"Goucher College is an exceptional four-year institution whose mission is to provide educational services to a wide variety of young adults seeking to expand their horizons and prepare for the current job market. Goucher College prides itself not only on having an exceptional staff of educators and mentors, but on encouraging students to leave the campus walls and learn in foreign countries, a goal which is aided by the college's mandatory study abroad requirement. As a Peace Studies major at Goucher College, I found myself constantly challenging and enthralled by my courses, as well as by my peers. The academic work was often collaborative which aided in my feeling as though I was constantly involved in a flourishing community of active learners."

"I transferred to Goucher College after my freshman year. I was very pleased with my college experience at Goucher. It's a great place to be yourself with no worry of judgment. I was a psychology major and had exceptional professors, whom some I still stay in contact with. I was a student athlete, which helped me stay on top of my studies. My professors were always willing to help me outside of class with concepts that I was unsure about. As you declare your major, you will meet others who share your same interests. You will quickly learn that this group will become your biggest support system. They will help you through the challenging times of college. I was incredibly lucky to have found my group in the Psychology department."

"Every teacher I've had at Goucher so far has been supportive and available. The material has been novel, relevant, and suitably challenging. Campus is quiet, but for grad school, that works for me."

"I feel that teachers in this program are really accessible, and understanding. Instructors help students balance school work with their lives. The program is also designed to ensure that no student spends more than a year and half to complete it. All the classes are geared toward facilitating certification. However, the program does not allow much flexibility. Students cannot take an elective in another graduate program, this program being the only one in the school. The program is not also as known as those of the neighboring universities, though of excellent quality."

"The pro's of Goucher graduate program is that the staff goes above and beyond to meet the needs of students. The Con's are that there are not as many classes being offered year round and sometimes you may have to wait a semester or take the class at another college to get the credit."

"There could be more effort made to connect graduate students with services like internships, employment, study abroad, and funding. However, I am very happy that I am attending graduate school here. The faculty are very helpful and I am very pleased to be on the cutting edge of new programs."
