"Franklin College underwent a total curriculum change to begin in the 2018/2019 academic year and I graduated in 2018, so I can only speak for the old curriculum and the general atmosphere at Franklin. I'll start by saying I did genuinely love my time there. The Creative Writing department underwent a total transformation during my freshman year and at first I didn't understand the changes, but by my senior year the new, more diverse staff offered great courses that addressed student's individual needs and helped me become a better creative writer. The English department is wonderful, the staff there is amazing and helpful, and the professors leave their doors open and welcome and encourage all of their students to meet with them 1:1 to talk about class, papers, projects, education, and life in general. I highly recommend taking advantage of those office hours and building relationships with your professors while there because they're not only wonderful and smart people, but they can offer you a lot of advice, guidance, and references later on. Franklin is a Liberal Arts college and I appreciated that because it gave me the opportunity to take courses in many disciplines which helped round me out as a student and thinker. I probably would have never taken a Philosophy class or a World Music class if the curriculum didn't prompt to choose classes like that, but because I did I learned about philosophical and musical theories I never would have known existed. Franklin also required Undergraduate Research and Internships and many classes attended conferences and presented research which were all great opportunities to learn about your own topic, but also learn from your peers. I had the opportunity to work closely with the Global Education department while I was at Franklin and their dedication to students and global traveling and learning was wonderful. They helped me and many of my classmates and friends travel internationally and take their learning outside of the classroom and on the road. I highly recommend going to their office and speaking with them about travel opportunities ESPECIALLY if finances are the major reason why you think you can't travel abroad because I promise you that they can find you incredible opportunities that you don't know about that could allow you to travel. I would encourage prospective students to go on a campus visit and partake in Franklin's overnight opportunities where prospective students can stay on campus with current students and attend classes in anything they may be interested in studying. It's a great opportunity to experience the college as a student and it'll help you decide if Franklin it the right fit for you!"

"Franklin College just recently launched its Masters of Science in Athletic Training Program in 2016. I am a part of the first cohort of students participating in the program! Franklin has offered me so many experiences and opportunities thus far! I can not wait to see what jobs line up for me once I complete this program! The small private school allows for plenty of student-professor one on one time! The community is so welcoming and it's a great small town highly notable school!"

"Franklin College prepared me for graduate school. The professors work with students to help them reach their goals with day one and continuing well past graduation. I felt more prepared for graduate school classes than most of my cohort. Through the academic rigor associated with classes at Franklin, I was able to be extremely successful taking classes full-time and working full-time throughout my first master's degree."

"I wouldn't change my decision to go to Franklin College for anything in the world. On top of receiving a top-of-the-line education, I still keep in touch with nearly every professor I had, even 5 years later."

"Beautiful setting, location. Great teacher/student ratio and lots of awesome professors. Opportunity to be involved in numerous extracurricular activities. Great preparation for grad school! A bit heavy on the pocket book, but I don't regret my decision to attend and graduate from FC! Killer football program!"
