"Hodges University is an excellent place to grow both personally and professionally. Its experienced professors are also working professionals that help you enhance your education and expand your knowledge base every step of the way. The coursework involved with the Johnson School of Business is very challenging, which is why most students fail to meet their high demands. In fact, many students choose to transfer after reaching the upper-level courses due to their challenging nature. The standards are truly high at this school. However, if you are a dedicated student who wants to work hard to succeed both academically and professionally, Hodges University is a great fit for you."

"The accounting and finance programs are academically challenging, but the school has a good reputation in Southwest Florida. The earning potential after obtaining an applicable degree is limitless. Hodges Grads are highly regarded by large corporations, professional firms, and small businesses as well."

"Hodges is a private school, so it is fairly expensive compared to the tuition of public universities. The business programs require a lot of professional writing and involve a rigorous accelerated learning format. So, it's tough, but they prepare you to succeed."

"Hodges for me has been my second home. I started with ESL classes and that program is awesome. I am getting better little by little in English but, I am still learning because languages take time. I was afraid to get in a program because I though it would not be easy for me but, it was not difficulty.Hodges has gave me the tools to move forward in my future. I am currently enrolled in Accounting and this my second year. Thank you Hodges."

"I recently completed my Bachelor's degree in Information Technology utilizing the self paced (UPower) learning system at Hodges. This system worked extremely well for me as an adult student trying to balance the hectic life schedule of being a Father, working a full time job, and trying to have some semblance of a life. As a result, the ability to move through some courses where I already had good proficiency from real life skills quickly while taking more time with classes that I needed more experience with worked well. There are two warnings I will give to students considering this path. 1. You must be dedicated and self motivated to finish. There is no teacher staying on top of your work and demanding that you finish by the deadline. If you're self motivated you'll do fine, but if you know you need someone to hold you accountable, you're likely to fall behind. Since I was able to move quickly, I kept my debt level down, and the total cost to finish this degree was only 12,000 dollars which I felt was reasonable. Other students may find that it grows very quickly to a rate more than you expected. 2. You must be able to be a self learner. Some instructors were great, responding to questions within just hours and truly helping you through difficult material quickly. Other instructors would leave emails unanswered for days, and even then only give half answered questions. By the end of my time I generally knew whether I could rely on the instructor for the program to be useful or not. This meant that I had to often times look for help outside the course to master some required course materials. Whether the instructor is helpful or not, you have to prove your mastery. In the end I'd give the school a rating of 3/5 overall. I'm pleased with what I learned, I'm glad I have my degree, and I plan to continue further. For a student like me, I'd recommend Hodges for their Bachelor's degree. For students with different needs, who have less real world experience, or who are seeking higher level degrees I'd recommend you look elsewhere."

"This school is a scam. Go to FSW or FGCU for a fraction of the price! I owe them 40k for an associate degree that I could have gotten for 6k. They suckered me and NEVER told me the real price of their services. I was young and naive, please ask lots of questions and ask for the cost up front! Hodges is not your only choice. I am now in my thirties taking online classes at Fsw and it's so much better than Hodges."

"I was able to attend their hybrid program that allowed students to attend classes, typically after the work day at a satellite campus. For this reason, I was able to continue working full time. It was difficult to juggle the demands of both my career and school, but I was able to graduate on time and received a promotion within my job shortly after I graduated. The professor was good, but sometimes lacked insight into the current work culture. Overall I was happy with my decision to go to Hodges, I was able to graduate with a bachelors without moving elsewhere. The coursework was somewhat challenging, although I would have liked to be more challenged. The online format for some classes was easy to follow and did not have many glitches."

