive. I had A's and B's in all of my courses until they were taken away from me. The financial aid representitive was less than helpful. I qualified for the pell grant among other various scholarship opportunities and the funds never made it into my student account to help pay for school. Where did the funding go? That is a question that I don't think I will ever get an answer to. Please watch out with this school if you are interested in enrolling. Make sure you ask every question when you are putting you time, money, and education into the hands of less than credible sources. I have changed schools and now that I have thousands of dollars worth of student loans and nothing to show for it since the credits I earned will not transfer I have double the loans but at least I am headed in the right direction to starting my career.

Degree: Business Administration, Management and Operations, Other
Graduation Year: 2014

Everest University Online may seem like the answer to starting a new career but, its not. Starting out here I thought the world of this school, I was all in. Until I realized that there were no midterms and no final exams for each course. That's when I noticed that they give you courses but don't check to see if you really know what you learned before moving you on to new courses. To me, that was enough to realize that employers may not take this degree serious and also schools that I plan to attend in the future. I have read a ton of reviews where other schools think a degree from Everest is a joke and now I completely understand why. I am simply going off my experience and I would say go to a community college before coming here. Community colleges are cheaper, they have an actual place you can go into if you need assistance with anything instead of being on the phone for hours and yes they do have online classes as well. I so wish I would have done my research before starting here at Everest because now I feel somewhat educated and thousands of dollars in debt. Please go somewhere else it will save you a ton of money. For my degree at Everest I have to pay back $30,000, when i could have went to a community college and paid $13,000 for the same degree. A lot of the classes do not transfer over and you will not get credit for many either. I feel I have given many reasons not to attend Everest Uni. online.

Degree: Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration

I am completely satisfied with my experience at Everest. Since the beginning I have been treated with respect and genuine care. I am very sorry for everyone else that had horrible experiences. My instructors are amazing and give very good feedback to all of my work and the classes are challenging. They are great school to attend if you are military affiliated, they have a wonderful scholarship for military students. You have to make sure that you have a B average to keep the scholarship. My student representative calls me about every 2-3 weeks to make sure that I am comfortable in my classes, to make sure my grades are good, and to ask if I need anything. I appreciate the phone calls because it makes me feel like they really care. I would absolutely recommend this online school to a friend or family member.

Degree: Medical Insurance Specialist/Medical Biller
Graduation Year: 2012

Worst school ever beware they advertised how they care but they don't!! I graduated 2012 and no employer trusts their education I didn't receive any help from their school what so ever. It's like once you graduate they erase you snd no one calls from anyone. I am nearly 40,000 in debt because they frequently increase the tuition yearly! Everest will sell you a dream but don't be foolish. A year later I enrolled in a community colleges and Everest University are non transferable because no accredited school trusts their education. Please beware and do not attend this university! If you are already enrolled my advice would be to find a local college or university near your home and leave Everest ASAP!! You will pay 3 times more at Everest then you will at your local college!!

Degree: Legal Assistant/Paralegal

I am not satisfied with my experience with Everest. There are a lot other colleges where you will pay 1/5 of the tuition and will receive identical or better education. They advertise and sell themselves as a school that "cares", where you can reach your professors and advisors. I am currently an online student and I am having issues with a professor (who does not answer any questions btw, pretty much a teach yourself course). Well, I have literally spent about a total of 5 very valuable hours to try to reach someone on the phone and it has been IMPOSSIBLE. The only time someone will answer is if you press the option for enrollment. That right there just describes Everest in a nutshell.

It seems that everyone has different experiences with Everest. I also noticed that most people who are experiencing problems are the ones attending the for profit school. I attend Everest University Online and I love it! This is the third online environment I have been a part of and it is the best of the three. I began in April of 2013 and am now in my third term. Not to mention, I have been on the Dean's List since my first term. I haven't experienced any problems with student or financial services. My money comes on time like clockwork. The professors are excellent, knowledgeable, and passionate about educating. I have learned a lot since I have been here. All of these negative responses don't bother me and should not bother anyone else. I am not worried about whether they will find work for me. God is my source. He will open the door for me. I'm not depending on Everest. I feel that I am in the right place and at the right time. God placed me here and here will I stay. Why fix something that isn't broken? As for me, I'm not claiming any of the problems these other people are having. It's already done! People just do your best. Complete your readings, discussions, and individual work and you will be successful. Always give your professors quality work. What more can they ask of you?

Degree: Criminal Justice/Police Science

I am currently enrolled in Everest University online for the Criminal Justice Program. Other than sometimes having a hard time getting a hold of student services, I have no problems whatsoever. My classes are great, as well as my instructors, and If i need help, it is available to me immediately. Student services and the financial department has been extremely helpful, like i said, sometimes it is just hard to get a hold of them. I got my books on time, I am getting my laptop on time, and I'm doing great in all of my classes. I honestly do not understand where all these negative reviews are coming from. If you work hard, you will succeed and find a job. Don't rely on just Everest to just find you a job, get up and do it yourself. For the record, no I'm not an Everest employee.  Believe it or not, there on students that are doing well here and have no complaints.

Graduation Year: 2011

Well since my goal is to be a dentist, I guess by having my dental assistant degree I will be able to earn a lot of experience in different aspects of the dental field while I'm attending college and working my way thru dental school. This will open many doors because i will have a big knowledge of my career and i will be able to provide my best service to all my future patients.

Degree: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Technology/Technician

I graduated in June now we are in October. I haven't gotten a call from the school since I graduated. When I went looking for work the gave me a paper with companys to call myself, so much for job placement. The teachers are good but you will be reading more than doing practical work. I recommend you get a list of grads for the program that studied and see how many of them actually got placed. I studdied hvac and maybe the medical field might be better MAYBE!!!
