"School that prides itself on diversity and inclusitivity yet fails to deliver on any of these points. Severely subpar administration is hilariously slow and inept, much like the large majority of the decisions made by them. Do not waste your money on a degree here - anyone who knows the college will laugh at you."

"This school is very power and money hungry. I have gone to this school through Covid and the school has mandated the vaccine, mandated masks on campus, and is now mandating the booster shot. Its 2022 people we are almost out of this pandemic and no schools are mandating things anymore. I would not recommend this school."

"As a student athlete from Hamline University I had a wonderful undergraduate experience. Being a smaller institution, Hamline University provides you with a unique, personal learning experience. I was able to create personal relationships with professors, advisors and peers who were studying similar subjects. Both the professional and personal relationships I formed during my college experience allowed me to grow in ways I couldnt have imagined. My academic advisors helped me achieve great success in being accepted into graduate school to receive my doctorate in Occupational Therapy. This could not have been possible without the support and resources that I received at Hamline University. Hamline is unique in that every student is required to take part in an internship or research. By becoming exposed in real world professional settings, you are better able to apply what you learn in the classroom to your real life experiences. Hamline University is not just another college to receive a degree, they provide you with the necessary resources to succeed in your future."

"For a small school, there are many opportunities of which to take advantage. If the class isn't offered at Hamline, you can simply take classes at other local colleges, often for free! I majored in the sciences, so I was able to do undergraduate research at the University of Minnesota and therefore was able to more competitive when applying to graduate school, but without having to sit through lectures with 500 other students. I met great people there and there was a very significant emphasis on inclusivity and empathy."

"The hard part about this program is that you have a lot to cram into 8 weeks for one course, there is not much time for reflection/digestion of the material. 4 hours is a long time to sit in class. I almost wish it were 3 hours with an extra hour of HW or online discussion. Electives can be limited. Some of the professors are good, and others so-so, and a few are poor instructors. If I had had it to do over again, I might have considered programs that are not so tight in the schedule and offered more time between classed. No matter what though, when you are working FT and trying to do an MA it's going to be challenging."

"Hamline University is great for professionals seeking an MPA or MNM who want professors that know your name and provide you with great contacts. Hamline University is not a research university it is for individuals who want an education that they can immediately begin applying in their career. The professors truly want to see you succeed in your field and will go out of heir way to help you. At Hamline, you are able to easily fit in a masters degree with a full-time job with their eight-week long hybrid classes and night classes. Having only been studying at Hamline a year I was able to get a job in my field and directly apply the concepts I learn in class to real life. I highly recommend Hamline University to any professional seeking an MPA or MNM. You won't be disappointed."

"Hamline University provided me with both broad skills that are applicable to any occupation such as oral communication, analytical questioning, research, and writing. Classes were relatively small, allowing for close relationships with the professors and personal attention. Every class encouraged me to incorporate my own life and educational experiences, consider alternative ideas, collaborate with others, and question what I know. I couldn't have received a better and more personal educational experience elsewhere."

"My experience at Hamline was positive in terms of the quality of teaching in the classes and the organized format of the assignments. It was also typically practical. Some of the standard general education courses were pedantic and not as engaging, but overall my experience was positive and helped prepare me for my profession."

"Don't be fooled, this school boasts of it's wonderful diversity but it silences all dissenting opinion. The administration is unhelpful and the degree is useless. There is no school spirit, no one comes out for events and everyone goes home on weekends. It's also one of the more expensive schools out there, avoid it."

"I have thoroughly enjoyed the MFA in Creative Writing program at Saint Paul's Hamline University. The instructors are talented, well-versed (pun-intended) and very involved in the Twin Cities literary scene. Many serve as mentors to students in addition to their teaching load and personal endeavors. I feel honored to be in their inspired charge."

"Waste of money, teachers don't care, plan doesn't allow you to pick classes that'll actually benefit you."

"This is a cohort-style program where the student takes one class at a time. A pro of this program is that the students can focus on one subject at a time. A con of this program is that the schedule is very rigid and does not have very long vacations."

"I am pursuing a doctorate degree in education at Hamline University. The program is quite rigorous and excellent. However, the cost of obtaining the doctorate degree is over burdening especially when you have to take financial aid to finance your education."

"The course prepares graduates to play in different roles such as being a teacher, a researcher, a scholar, and a learner. It is intellectually challenging and rewarding. The only con is that there is not scholarship to support graduate students specially at the doctorate level. Many institutions of higher learning do have some sort of merit based scholarships to doctorate students especailly those from minorities and students of color. My school completely lacks this kind of support and this sometimes weighs a lot on some of us who are trying to work hard to achieve our dreams."

"Having founded my own Non profit organization called Friends Of the Needy child, I realized I needed more than passion for it to succeed. So I thought long and hard on what I can do to make a bigger impact than already felt. Pros Masters in Non-profit management helps meet the unique need of my organization. Cons The graduate program is expensive."

"Pros: This program is a nice 2 year program that allows full time workers to earn their MBA's in a challenging course but only in class for 4 hours per week. Going through the 2 year program with the same people is a huge benefit as I have made some lifelong friends in the program. Cons: As with any school, some classes are extremely beneficial, some are not. The disadvantage of having a 6 week course for 4 hours each week is that you often only skim the surface of a subject. However, that is to be expected in a program like this. Since you do not have to take any tests to get in, there are sometimes students in your cohort who should not be there for obvious reasons such as a lack of effort or blatant plagiarism. The teachers do a great job ensuring that you feel empowered to take control if any of these people end up in a group with you or could negatively affect your grade."

"Hamline's education program is fabulous for adults. Lots of the professors understand that you are working and pursuing your dream. There is several unique things. I don't know about job support because I haven't graduated yet."

"I did a lot of research prior to applying with Hamline and was aware of the infancy of the program. It seems like they are still struggling through some of their growing pains in terms of program development. They have recently completely revamped their curriculum and extended the program by a semester. Overall, I would recommend people to really evaluate how they're going to derive value out of the program and their personal goals. The networking is great and I feel like that may be one of the greatest assets I'll take away from the program."

"Hamline is great. There is a strong community with activities meet and greets and teacher connection is easy. Classes r good but the campus is just one building."
