"My experience at LECOM by far has been the worst experience of my entire life. The faculty and staff are condescending and rude to students and once you pay your tuition LECOM is sink or swim. The school couldn't care less about your well being or success and if you disagree with something or voice an opinion you are immediately put on the chopping block. You are responsible for teaching yourself the material and if you can't do that then you're really going to have a hard time. Don't be surprised when professors say straight to your class that "there are people who don't deserve to be here" or that its their mission to rid the world of these students. I firmly believe I did not get the education I paid for while at LECOM and if I could turn back time and apply to another College of Pharmacy I would. The "horrible" reviews you read online are just the tip of the iceberg. No amount of words can describe the real nature of LECOM which is nothing short of awful."

"When looking at different schools for a MPH program LECOM was the best fit for me. I decided to receive my MPH to get a better understanding of Public Health in hopes to go to medical school after. I love the teacher to student ratio because you can actually speak to your professor and they know who you are. This program is very flexible and great if you’re working and have a busy life."

"I recently completed the post-baccalaureate program at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in April of 2017. To start off, I would highly recommend it to those who are struggling to get into medical school due to their GPA, MCAT score, or those who simply want to reaffirm their passion to pursue a career in medicine. The two pluses to the program is the linkage to their osteopathic medical school and the cheap tuition. To matriculated from the post-baccalaureate program into their medical school, the students needs to maintain a 3.0 GPA and do well in the interview after the first semester of the program. In my case, I was not confident in my chances to be accepted into medical school because my GPA and MCAT score was only on-par with the average applicant for osteopathic medical schools. Therefore I was skeptical of my abilities to keep up with the rigorous curriculum of medical school. Upon starting the program I felt as though almost every class was tough, but because the professors were great at what they do I was able to absorb and retain majority of what was taught during lecture--even till this day. And to review on life outside of the classroom, I would say LECOM teaches their students a lot about yourself as they enforce professionalism and strengthening of your body. By enforcing professionalism, I mean students are required to dress in professional attire when on campus, however some students do complain about this rule as they were accustomed to having no dress code during their undergraduate days. All in all, with the completion of the post-baccalaureate program I was able to eliminate the two main worries I had before entering medical school: whether I would be able to keep up with the rigorous curriculum and whether it will be worth it to spend every waking moment in the next 4 years to pursue my dream of becoming a physician. Next month will mark the start of countless days where I will sacrifice sleep for studying, but will do so happily as a member of LECOM class of 2021."

"My graduate program strongly emphasizes an open door policy with their professors and wants to ensure our success as future health professionals. There are many clubs and organizations to get involved in, specific to each program of study, and my graduate program strongly supports involvement in the community. Students go out and serve the community in various ways whether it's doing health screenings in public places or volunteering."

"I attend LECOM's Bradenton campus, located in Bradenton, FL. I am very pleased with my decision of attending LECOM's pharmacy program. In my opinion, the academic staff that is employed there are beyond great. The professors are knowledgeable in their field of study, they provide support , encouragement, and motivation to succeed in the pharmacy field. The campus itself is not large, consisting of one main building shared by medical and pharmacy students. Two lecture halls, accommodating over 150 students comfortably. The security staff is adequate, security systems are modern, with multiple surveillance cameras throughout the school's campus and parking lots. The student affairs office staff are easy to work alongside with and are always available to answer any questions. I like the small school setting, particularly because I have a physical limitation. The amount of course workload is sufficient. At LECOM, due to the curriculum and the course workload, one learns the concept of "time management", as well as good study habits, both essential in order to succeed in this field. Many student associations are available to the student, throughout all four years (or three years if attending Erie Pennsylvania's accelerated program). Student rotations are well organized. Initially, I was reluctant with the idea of a professional dress code being enforced, but after the 1st week, it was second nature, and I wouldn't even think about having to wear a tie, or shoes. Dressing professional helps greatly when attending rotations. Preceptors are pleased with the appearance of the students, and people in general will take you more seriously,as well as treat you with the upmost respect. Overall, I can't really think of negative things to say about the school, I enjoy attending it and am looking forward to being a graduate in 2018, and representing the school with pride."

"Pros: I do not need to go to traditional lectures as much as other dental school. I can pace myself to catch up with the school Cons: There are nothing fun to do around the area, but it helps you to concentrate on what you do"

"There was no option to select "D.O." degree program, but M.D. is comparable; same qualifications and credentials, but DO requires 100+ hours of training in osteopathic manipulative treatment/medicine. The Problem-Based Learning curriculum is very productive and forces students to develop inter-personal skills while simultaneously learning the basic, pre-clinical sciences. Bradenton is an up-and-coming area with vast development. The students and faculty are very friendly and willing to help."

"I think the professors all do a very good job at being available to explain concepts more if needed. There are also student tutors to help. The workload can be very strenuous but pharmacy school is supposed to be challenging. The cost of living near school seems to be more expensive since it is in a growing area. Most students that have roommates can afford to live near school but others that live alone cannot afford it and have to live 30 minutes away or further. For being a professional school and spending so much money on tuition it would be nice to have free printing in the library for the students."

"The big pro of this school is the fact that we don't necessarily compete with each other but instead work together in order to achieve the greatest possible outcomes from our education. The big con is that the dental school is still relatively new so the college is working out a few bugs as they go forward."

"I've just started my education at LECOM and so far I'm very impressed. The school is small but seems to provide everything needed for med students. I've had great experiences with the administration and staff, who are all helpful and quick to respond to inquiries. The students seem friendly and enthusiastic. And the location of the school is very nice, with great weather, safe environment, and the ocean nearby. Cost of living is very reasonable, with lots of new apartments being built near campus. All in all, a great choice for med students."

"My graduate program offers a lot of interaction with the community and being involved in what is going on in other programs as well. I enjoy knowing that the Med students and Dental students are doing and working along side them to offer the most efficient patient care. One downfall is the affordability of the area. Living in Florida is not cheap but it is so much fun!"

"This program for medicine offers flexibility of learning and top-notch education value. Students are well prepared to enter residency and function on a high level within a medical team. Much of the classwork and arrangement of clinical rotations and residency is completely the responsiblity of the student; there is no counselor to hold hands through the process. At this level, though, students should be able to take initiative and perform independently."
