I attended Harrisburg Area Community College freshly out of college. I am a Computer Information Systems (CIS) major. I began taking mostly General Education requirements for my 1st and 2nd semester. I am now in my 3rd semester and currently taking classes that pertain to my major Computer Information Systems. Since the age of 14, I have always envisioned a career in the computer industry. I have a great passion working with computers and assisting others in computer related problems. I am currently taking a Networking class (CNT 120) and it is currently one of my favorite classes of my college career. I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful professor, Doug Brown teaching that class. Words cannot describe the joy of waking up and attending CNT 120. Professor Brown has a sincere understanding of the struggles throughout an academic career and ultimately tries his best to make your understanding of Networking as easy as it can be. One wonderful aspect of CNT 120 is the humor. He truly brightens up your day. This class requires a lot of work but truly pays off with the amount of knowledge you obtain from it. With taking any classes, I recommend searching for professor ratings by students at - it gives you a guide on which professor may be right for you. After I graduate with an Associates degree from HACC, I will be transferring to a 4-year college to continue my pursuit for a Bachelors degree in Information Technology.

Degree: Nursing Education
Graduation Year: 2013

The CNA course at HACC was great. My teachers were very knowledgeable and friendly during the classroom period as well as the clinical period. They were glad to answer any questions and to help when needed as well as to let you try things on your own and learn that way. They were understanding and willing to help when emergency situations popped up.
