The school is a scam! Instead of them changing the policy and holding the new people who attended after the change accountable, they held the senior class on down. At this point, we're all too far in debt to pull out, not to mention, many schools won't even except the credits. Calling the corporate office is a joke! the owners obviously don't want to hear about the issues because they send a rep that is friends with the administrator. Nothing is solved. There is a student still there who has been harassed by an INSTRUCTOR with proven text messages in an attempt to get her thrown out and she was allowed to stay. Also, another INSTRUCTOR at the same location tried to fight a senior nursing student. The owners obviously just care about the money! Otherwise, how could they send a representative to handle such serious matters. These are not accusations but proven facts! The student is still there because she can't afford to pull out so far in the game. Unreal. Her name is Joyce. The news should get involved so that NO one else has to go through these issues. IT's unfair!!!!!!!!!STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

I would not recommend anybody Fortis on campus. The instructors are real cold hearted. I lasted the first module and wanted an increase on my loan.after I signed for a loan increase they forbid to give me my money.

This school is a scam. The professors are instructed to fail at least one person per quarter. My professor last semester passed everyone in the class. She was a great instructor and all of my classmates including myself passed our exit exams for the class. This professor was fired! The turnover rate with professors is very high. The fast pace of the class is difficult for professors to pickup if they have not done that before and most have not. My cohort started with 30 people in it. We have three months left and there are only 10 of us left. Most of those people are from the cohort ahead of me and have been held back. Your grades in the class don't matter. Your testing percentage is the only thing that lets you move on. Get a back professor one term and you're in trouble. Administration messed up on my financial aid multiple times. I attended the school for over a year and they said they had no paperwork on me. The person in admission didn't send my paperwork in. Six months later they called me in and said the same thing. They cashed my check every month that's for sure. My professor this term refused to meet with me. One class that we only attended 5 times all term, gave us a worksheet and no instruction for 5 hours while we sat there and did a fill-in the blank. Standards and policies change every term. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here.

Some of the teachers at Fortis are great but others are HORRIBLE! Pediatrics course was taught very poorly and the teacher could care less about you education and your future. After talking to administration they seemed to care as much as the teacher did. Spend your $40,00 else where and go to a different school that cares about your education.

Stay away from Fortis Nursing program! Your homework, quizzes, or case studies won't help you if you needed 1 point to pass a class. The passing grade is a 78 for each nursing course and all your exams as well as your overall class average has to be a 78 also. The staff won't offer any help if needed! Beware!

I know from experience. I am a graduate from this school. They do not support their graduates. I have not received a diploma from this college even after graduating. This is supposed to feel like a big accomplishment for me, but somehow, this school has made me feel like a failure. They will not return my phone calls nor am I able to get in contact with anyone about anything. There goes the "support after you graduate" line I was given after signing up. All you get when calling the school is an operator, which transfers you to whoever, then a voice mail. This has been mostly my entire experience; not being able to get in contact with the proper channels when needing to resolve an issue. Throughout the program, there were only a handful of instructors who were actually of any assistance. Not only that, but when getting out there networking with other graduates in my field from better colleges, they had been trained in areas I knew nothing about. When asked a question about a subject in the field, I felt completely embarrassed when I wasn’t able to respond. I feel like such a looser for choosing this college. Something really needs to be done about these diploma mill schools just out there to use students by telling them what they want to hear to sign them on, then providing substandard services and education; all the while laughing their way to the bank. This entire system is failing in the educational department and not a d** thing is being done about it.

Please stay away from this school. First reason, this is a for-profit school which means that the money that all the students pay goes to the private sector who owns the school instead going to the professors' salary and staff in general. Second, THE CREDITS OBTAINED IN THIS SCHOOL WON'T TRANSFER TO ANY OTHER SCHOOL, so if you decide to leave to a different institution be ready to start from the beginning. Third, they keep hiring professors that are too busy to help the student. Not enough time for tutoring if you need it. Fourth, no confidentiality in this school. All the department and professors' offices are in a single room, full of cubicles. Each cubicle is a professor's office or department. If you go to the financial aid department the whole campus will know your financial situation. If you go to the registar department to change your schedule because of any issue in your personal life, the whole campus will now about it. And fifth reason, good employers in the health care system like Baptist and Jackson won't hire you because Stay away from this school if you want to get hired by good employers like Baptist and Jackson Health System, because Fortis College is not accredited.

OMG..Where do I start? Ok lets start with the positive, the president is awesome very cool and down to earth, the enrollment staff are definitely high class scam artists. (but that's their job so I wont blame them....) THE HORRIBLE TEACHERS....It's very obvious that the teachers don't care any about their jobs or students, do 7 1/2 hr classes reading off an overhead sound like teaching? Teachers show up late, constantly answering their phones through class. One professor in particular , the Nursing Anatomy teacher definitely needs to be put under review and fired. Constant cursing and negative remarks make for an un-easy class. Lol and its obvious that most people posting positive comments about Fortis College are employees. I'm so glad I made it through that horrible school.. Oh and dont get me started on the Cost. If you still want to ignore my warnings go ahead, but make sure you look at the charges on your accounts, they're notorious for double and tripple charging you for the same things.

THE ADMISSION STAFF ARE ROBOTS THEY ALL SAY THE EXACT SAME THING. THE ADMISSIONS DIRECTOR IS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. I WAS NOT PREPAREDTO PAY MY APPLICATION FEE AT THE TIME OF MY VISIT AND SHE ASKED ME, "WELL DOESN'T SOMEONE LOVE YOU CALL THEM AND TELL THEM TO PAY IT". ALL THE WHILE SHE WAS EATING SUNFLOWER SEEDS WHILE TALKING TO ME. THAT WAS ENOUGH FOR ME TO WALK OUT THE DOOR. IF SHE WERE NOT IN CHARGE THE ADMISSION REPS MIGHT BE ABLE TO TELL THE TRUTH AND ACTUALLY HELP PEOPLE.
