The Medical Assistant program was not what I was looking for so I was a little disappointed but I continued through it. I felt I did learn things in my field of work and was given ideas on had to proceed with my career. The teachers and affiliates of the school were very good at answer questions, finding an answer or directing you to someone who can answer the question. I would have like more lab experience to learn better. There could be a better explanation on how the holidays and days missed work but overall the education was great.
I do not ever recommend this school especially for anyone who is interested . I have went through 7 teachers within 4 months before extern . The school does not go by the syllabus . They lie and say credits transfer to other colleges and that you get a associates degree when you graduate . They claim that you will be placed at a hospital for externship but only have 3 sites to help hundreds of students . The school resources are horrible , no library few computers , oh and they over charge students for immunizations ( 772.00) and the books are cheaper than the immunizations. Teachers think that they have to argue to prove a point . This school is just no good . They will eventually be shut down within time .
Attending the Nashville Campus for RN school was the worst decision I have ever made. The tuition is over priced, the education is poor, the staff lacks passion, and each day you wake up wondering if your instructor will show up for your class. I truly never felt as if my success was a priority to the majority of my instructors. Even after graduating, when I thought I would feel some relief, they have delayed me with taking the Nclex exam by failing to inform me in a timely manner that my application had gone missing. I would not recommend this school to anyone, let alone a friend.
This school is a complete scam the teachers SLEEP while students gossip wasting time HVAC isn't a trade that can be taught in a classroom it is a hands on trade and fortis DOESN'T offer that they will tell you everything you want to hear right up until you sign your name and put yourself in the hole for 22k I attended class everyday along with several other and we all left with certificates I know absolutely nothing about HVAC all I know is I have to pay back 22k
I WILL NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO THIS SCHOOL! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO THIS SCHOOL!I WILL NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO THIS SCHOOL! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO THIS SCHOOL! WILL NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO THIS SCHOOL! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO THIS SCHOOL! The people that are in charge of human resources are NOT helping(W. and G.). I finish school in march and I still don't have a job and i'm bilingual. This school is so unorganized and they dont work with you at all. None of the people that work there are doing there job right. They don't care about the night classes at all. I wish I could of done more research on the school before I attended.
This school is a joke! Constantly had teachers leaving in the middle of terms. We were treated as if we were in a military school having to dye our hair and cut it all the time. Grading was very inconsistent and unfairly! No issues were ever resolved. It was overall a nightmare. I will never attend anything else at Fortis Institute!
This 2 year college program is a joke! We had teachers that were never here and teachers who were not knowledgeable of material, but when we got to capstone we are expected to know information in a week that we were never thought and are in danger of not being able to go to cliniclas because of unenthusiastic teachers. Instilling new rules on older students that were heavily affected by one teacher which is not fair. We couldn't mounted her attendance so why are we being held accountable for something we never had. I was extremely vocal at the time this was going on and nothing was done instead I was told to keep quiet about my frustrations. I feel like this school owes me! I'm just so unhappy here. This tuition is to high to not be confident in your school, teachers, and administrators. This school needs to audited from top to bottom. Unsatisfied! Would NEVER refer a single soul here as long as I live. Thinking about possible suing and going to the news to bring the issues to the forefront that are swept under the rug!
Ok so here it is. This school is a joke. They have new teachers left and right so you never know what you are going to get. If you want the SPT program, don't bother, THERE ARE NO TEACHERS HERE THAT KNOW SPT. All the teachers they have teaching SPT are actually scrub techs. Yeah scrub techs that don't know how to do central sterile so they cant teach you the hands on parts. I could show the same surgical instrument to three different teachers and get three different answers. I do not know what their criteria is for hiring these people but it seems to me like they take a van to a near by hospital and tell people to hop in if they want to make 100 bucks. As nice as these people are, their being nice does not do any one any favors. I went for an education and left with student loans. I could have bought the book and studied this at home.
This school is very unprofessional. They do not care about the success of students I spent 35,0000 had 5 months left and then I was dismissed from the program . Due to 3 course failures I failed with a 76.6 %. I was always at the school studying I had a 3.0 when I left. So it not like I wasn't studying they don't prepare students for HESI. Im begging you all save your money and do not attend this college. No my credits won't even transfer to a state college. I attended the psl campus in Forida
I spent 30,000 on a school whose credits did not transfer. My end goal was to become an RN. I have yet to find a school that will accept Fortis Credits so I can continue to my RN degree. I was promised by many staff that their credits were transferable. I had a 3.5 GPA so by no means am I a lazy student trying to make excuses. I am upset I wasted so much money on a degree that won't transfer. I did pass my state board exams on the first attempt. I will say the practice nclex 50 a day were well worth it.
