"WHILE I LOVE MY CHOICE OF SCHOOL IN MY EFFORTS TO FORWARD MY EDUCATION, THE RATE OF TUITION IS NOT COMPARABLE. I AM CURRENTLY ENTERING INTO MY LAST YEAR AND I NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN ORDER TO COMPLETE MY DEGREE. THE FACULTY AND STAFF AT THE DIVINITY SCHOOL ARE PERSONABLE, FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY ARE ALWAYS WILLING AND AVAILABLE TO PROVIDED PROMPT AND DEPENDABLE ASSISTANCE TO THE STUDENT."

"The internet is very frustrating sometimes, and sometimes getting a hold of the professors. However, the program is great and I would not change my decision. Wish I could have gotten more financial help though."

"Howard is a very good program. The only problem is that the program is very expensive and my problem requires much work"

"Howard University has a good graduate program provided that you like the research topic of the professors. The only thing is that sometimes the administration is slow with dispersing funding."

"Admittedly, Howard University was my second choice when I was applying to graduate school. My first choice school was closer to home and was my undergraduate alma mater. However, I didn't make the cut and enrolled into Howard instead. It turned out for the best. There is such an earnest and genuine support for students by the faculty. I can tell our professors really care about our success and our research interests. Among students, there is camaraderie and encouragement with a healthy respect for diverse thought and an intolerance for malicious instigation. Career Services offers several resume building and leadership workshops monthly and faculty help to network students during convention. They are especially insistent on finding available funding to support our education. DC has great access to convenient public transportation and is home to a plethora of museums and culturally diverse restaurants in the surrounding area. Parking is a nightmare, however, both on and off campus. I feel safe travelling around campus, though of course one should exercise extra caution in certain areas in the larger neighborhood at night. Housing is a bit more problematic. Good housing in DC at reasonable prices is difficult to come by. On campus housing for grad students, though satisfactory and convenient, is overpriced. Probably Howard's biggest weakness is its outdated technology and administrative disorganization. Though I do not believe this compromises the quality of my education, it could make dissemination of some information easier. Administrative staff are friendly and patient, so in spite of the difficulties I have had with a few of their offices, they will work until the problem is resolved. Overall, I feel things have worked out in my favor. It is only my first year, but I'm confident in my education at Howard University."
