"I won’t recommend this school for anyone. You can do all your assignments, quizzes and tests on time with good grades but if life happens and you’re unable to pass the Hesi, all your efforts go down the drain. You cannot retake the Hesi which is 20% of your total grade .This is unfair and you can fail with 77.99. Go elsewhere and don’t waste your time and money."

"I don't recommend this school. They will do whatever it takes to get you in the door and get your money. Then they don't wanna answer your questions or if you question why something is happening you get told not to worry about it, it is not your concern. If other students weren't happy with it then they will say something but if only one student is unhappy or complaining then it must be the student."

"STAY AWAY FROM FORTIS!!! On April 2018 they withdrew me from my program i was supposed to graduate on July 2018 they stated that I had not done any work for over 2 weeks which is not true, when i tried reaching out to them to see what can be done they stated nothing, i would have to go through the admission process again, which I wish i was so close to graduating and i agreed to it, a week later they never answered my email, when i call they give me the run around. its 7/31/2018 and i had to enroll in another school in order to finish and my credits from fortis the majority where not transferable."

"Please save yourself and do not attend this school. This is the worst school one of my biggest mistakes ever was to continue going to this school. The teachers are awful and do not know how to teach and could care less about you . During my time here we went through several different new instructors because the last one kept getting fired. Very unprofessional and rude instructors. Even the lead instructor would always say its your money you can do what you want here which meant go ahead and fail its out of your pocket. They do not care about you. It is like going back to high school or middle school they accept any person to attend the school, literally anyone so it was hard to focus with a bunch of reckless immature people who didnt even care to be there. This school is completely focused on your money. Every program is so over priced. And the financial aid lady rushes you and makes you sign a bunch of paperwork so quickly without explaining anything then you get called down during class because you owe 567$ payment that you had no idea about and wasnt even informed. Shes even apart of the whole scam. Everything about this school is awful. I hope they shut down."

"I wish their online program had another way to track attendance than whether or not I post a discussion question. Actually Online schooling in general just needs to be more relaxed here I am full time working mom trying to get my degree and the flexibility I thought I'd get has yet to be seen. I thought that this getting a degree online meant I'd be able to study at my own pace and receive my degree in my own time.Last time I checked it's on my dime too... Sure I have financial aid but I'm paying all that money back as I go. To top it all off some of these classes are a waste come on GD American education & it's greed. All I'm trying to say is can I get what I'm paying for from these darn schools . It's funny cause a good chunk of the world has made EDUCATION FREE we're the only ones who are trying to capitalize off of our youth... Not speaking in general Fortis you and every other college in America are fucking crooks and should all start digging your graves next to Westwood college. If you want an education go to school outside the US. Hell the experience is definitely worth it and you'll probably pay the same amount for it as you would your 1st semester."

"Whoever wrote do your homework before starting a program like this is correct. I went to Fortis on-line to get my bachelor's in business management. I already worked the field for over 30 years without the paper, but times have changed and corporations want them. For the most part the teachers I had really knew their stuff and were very helpful, although I could have taught them as well, they didn't have the application part. Books and real life are definitely two different things. I found that when dealing with Fortis, it is all about the money, not only do they lie, and cheat, they also change grades. If you go here protect yourself, take screen shots often of your grades and credits. They cut me out of class for financial reasons having to do with year past taxes, something stupid, 2 weeks before graduation, that hurt in more than one way. Not to mention they had also changed a grade and insisted I take the class over again, of course for more money. You also need to be aware that one department does not know what the other department is doing, they are not located in the same place. I would not recommend this school to anyone."

"Fortis is approved by the Florida board of nursing if you look on the departments page. It is not accredited. This means that you may sit for the NCLEX and become an RN for the state of Florida, but not nationally. It also means that when it comes time for you to get a BSN, you have to use one of their ''articulated agreement'' schools, which is mostly online as well as fortis is, and they are just as pricey as fortis. If you attempted to go to a community college or accredited college, they will not accept any credits from a non accredited school. Bummer I know. It costs about 45,000 to attend fortis vs a community college for around 13,000. So when it comes to paying student debt, fortis only transfers to those ''articulated agreement schools'' and there is only a handful of them and you have no choice but to attend them to advance your degree. They are a profit school and the schools quality is poor from my experience. If you are willing to pile on the extensive debt and risk the chance of not being able to further your RN license, then you will be state approved at least. I was in It for the long haul for BSN and I didn't think it was a wise decision. My counselor at PSC said he has to be professional with his words but what they are doing is nearly criminal and students tend to be desperate when they find the school so accepting. If you are confused and have questions like I did, Check it all for yourself on your states board of nursing page, you can look up the school and call them to verify. Fortis counselors legally twist their words and make it seem like they don't know about their reputation, go to any accredited local college counselor and they will tell you. I had to argue with the councilor I had at Fortis about their accreditation and she had no problem telling me they were...she said her students told her they checked and they were. Just FYI!"

"I think that Fortis Online is a great college regarding the academics side. They have a lot of great teachers who really seem to to care about helping achieve your goals. They also have a really good academic support team who really try to make sure that you stay focused and reach your full potential. The only department that I feel could really use a lot of improvement and possibly even a whole new staff is the financial aid department. They take forever to respond to you when you leave a message or email if they respond back at all. When they finally respond back they usually tell you just enough to get you to stop calling or emailing. They also take forever to send you the balance of what's left once your tuition and books have been paid. In closing I would recommend Fortis Online as a great school but you have to stay on top of the financial aid department because their services really leave something to be desired."

