"Most classes are full of badly organized busy work that does very little to prepare you for actual university. Many professors are lousy. Poor management of many academic departments also seems to drive out good professors. Professors that aren't lousy are also often too busy trying to accommodate students that don't have college-level knowledge to make their classes engaging for the rest of the class. Lack of participation and organization at clubs and campus events makes them not worth your time and very difficult to make friends in. Math classes can be ridiculously difficult compared to other classes and the "math resource center" is only able to help you with basic problems. Counseling center is also awful, the most experienced one which believe was the main/head counselor was very rude and closeminded and the other one I went to just seemed new to the field and unequipped to handle a lot of problems. A lot of crime in surrounding areas makes the A-line bus and even sometimes walking in the surrounding area during the day not safe. This school can be /okay/ as last resort, but if you have another option that you think might be better, it probably will be. I like my 4 year college (and liked my high school) so much more."

"It does not value your effort in studying as much as participating in social events in campus. There are not many good professors. Here is my side story. I have never applied for financial aid, but they have taken away my tuition refund since last quarter. I've been told that it is their mistake, but still haven't received the refund."

"This was a class on Inspection and had numerous breakoffs like how to get a job, how to write a resume, mathematics, etc and it was a 430 hour class, paid for by the MDTA of 1964, and I was the 3rd fo the 9 people who got certified. This was taught very well and I have been an inspector of aircraft parts since my first job at Precision Machine Works in 1955."

"I graduated in 2012 and while I was there, financial aid services were difficult to work with. Half of the staff were rude and lacked customer service skills, even taking into account that working in the financial aid office can be stressful. I can say that the financial aid department was lacking organization. However, there are quality professors there. Most teachers I had the pleasure of learning from cared about my success and personal well-being. If you need someone to speak to about your struggles, the professors would do their best to accommodate you and listen (as long as you communicate your circumstances thoroughly and appropriately). The most important aspect of a college or university are the professors and the quality of teaching and cultivation they provide."
