"I thoroughly enjoyed my academic experience at Guilford College. I was able to transfer to this institution and have all the help I needed to succeed and obtain and double major and a minor. The small class size allows for an optimal student teacher relationship and that personalized attention that I needed. They also had excellent resources to help me apply to graduate school."

"In my last four years at Guilford College, I've learned a lot about not only English (my major) or communications and environmental studies (my minors), but also about myself and who I want to be as a person. The professors are very helpful and, because of the small student body, always available to talk to students. Although, as a first-year, I was annoyed that I would have to take lab science and another year of French, but I think now that the curriculum is well-designed to help us explore potential interests outside of our majors and minors. Alternatively, we could be more diverse as a campus, though, for a white school, we are relatively diverse. Campus safety is also not wonderful, since we are an open campus and public safety is not always equipped to handle certain situations. Overall, however, I wouldn't trade my Guilford experience for any other."

"It's a wonderful college for finding yourself and opening your eyes to different lifestyles, cultures and theories of thought. It has the potential to help you solidify who you are and what you believe in. However, it's not necessarily the place to go to get firm, practical advice about the world - like professionalism, investing, budgeting etc."

"You will never forget the people you meet at Guilford College, whether fellow students or the committed, very open staff and faculty. The atmosphere is one of inclusion, the free sharing of ideas, and a strong desire for learning. The campus is beautiful, the buildings are comfortable, and class size is relatively small. One of the best decisions I ever made was transferring to Guilford College."

"Guilford College is full of passionate professors who really take an interest in what you want from your courses. While you might find some subpar classes or professors depending on the offering each semester, overall the educational experience at Guilford College is one of discovering intense passion for your subject and finding others who feel the same. Honor, integrity, and a mutual respect for and love of learning make Guilford a unique gem in the Atlantic South."

"Guilford College is a liberal arts school situated on a beautiful 'green' campus in Greensboro, NC. Class size is small and class discussion is the norm. Professors are called by their first names, adult and traditional students share classes. Guilford is a writing intensive school!"

"Guilford College is a small campus that's big on community. That can be good or bad depending on what kind of experience you're seeking. The classrooms aren't that large and everyone knows or is familiar with one another. You address everyone by their first name, teachers included, and you're likely to develop great bonds with professors, staffs, and so forth. The campus is beautiful; if you love nature, there's plenty of places to relax outside. Guilford is a liberal arts school and they're continuously working on being more diverse and anti-racism. I can't complain too much about financial aid, because there was always the possibility of me owing more than I already do, but I admit, Guilford is very expensive. You're looking at owing at the least $25,000 upon graduation. Each semester it was always something new with financial aid and struggling to get things situated. There's many organizations to get involved with, but there isn't Greek Life, because it is a Quaker institution. There's a student/athlete and traditional/CCE divide, but they're working on dissolving that. For the most part, I recommend Guilford."

"Excellent school for older students returning to college. They have a great CCE department that is always willing to help."