"I graduated from florist online in Nov 2014. This school definitely has their pro's and con's just like any other school. The thing I loved about this school the most is how supportive the staff are (not so much the instructors but the student advisors and dean's). If I was falling behind for any reason at all they made sure they reached out to me to help me with the issue or to just talk to me about what's been going on in my life. There was a time I was in the process of moving from one city to another & they let me take a few weeks off to get settled into my new place which I really needed because I was extremely overwhelmed. They are very understanding & supportive. The one negative about this school is that I didn't receive any refund checks from my financial aid until about 3 months before I graduated but it was ok to me because I wasn't in school for the money & they paid for my books also which I just sold after I was finished with them. I'm not too sure how much they charge per credit or anything like that I usually don't really get into that. Another negative is that they only go up to an associates degree so once I finished my associates I had to switch schools which I didn't want to do because I love fortis & over the years I got comfortable with the set up of black board. When I Did switch my schools I had no problems with getting my transcripts transferred over. After I graduated I got a lot of support from their career service department also they work really hard to get you a job in your field & they don't stop until you're hired. There were some instructors that I didn't really care for but if I had any issues I first would address them with my instructor & if it didn't get anywhere I'd turn to my student advisor & my dean in my field & they made sure they addressed the issue without taking my side or the instructors side they were really fair & it never seemed to bother them if I called them too much. In my opinion the course definitely set you up for the real world & everything you need to know & learn about in your field which I really liked. The essays to me weren't boring I was always excited to write an essay because they were always interesting & it was always pertaining to something in my field. My overall experience with Fortis online university was great I wouldn't have wanted it any other way I really enjoyed my time with my Fortis family. I would highly recommend this school but keep in my you have to be good with time management not only with this school but any online school I juggled school work & being a single mother & believe me it wasn't easy I didn't just get handed my degree I wanted to give up so many times but I knew that I wanted that degree so I had to do it so make sure you know that you can do it before you start because it's not going to be a cake walk you'll have to work for it. good luck if you have any questions don't hesitate to comment."

"I believe that this school is perfect for someone that wants to major in a business type field. As far as all of the negative reveiws for the nursing program, wouldn't you think medical students should be more hands on? Just my opinion. They have been extremely insightful and are always there to help with whatever I need. I would definately reccomend this school to others. Actually my wife will start very soon. Keep up the good work you guys!"

"The people at the intake are great and very friendly etc, once you have signed up and they get your student loan money the fun begins, 1/2 of the teachers don't care and allow the class room to be an unruly chaotic disaster ( almost akin to a tsunami, students yell ,they cuss and tell each other off at top of lungs ,its ghetto at best) sadly for those of us who want to learn hearing what the teacher has to say is next to imposable. I had a clinical instructor fall asleep and students were laughing and taking pictures of teacher asleep on job. Students openly cheat and teachers read emails and play on phones during test time its twilight zone at best. The dean is nice but I feel he is obvious to the situation and should sit in on more classes and or ask the teacher to leave class every now and then ask us, the people who make his pay check possible what we feel about how we are treated and taught!"

"Stay away from Fortis Nursing program! Your homework, quizzes, or case studies won't help you if you needed 1 point to pass a class. The passing grade is a 78 for each nursing course and all your exams as well as your overall class average has to be a 78 also. The staff won't offer any help if needed! Beware!"

"I know from experience. I am a graduate from this school. They do not support their graduates. I have not received a diploma from this college even after graduating. This is supposed to feel like a big accomplishment for me, but somehow, this school has made me feel like a failure. They will not return my phone calls nor am I able to get in contact with anyone about anything. There goes the "support after you graduate" line I was given after signing up. All you get when calling the school is an operator, which transfers you to whoever, then a voice mail. This has been mostly my entire experience; not being able to get in contact with the proper channels when needing to resolve an issue. Throughout the program, there were only a handful of instructors who were actually of any assistance. Not only that, but when getting out there networking with other graduates in my field from better colleges, they had been trained in areas I knew nothing about. When asked a question about a subject in the field, I felt completely embarrassed when I wasn’t able to respond. I feel like such a looser for choosing this college. Something really needs to be done about these diploma mill schools just out there to use students by telling them what they want to hear to sign them on, then providing substandard services and education; all the while laughing their way to the bank. This entire system is failing in the educational department and not a d** thing is being done about it."

"IT HAS BEEN A TRIP FROM HELL AND BACK TRYING TO GET STARTED. THEY KEPT HAVING ME CHANGE PAPERWORK RE-SEND INFORMATION AND TELL ME THAT WAS IT, BUT CALL BACK DAYS LATER WANTING SOMETHING ELSE. THEY ARE VERY UNORGANIZED AND THEY DO NOT MAKE GOOD WITH MAKING APPOINTMENT TIMES. I SHOULD HAVE STAYED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX BUT I WILL RETURN THERE FOR MY B.A. I WILL NOT GIVE THIS SCHOOL ANOTHER DIME OF ANY MONEY THAT I HAVE TO PAY BACK. I GRADUATE WITH MY ASSOCIATES IN AUG 14 AND I AM DONE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL. THEY TELL YOU WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO HEAR THAN ONCE YOU HAVE GOTTEN YOURSELF INVOLVED ITS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DEMEANOR AND APPROACH TO YOU AND YOUR PERSONAL LIFE. ITS HORRIBLE"
