"I recently completed my Bachelor's degree in Information Technology utilizing the self paced (UPower) learning system at Hodges. This system worked extremely well for me as an adult student trying to balance the hectic life schedule of being a Father, working a full time job, and trying to have some semblance of a life. As a result, the ability to move through some courses where I already had good proficiency from real life skills quickly while taking more time with classes that I needed more experience with worked well. There are two warnings I will give to students considering this path. 1. You must be dedicated and self motivated to finish. There is no teacher staying on top of your work and demanding that you finish by the deadline. If you're self motivated you'll do fine, but if you know you need someone to hold you accountable, you're likely to fall behind. Since I was able to move quickly, I kept my debt level down, and the total cost to finish this degree was only 12,000 dollars which I felt was reasonable. Other students may find that it grows very quickly to a rate more than you expected. 2. You must be able to be a self learner. Some instructors were great, responding to questions within just hours and truly helping you through difficult material quickly. Other instructors would leave emails unanswered for days, and even then only give half answered questions. By the end of my time I generally knew whether I could rely on the instructor for the program to be useful or not. This meant that I had to often times look for help outside the course to master some required course materials. Whether the instructor is helpful or not, you have to prove your mastery. In the end I'd give the school a rating of 3/5 overall. I'm pleased with what I learned, I'm glad I have my degree, and I plan to continue further. For a student like me, I'd recommend Hodges for their Bachelor's degree. For students with different needs, who have less real world experience, or who are seeking higher level degrees I'd recommend you look elsewhere."

"Good learning platform with Blackboard (easy to use & navigate). For the price and self-paced, it isn't bad to just get a degree. Professors are very picky & strict with grading. Lots of errors & typos on quizzes. The biggest con is no live or recorded lectures. Most Computers & Technology majors are very hands on. This school did not provide that. I personally didn't learn much where I can get most information online for free. My advice is to spend the extra money & attend brick & mortar or better online school to get a job. That's how you'll get the most from this degree. Otherwise, finding a job will be tough unless you already have experience under your belt."

"I started classes with Hodges University on the fall 2013 after trying to enroll with at least 3 other online universities. I declined the others because there was always something I didn't totally like about them. I don't have any complaints about the school, finances, professors, etc. I think Hodges is a good university, the staff and professors are friendly and helpful. The finances are well organized, they have schedules for refunds (this is something of interest) so whatever is supposed to be refunded to the student; it will be refunded through Higher One (this can be routed to your personal bank). I do not have to beg anyone for anything. I am part time student and haven't graduated yet, I'm thinking about upgrading my degree to bachelor's but after reading some reviews, I will stay with Hodges. I just wanted to see if there were any other programs with less credits; but seems like Hodges has a very solid legal curriculum already. I wanted to leave a review since Hodges doesn't have any. The only down part is that they don't give military discount to spouses unless the military member goes active but considering other universities tuitions; I think, I can live without the discount. The semesters last 4 months and they offer mini terms, lots of readings and assignments to complete, the final exams are proctored (I hated the idea but it doesn't bother me anymore). I think, complaining about workload is not an option when trying for a career."
