Degree: Nursing Education
Graduation Year: 2014

I attended Fortis College in Cutler Bay, Florida and its the worst school anyone can attend. The administrative staff like financial aid and student services are great people but the Dean and the majority of the professors are a problem. Back in June 2014 a group took the HESI exit exam which is the last nursing exam one has to take to be able to graduate and the entire group ADN and BSN somehow found the answers and cheated and all scored almost perfect scores. Then came time to take the NCLEX and no one passed until in the past recent months after intense boot camp a little bit less than half passed the NCLEX. Because of this group every one after them has had to suffer and have to endure the hardest HESI exit exams there are. The June 2014 group got Version 1_D and since apparently there are 6 versions to this exam, we were given versions 3 retake 4 and those that didn't passed and had to retake it, on their second try they got version 4 retake 4! like c'mon how in the world you are going to be giving retake exams to students when you haven't even given them the chance to take the initial exam of each version?! This school is a total mess, they are extremely short staffed, they hardly have any clinical sites, up until I finished in September they only had 2 clinical sites and one of them was going to be the last time the school was going to be allowed to send students. On top of it all THEY ARE NOT ACCREDITED so if you decide to transfer to another school guess what? you aren't going to be able to transfer credits and continue your education you are GOING TO HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN!! Please save yourself your money and most importantly time which is what you will never get back.

Degree: Nursing Education
Graduation Year: 2015

Pathetic!! We have had an instructor leave during the semester every quarter. The administration at the Westerville ohio campus blames the students for everything and has totally forgotten that we the students pay their salaries. We teach ourselves the material because the instructors they do have either don't speak English or read off of powerpoints and test on subjects that are not taught. The clinicals consist of the students standing around or making ice cream sundaes for 8 hours. The lab has non working equipment and the instructor has admitted she has never done some of the required skills on a live person.

Degree: Medical Assistant
Graduation Year: 2014

I chose to attend Fortis College in high hopes that receiving certification and my RMA would help me find a career in the health field. After graduating I was extremely disappointed to say the least. The instructors are ok, I would say only one (clinical instructor) was amazing. She was in tune with her class, and showed great interest in her students' success. After our schooling we were to complete a 6 week "externship". The head of the Medical Assistant program who was in charge of that never seemed to be interested in the needs of the students, and just threw the students anywhere for their externship hardly researching the facilities. The office I was in was GHETTO and unprofessional. Mind you we were stuck there for 6 weeks. Every time I tried to find an externship on my own he would NEVER follow up with the facilities so I had no choice. I understand that it is the students job to work hard to find their own employment after the program, however we were fed all of these lies about how amazing career services at the school was. I applied for jobs of my own however, every single "lead" they gave me and interview they sent me on were at run down out of date doctors offices that seemed shady, that only offered minimum wage with no benefits. When I asked them to follow up with the jobs I applied for like I was told, they just made excuses like " Oh I don't have a connect for that office" or "I know I won't be able to get in touch with the employer". If that's the case why are you here? It was almost like they were just trying to reach a quota instead of actually trying to send their students that paid over 16,000 to attend a 9 month training program to solid legit doctors offices and/or hospitals. I just ended up working with the company I was employed with before Fortis. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! Attend another training school!

Degree: Nursing Science
Graduation Year: 2014

If you want a serious opinion and experience you will read this review. This school is a joke and only wants your money and put you in debt. If you decide to attend this school, I guarantee that you will be highly disappointed. The nursing program has a witch for a director of nursing and she is Satan himself. She is rude, uncoof, nasty attitude, has a record of 22 cases of abuse in Michigan and lost her license for 5 yrs., if you don't believe me, look her up. (Edna B. Wilkerson). She is a liar, fake, insensitive, non compassionate and all around the worst don I have ever came across. How can a school allow a person to be over their nursing program with charges of abuse on her record. :-( I am telling you to run and run fast. The school has programs that are not accredited, they have teachers teaching that are not licensed with the State, they do not help, they lie about the programs, they do not communicate, the students are kept in the dark, they have previous and upcoming lawsuits against them. Do your research before going to this school. Don't be fooled or lied to no matter how good it sounds. I strongly advise you to choose another school, you will not regret it in the end.

Degree: Small Business Administration/Management
Graduation Year: 2016

I believe that this school is perfect for someone that wants to major in a business type field. As far as all of the negative reveiws for the nursing program, wouldn't you think medical students should be more hands on? Just my opinion. They have been extremely insightful and are always there to help with whatever I need. I would definately reccomend this school to others. Actually my wife will start very soon. Keep up the good work you guys!

Degree: Medical/Clinical Assistant
Graduation Year: 2015

This school is a scam. It is not what it seems when you first sign up. They are all nice and smiles in the beginning, but then as the semesters go on they treat you like s**t. All they want is money. Financial aid is a joke, some of the teachers are a joke, and the deans, haha. Wow, this school is a waste of time and i would never recommend it to anyone. Try another school. They are not very helpful when it comes to skills, all they do is criticize you, especially the Head Nursr for the Medical Assisting program. They are not as they seem. It's only 3-5 students in every class. Alot of people have left this school because it is a joke. They are very unprofessional and rude. DO NOT GO TO FORTIS COLLEGE IN RAVENNA, OHIO. Go to a different school.

Complete waste of time and money. The degree is useless and no other college except other fake schools will accept it. Most expensive mistake I've ever made.
