"IWU does not help students prepare for the future or grow their faith. Upon graduation IWU basically washes its hands of its students whereas many other universities help their students find jobs. I recommend a school that helps students find a job after graduation. I wanted to transfer away from IWU after my first semester and one of my biggest regrets in life is not listening to my gut and going to another school in the first place or at least transferring after my first semester. I truly believe that having a different college experience would have set me up for life much better than my experience at IWU. I cannot in my right mind recommend IWU to anyone. Yes, there were a couple good professors, but unfortunately the couple good do not outweigh the many bad ones or the lack of helping students prepare for the future and find jobs after graduation. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere."

"Overall my experience was amazing. The school is affordable, it catered to me by allowing me to take courses online. The school also has an alternative to doing internships because as a single parent finding time is already hard enough. The school allowed me to study and incorporate my faith into my skills and learning. It was a great experience."

"This university has the academic prestige of a middle school. If you want to "continue" your education instead of staying stagnant, I suggest you look elsewhere. The community is in an echo-chamber; you are required to go to mandatory "chapel" sessions three times a week which are politically fueled and created to lead the student body into one singular way of thinking. The community is fueled by hatred of minorities and diversity. There have been many hate crimes on campus directed at minorities which have NOT been addressed by the administration. You are not allowed to BE A PART OF THE LGBTQ+ (you literally have to sign away that you won't partake in homosexuality), you are not allowed to drink, smoke, stay out past curfew (what are we, 11?), you cannot have the opposite sex in your dorm unless you are being physically watched, and there is a dress code. The food is limited and unhealthy (no vegetarian or vegan), and the University actively hurts the surrounding area. Avoid."

"Indiana Wesleyan University was a caring, nurturing environment. It was a small school, which made it easier to get to know the professors. The professors seemed to enjoy teaching and showed genuine care and concern for their students. While there wasn't as much to do at Indiana Wesleyan University as there was to do at other school, there was still an active social scene."

"I loved my experience in the social work program at Indiana Wesleyan University. I went into college not knowing what I wanted to major in, but the faculty in the Life Calling and Leadership office did an incredible job of helping me identify my strengths and passions in order to find the degree that was right for me. The social work program is full of great professors who are knowledgable about their field and who truly care about their students. I would choose to attend Indiana Wesleyan University again in a heartbeat."

"Indiana Wesleyan University is a private institution that is Christ-centered with the best teachers I have ever received an education under. I highly recommend this school for any degree, but especially Ministry! They are big into nursing and business and a host of other degrees. Its a beautiful campus with amazing food and great students and faculty on campus!"

"The professors really cared about me even though I didn't think they did In prior reviews. One very well may have saved my life. I had galbadder desease and they thought I was my sister. Dr l very well may have saved my life . She set up an appointment with her family doctor. I may have died without her help. She was very blunt And told me I should get help when nobody else Told me to and I actually ended up hospitalized involuntarily. I could've ended up with criminal charges but she cared to say something before anybody else did. I will never forget that. Mr. f told me to talk to Dr. L and I was still afraid to because of what they did to my sister. I will never forget the both of them and I'm sorry about what I said in prior reviews. I'm sorry for disappointing them. I was dilusional but that's not an excuse. I will never forget how they cared. I was just too scared to open up"

"The Christian lifestyle is advertised here, but not practiced. A lot of racism & bigotry, everyone is NOT treated the same, if you're not white, be ready to defend & forgive a lot of people. The staff is nice, but not very bright. Students are very self centered."

"This school was somewhat academically challenging. There was a strong traditional Christian influence there. The diversity was lacking. There weren't many people on campus who supported students of color."

"I have nothing but great things to say about the IWU RN-BSN cohort program for adult learners! The same 12 nurses went through the entire program together. We learned a lot. The faculty members were outstanding. I would recommend this program to everybody! We had plenty of support. We worked hard and grew as nurses and as people!"

"This university is a wonderful school for anyone who is interested in living in a Christian community. Minority and international students should be aware, however, that they will not necessarily be well-integrated into campus life without a great deal of effort and endurance on their part."

"I like the small intimate feel and culture of the school. It was a safe environment where I was able to learn, grow and develop into an adult. Athletics were a great experience and a huge part of my college life at this university."

"A warm and welcoming campus offering a well-rounded liberal arts education. This University has begun to broaden itself past its strictly conservative roots to become a more enlightened environment."
