"Overall I am happy with Florida Atlantic University. They have a diverse faculty with a broad range of experience in my field of study and I feel like I am getting a quality education. I was disappointed with the inability of staff to answer what I considered basic questions about registration and admissions. I finally ended up figuring things out for myself after conflicting answers from different departments. I also felt like the appointment that I set with the Career Development Center was a complete waste of my time. As an older student with an established career and very specific goals, perhaps I was expecting too much, but again, I could not get answers to what I thought were pretty basic questions."

"If you want a general mba, you can easily find classes. Once you are looking to specialize in a field the elective classes are scarce. There are also few classes offered in the morning at the graduate level for those who work evenings and on weekends. There are many helpful teachers that are will help you at school and over the Internet."

"The pros of the program is that it gives me the opportunity to advance my goals with a lot of career support. Faculty and staff are very helpful in guiding you into accomplishing the goals set for individuals. Cons about the programs is the tuition rates as well as the class size. Large number of student. Would prefer a smaller setting which feels more focused on the student in my personal opinion."

"FAU's mental health counseling program is competitive, affordable, and has some top notch faculty members. It's a CACREP certified program, which means that it's more rigorous than others and you are likely to be more marketable coming from such a program. The best thing about this program is that it trains you not just in techniques and theories, but more so how to think like a therapist, and that grants you adaptability. Definitely check it out. I don't think you'll regret it."

"The economy has taken its toll on all universities across the county, this being said, I feel that more funding to FAU would make for better staffing of faculty to ensure courses can be completed in a timely fashion."

"This a great school because of the quality of the teachers and the amount of support given to each student ranging from financial aid to career services. The downside to this school is the housing exspenses. It can be costly living in Boca Raton Fl"

"Pros: Program has evening, Saturday fast track, and online classes for speed of delivery and ease of scheduling, advisors are well-informed and helpful. Cons: Saturday classes are 8 hour days, which can be tiresome; many assignments are done in groups, which can be bad for the overachievers."

"The pros are that FAU is a rapidly growing school with tons of potential and they are good at giving you the tools you need to get to your goals. The con is that our football team isn't the greatest. However, we are improving on that too."

"It is a young institution but is committed the students from expanding degree programs, activities and building collaborations with industry especially in the sciences with Scripps, Max Planck, Torrey Pines and VGTI, among others. Student life is very active for a commuter campus an great strides are being made to provide housing on campus. It is a very diverse campus with a strong multicultural and international studies offices."
