"They refused to continue my education because of an “error” in my parents marriage reports which cannot be fixed. I was eventually removed just because of an issue with my parents marriage papers while filing for student loans. My major was nursing. Overall, the instructors have provided exceptional work, however I have had some strong deplorable encounters with some teachers that were completely unnecessary, though it can be a great college to attend if you are looking for a strong education here."

"This was the worst junior college Ive ever attended! I wouldnt recommend this place due to the lack of instructing from the teachers! You are better off researching another place in Iowa. The school has a poor business office and poor financial aide personnel. Just a poor experience!"

"Iowa Central is a great college to attend online and they do make one work for their grade. My passing grades came from hard work and dedication to the program. A person has to want to make it work, not expect a free degree without working for it. The instructors were extremely friendly and helpful most of the time. Iowa Central's financial aid office gave direct answers and was helpful when their was a question regarding student loans. I am proud that I finished with Iowa Central and glad to be a Triton alumunus."

"Iowa Central is a great school and as everyone is stating they don't just hand out passing grades , you have to work for your score. The instructors are very helpful and encouraging, they care about your education unlike other schools. My classes are somewhat challenging but I strive everyday because i know in the end its gonna pay off. I'm thanking ICCC now and when I graduate for helping me make my future brighter."

"Please don't go to this school. I have been to over 3 schools in my college career and this is BY FAR the worst. The campus itself is very nice. In fact if I had to give it a grade i would give it an A or B. On campus living I've heard is pretty bad though, as is the food. If you are going to come here living at home with your parents and going to in-person classes is the way to go. The in-person classes are actually ok. I felt like professors try to do a good job of teaching the material and are pretty understanding. They aren't the best quality teachers, but its a community college so thats understandable. Online courses are a different story entirely. They are honestly a complete joke. Have you ever wanted to pay $400 dollars for a course so you could teach yourself something? Me either, but thats exactly what you get with this. Most online professors are awful at getting back to you and are rarely helpful. Also, if you run into a problem during an online course (death of a family member, lost your job, had to move, etc.) don't expect any help from these people. They have NO formal system for extenuating circumstances and the person who needs to accept any grade/refund decisions is the dean of online students, Mr. Martin. He is the worst kind of person you will ever deal with. My fiance and I both ran into a rather personal and serious matter that prevented us from completing one course at Iowa Central. He wouldn't even listen to what we had to say when we tried to set up a meeting with him... as in he refused to even meet with us. So much for caring about students. In all seriousness, just go to a different school. You can get a MUCH BETTER atmosphere and academic experience for cheaper at Kirkwood. Kirkwood also CARES about its students and doesn't just say it to save face like Iowa Central does. They are great when they are trying to recruit you but once you sign over your check to them you become just a number. You owe yourself better than that for the kind of money you have to spend on college."

"While I can appreciate the total online experience of earning a degree, there was more than one occassion where I personally had more experience in a subject than the instructor had. When a medical assistant is teaching health care administration classes, there is a problem. The financial aid department failed to answer several of my concerns and I wound up paying $4500 more than I was told the degree would cost me. Most of my credits do not transfer to state colleges, which is a huge cost and time concern if you plan on getting an undergraduate degree later."

"I would like to start off by saying this has been an amazing experience for me. I wish I would have known about this school before I enrolled in University of Phoenix. I would have saved myself from wasting money & my valuable time. Needless to say, I would highly recommend this school to anyone that is looking for a good school & where you won't get looked down on when you apply for jobs and other schools. This school is not passing out A's to anyone, you have to put in hard work to get a good grade. In my last set of classes they changed all text books to e-books which I think is great. I am now in the process of looking for another school, but I am proud to let other schools know that I graduated from a community college and my school ranked in the top 10 schools list. When talking to my adviser or financial aid worker they were always professional and got back to me in a timely manner. I would have someone call me every week to see how class is going etc.. Bottom line is that I had a great experience a lot of my classes are transferable to top Universities. It's hard to find a (no-profit)community college that has a full degree online."

"I loved it, I certainly loved it! I wake up each morning feeling proud of what I have accomplished. I studied to receive a degree in human services and then became undecided in what I wanted to do. I had an option to receive a degree in general studies instead. Now about the college courses. If you experience difficulties in class, the instructors work with you until the material has been learned. If you have issues with financial aide, the workers in that department are there to assist you and they help you tally every nickle. I was blown away by the campus bookstore employee who took my name and number, did research on a hard to find textbook and called me back with the information. That does not occur often. Now, about the courses. The courses are not easy, for goodness sakes, it's college! There is no skating on thin ice at ICCC. The instructors do not cut corners or simply pass you just because. You have to produce satisfactory work to make the grade. If you do not understand the material being taught, there are tutors to guide you as well as the instructors. Studying for my degree at ICCC was similar to a great adventure. They have different forms of media to aide the students in learning the objectives that are being taught. In addition to that, the instructors are professionals, many of whom received their degree(s) at ICCC continued their learning at a partnering university and came back to ICCC as professionals. If it seems as though I am bragging, I probably am, however; I would not change a word. Although I am now studying at the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, I rate the instructors, the course work, supporting staff and the student population to that of Iowa Central Community College. Guess who comes up as the exceptional winner? If you said ICCC, you are correct!!"

