Degree: Business Administration

I started IU in 2013 and will complete my BA in December, 2016. I can honestly say this has been the best experience. I have learned a great deal about the business world. The instructions and the administrative staff work with you and are there to help you stay on track. With each mod/class I took, I found the information useful in my current job and in my personal life.

I am currently attending this University and have had nothing but a great experience. I the education and the system that they provide it to you with is great. Every new class the information is set out before you and you can see what needs to be completed, Instructors are available for each class almost 24 hours a day, they have a great help system and I have been provided with every contact number and email if I need further help. Extremely happy Independence University and after attending for... Read More

I really appreciate the staff that worked with me to get into the school! Very friendly and willing to help at a moments notice! Very detailed degree program that will get you ready for the rest of your life! Instructors are very knowledgeable and they give very good advice on what to do when you get out! Also my academic advisor was always trying to keep in touch to see how I was doing, they don't get you in the school and leave you out to dry.

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go anywhere near this 'University' I have had nothing but trouble EVERY TIME I have dealt with them. NOW, I am going into default on Federal loans that they specifically told me, in more than 1 way, to not only disregard, but to ignore. When I FINALLY get a human to respond to me, I have less than 1 month to get on some sort of track before my credit is shredded! The icky-sweet, condescending voice just kept on assuring me that I was free & clear with THEM financially. I... Read More

I graduated from Independence University in 2015 I would recommend the school only if you currently work in the field you are trying to get your degree and it's hard to teach yourself respiratory I luckily worked around respiratory therapist they were able to help me on a daily basis if you have this kind of support system this is a wonderful way to get your degree without having to work part-time because you're able to do your classes around your work schedule I was able to work full-time and still... Degree: Healthcare Administration

I am currently attending IU for healthcare management. The instructors are great and always willing to help. If a problem occurs, let them know and they'll get it fixed as soon as they can. 1 thing I dislike about this college is, you get grants etc and they apply all the left over money toward future stuff. If money is left over, you should be able to get what's left over to help with bills etc. I'm not lazy by all means but if I am gonna pay this money back when I graduate, let me have a choice.... I have been attend IU since September 2014. I have never had a major issue and what problems I have had have been resolved immediately. The instructors are professional, my AD has been there for me when I needed him. Ignore all the drop outs complaining, they want everything handed to them. With IU you have to work for it and it is hard work. My 3.91 GPA didn't come by luck, it's come by work. The school gives you lots of tutor options and the instructors have always been there for extra guidance,... Read More

I would like to recommend this school for you hard working people who feel you don't have time. I'm a testimony of that yes you do ! Yes you can. Yes, there are times when it get hard, but success comes with a lot of turmoil. You should not give up. With this school I feel that I can do my work and work full time and take care of myself.

I started school at Independence University in October of 2015. I was 17 years old at the time and recently turned 18 of May 13, 2016. This college is actually pretty great. I have learned so much. The instructors are great and always help you when you need it. I will have my degree in May of 2017. The classes have actually excited me a lot to go into my career field.

Let me start by saying that I also received my Associate Degree in Graphic Arts in 2013 from IU, took a year or so off, and now I'm going full force for my Bachelors in Graphic Arts/Information Design, and I expect to graduate in Jan 2017. I would also like to add that I am a lifelong learner, having been in school before now. My point is that I've experienced other online schools and none of them come to close to the positive experience I've had at IU. Yes, the work is hard at times. It does require... Read More

I started attending Independence University in January 2016. I am now finishing my first week of my 5th mod. I love this school. I received my tablet quickly. I did run into some problems with it and had to contact IT Support. I found they are MUCH easier to contact through the live chat. That is instantly where as you have to wait for a call back by phone. I honestly haven't tried the email option since live chat worked. Anyways, I had to send my tablet in for repairs. They pay for the shipping... Read More

I started at this school in October 2015, and so far I love it. It is hard work, but so is any college you go to. The instructors and school staff are very helpful. They are constantly there to help; which is great because there is a lot of work to do each week. I think it's a great school.

Would NOT recommend. They told me that I pretty much would only have to pay the minimum for school (about 6,000). They hiked the price to 11,000. Here's the problem: I tried to drop when the teachers stopped assisting me about 4 months in. They completely ignored me and made me stay in school for 7 months afterwards. By the time they dropped me, I had a 1.67 and now I am in $11,000 debt. Not only that, they say they are accredited but other schools say otherwise. I haven't been able to pay due to... Read More

I would not recommend this school at all. Especially if your going for science degrees. When this college said it was accredited in Respiratory Therapy classes, I thought I was able to transfer them to a nearby college. Unfortunately none of the colleges near by my home, accepts the transcript from the classes I took for nine months. Now I am paying off a student loan that never even got a degree for. So please be aware when colleges say it's accredited, it only means that if you finish through them... Read More

First time going back to school since I was in high school many years ago. Overall I am finding the school to be pretty good. I have only taken a few courses, some required me to ask a lot of questions to figure out what exactly what the course instructors wanted as far as assignments go. I have to admit the courses are requiring a lot more attention than I thought, but if you plan 2-3 hours a day for each course, and manage your time you should be good. I am also finding that a lot of the courses... Read More

I started March 2015. And graduate October 2016. First I have to say the instructors are amazing they help you every step of the way. Financial aid on the other hand can be better. Thankfully I've only had one issue and they weren't too helpful about it. I see many people believe that the laptop provided is free. WRONG. It clearly states in your enrollment paper work that it is only a gift when you graduate if you don't the laptop is to be returned in 30 days or you will be Charged. Other than that... Read More

Independence University is better than any college I have seen for offering student support. If you want to go to a college that sends you on your merry way without giving you any guidance, choose another university. But if you are like me and you need help and like guidance throughout your whole degree, go here. I can tell they care and they want me to be successful. Plus I got a promotion once I started school here.

Please. I do not recommend this school to anyone. There are better options out there. The IT support for students is terrible. Took a week to respond back, meanwhile I'm missing assignments. Was "false started" and charged for the semester. I withdrew from this school because I was not treated like a human being. This school is currently being sued for unethical practices. I'm am currently attending Independence University. I began my education in July 2015 and so far it has been going good. If you choose to attend this university beware you will need to focus and study for each and every class.