"I was so excited to go back to school (after 14 years) to finish my accounting degree. First semester went well, then they changed their curriculum to accelerated learning which really translates to rush you through the most complex of courses in 4 weeks. They reduced the class credits to 3 (from 4) so to be full time, you had to take 4 classes in a semester...seemed okay since we were only taking one class at a time. Then I took Intro to Federal Income Tax...we met once a week (first week was missed due to a holiday) and had to do one full chapter every other day with quizzes due on Sunday. I loved the material and the professor but even having strong interest in the topic did not make it feasible to cram 12 chapters of tax history and equations in 4 weeks with any type of real proficiency. I spoke to my course advisor and was essentially made to feel like I was lacking in devotion. Like many others, I have a family (kids, husband, dogs, the works) and I did what I could to carve out the the required/recommended 4 hours a day to try and keep up. I AM devoted to my education but very few people who attend Hodges are in the position to drop all life to pass a course. Just to PASS the course, mind you...no time to actually take anything away from the education. News flash Hodges...some of this course material is actually necessary for the careers were in or going into. Im sitting back to see if they either A) revert back to sanity and teach again or B) work out the kinks to make this a feasible learning style for the average brain. Aside from alllll that, loved the campus and the atmosphere. Everything I was looking for in a college in my 30s...feeling a little cheated with my last course so well see what happens. Good luck to you all!"

"I was in my second semester at Hodges when they cut the already too short 7 week courses to 4 weeks. I'm a student with a disability that already struggles. 4 weeks will not work and my doctor has said that 4 week courses is not healthy. This combined with the removal of my tuition discount (and increase in tuition) is forcing me to transfer to another school. This makes me sad because I really liked my professors and classmates."

"This is an advice for future students considering Hodges University as their place to learn and receive an education, please choose another school or transfer if you already started, A few semesters ago I meet some Senior students and I was surprised they were not excited for their upcoming graduation but rather concern because the huge amount of debt had made almost impossible for them to get enough money to pay for the final courses and graduate. I was rather skeptical thinking all high education is expensive; however, the recently knews announced stating that Hodges will skyrocket their prices even more and shrink the term of the already too short courses made me reconsider the whole purpose of going to school.I am full time student and a full time worker, I am also an honor student and I always try to focus on my goal which is getting my Degree and start making a difference as a professional out there and every student have a dream to be successful on their career path and get to that Graduation Day but what happen when your institution goals is not the quality of your learning experience but to drawn you in debt.Saddly, Hodges actions are everyday pulling them away from their mission and in fact a comparison between Hodges and the FIU in one year there is a 17,000 dollar difference for less education quality. The mini terms were already a failure in which too much information was throw at the students in less than six weeks, now they create the four weeks terms that make things even worse. So my fellow students, I know you dont want to hang on the wall a plain certification and been unable to find your dream job because lack of the skills and knowledge you were paying to received at school and been stuck on a debt at the same condition you were before taking all those empty rushed classes; I know you want to learn and take your University years to enjoy of discovering new things about the world and earning that knowledge with the effort and honor that take people far in life towards their passion that is why I will advice you to do more research and choice wisely to realize what matters the most and have a school working to support you and guide you which is the oppose to Hodges University."

"I did English as a Second Language at Hodges University. N.R. was my Admission Counselor, far from helping me she just did care about the money, they manipulated so you put in your application this information that you could get help from the government, but at the end they are the ones getting richer. Education quality is poor, expensive, low attention to the students."

"Good learning platform with Blackboard (easy to use & navigate). For the price and self-paced, it isn't bad to just get a degree. Professors are very picky & strict with grading. Lots of errors & typos on quizzes. The biggest con is no live or recorded lectures. Most Computers & Technology majors are very hands on. This school did not provide that. I personally didn't learn much where I can get most information online for free. My advice is to spend the extra money & attend brick & mortar or better online school to get a job. That's how you'll get the most from this degree. Otherwise, finding a job will be tough unless you already have experience under your belt."