"I had a great experience at Iowa Central Online! I chose Iowa Central because it is LESS expensive than many other schools at $305/credit hour, the school is respected because it is a Community College, not a corporation, and because the courses don't require group projects. I have a busy schedule and felt coordinating with 3 other classmates to complete group projects would be too much of a hassle. The admissions, FA, and Student Services staff were all wonderful! I am now moving on to complete my Bachelors degree. I would highly recommend Iowa Central!"

"After hours of research on programs offered online by different schools I enrolled with Iowa Central CC. I attended a great school in Michigan GVSU, and circumstances had prevented me from continuing traditionally on a campus. I was looking for a school with the same quality and respect that GVSU offers which was very hard to find in online schools! I had to deal with many schools trying to push me in the wrong direction because they were only concerned about admitting me as a student. Iowa was completely different, they were concerned about if the school was going to be the best fit for me. They wanted me to get the most out of my education. They offered true guidance in a very important decision!I found the very things that were important to me offered at Iowa, Academics, support, and affordability. The tuition has been the lowest out of any and so far my class has been very challenging and rewarding! Most all of my credits I took from my other college transferred into the program which was unheard of at any other college. GVSU is known very well for their student support, small class size at a big university 20,000+ students, and helpful and friendly staff and I found all of that at Iowa and am super pleased with it! I highly recommend attending Iowa Central! I am proud to be a Triton!!I highly recommend this school to everyone!"

"I would like to inform you of some great new related to the online CNT program. I recently applied for a technical services position with Dell Computer Corporation and in part I was offered a position based on my participating in this program. While this is an entry level position and I do not think this is the position I will be in long term, it is a beginning. Thanks very much,CNT Student"

"I took the associates of applied science in computer networking (online)and graduated. It was told to me it would be harder than in classroom and it was, but well worth it. A lot of the time i thought they layed to much on you as far as assignments when its suppose to be for the working person, but i got through it. Teachers are great, and i think you do learn more this way as you have to learn to deal with more of the setting computer stuff up because you are online so a lot of stuff you have to set your computer up to do, as opposed to just setting in a classroom. It was a great experience and i wouln't of done it anywhere else, all the other places i checked into were only worried about my money, one person/counselor even said when i asked her how hard the math was "heck you can cheat on it or have someone do it for you" i knew then i was not going to that college.Anyways Iowa Central Online...no where better, its number one in my book!!"

"I was looking for an online college, and I was dealing with some unprofessional people. I talked to people from CTU(Colorado Technical University Online), AIU, Florida Tech Online. All the Advisors I talked to from those schools were not professional. All they wanted was to get me to register to their school. Then I found Iowa Central, wow. That is all I have to say. The Advisor I spoke to was very knowledgeable. He directed me to every piece of information I was seeking. Wait to you hear this... I asked how much the tuition would be. My Advisor actually did the math and told me the approximate cost. I was in shock that he actually flat out told me that information. Any other online college I spoke to never answered me directly. I compared prices with this school and others and I was seeing a savings of about $6,000-$8,000! My Advisor right now is Saji Harper. He is very helpful and is making my experience a good one so far. I recommend you look into this school if you're looking for an online college. It is ranked #4 out of 200 online colleges that were reviewed. As of now I have not read a single bad post anywhere. I suggest you look into this school and see if it is right for you. Hope this helps with making your decision."

"Liked AND didn't like that I only spent two years there. Fantastic library for research, staff are great at helping you figure out what you need. Smaller classes are excellent for getting more help, creating closer atmosphere with instructors, but also means exposure to fewer people during your program. Great prep for transferring to university psych program; loved the campus and teachers. Strong prep, but disruptive having to switch after two years; unfortunately can't do entire program there. Not much of an alumni program. Would be nice to have a better one, but apparently they are working on it."

"I enjoyed the class structure, it was a powerful experience for me. The courses were challenging and I enjoyed what I learned. There really wasn't anything I didn't like, except getting those two B's. This experience prepared me to enter the working world with a stronger sense of self and greater feeling I had gained knowledge."