"I just started. I was under the understanding this was an actual school not an online school. I can read a book and learn as much of these classes as I can doing them online. I am looking for a school now that has in class learning. My learning style does not benefit from just reading the stuff. Staff isn't really that proactive in getting things done like Fafsa. First day I asked for help with Fafsa the staff simply said that I have to do it on my own. No surprise I didn't qualify for Fafsa because of an error in my taxes. It would of been nice to get a little help with that. I also had to take the same class 3 times because they didn't even want to take any of my transcripts from my other colleges, I was army for a very long time so I have classes from all different schools. I am going to give this school 2 stars for people like me that don't want to do online classes. 3 stars for those of you that are online compatible."

"I obtained my Bachelors degree in 2010 from Hodges University. I was a full-time working single mother and beyond nervous but the admissions department put any worry I had to rest. The course work and expectations were laid out clearly and the professors were always more than willing to help. Hodges left a lasting impression on me and I have decided to return to their graduate program. My interest however has changed and I am transitioning out of business and into Mental Health Counseling. The fear of returning to school yet again as a full-time working single mother to pursue a completely different focus of study was nerve-racking as could be, but Hodges University and its amazing staff showed up for me once again, making the experience a comfortable one. Admissions answered any questions I had and both professors I interviewed with made sure that I knew their door was always open, even though I was only in interview stage. Thats when I knew Hodges was the University for me once again."

"Classes are not offered every semester which puts students behind, not enough professor to choose from. In order to get register, everybody is so helpful but once inside the problems start. Also way to price for the education you get. Also terms are also seven weeks and you don't even learn all the material that is part of the syllabus."

"I have attended Heritage University, Allied American University (online only), Campbell University (Great school), and now Hodges University (Blended). This has been due to my military and government civilian career. I have attended both online and both on-campus locations (Naples & Ft. Myers). The modern university has amazing faculty& staff, great amenities and is extremely modernized and high tech. The curriculum is not extremely challenging as the professors give you all the tools you need to succeed. That said, the homework is a bit much. I noticed it is common practice (both online and on-campus) that the professors give entirely too much coursework to take home when compared to my other schools I have attended in the past. The local area is in beautiful southwest Florida (choose the smaller Naples campus). Overall, the school is great for all ages from fresh out of high school to those who are older. This school is a great option for all."

"I have received two degrees from Hodges University. Both were challenging, affordable and prepared me for the professional environment adequately. The Hodges University staff are helpful at every level, and the faculty is knowledgable and genuinely concerned about student welfare and education outcome. The school has bronze standard accreditation, and lacks many of the industry professional specific accreditation and certification needed to compete with other private institutions. The management claims to be working on obtaining said certification, but after nearly 4 years of association with the university, I have seen no real progress or change. If you are a prospective online student, you may find better value elsewhere, at schools that can offer professional certification bundled with your degree of choice. Hodges is a good school, trying to become a great University. They have awesome faculty and staff, but need real leadership to transform into an excellent value... Something their management talks a lot about, but has consistently failed to produce."

"I started classes with Hodges University on the fall 2013 after trying to enroll with at least 3 other online universities. I declined the others because there was always something I didn't totally like about them. I don't have any complaints about the school, finances, professors, etc. I think Hodges is a good university, the staff and professors are friendly and helpful. The finances are well organized, they have schedules for refunds (this is something of interest) so whatever is supposed to be refunded to the student; it will be refunded through Higher One (this can be routed to your personal bank). I do not have to beg anyone for anything. I am part time student and haven't graduated yet, I'm thinking about upgrading my degree to bachelor's but after reading some reviews, I will stay with Hodges. I just wanted to see if there were any other programs with less credits; but seems like Hodges has a very solid legal curriculum already. I wanted to leave a review since Hodges doesn't have any. The only down part is that they don't give military discount to spouses unless the military member goes active but considering other universities tuitions; I think, I can live without the discount. The semesters last 4 months and they offer mini terms, lots of readings and assignments to complete, the final exams are proctored (I hated the idea but it doesn't bother me anymore). I think, complaining about workload is not an option when trying for a career."
