"I don’t appreciate my grades being knocked down because it doesn’t “relate to God enough”. To repeatedly be told that my papers are A worthy, but recieving a low B for THAT ALONE is not how grading systems work. My psych degree is not a Bible degree. This university is going to ruin my GPA despite my writing skills and understanding of Psychology being worthy of an A."

"Be prepared for automated calls reminding you to register for classes. I chose Liberty because there is a military discount. As with many online programs, there is a lot of "busy work" with discussion posts, discussion responses, tests, and writing submissions due on different days of the week. I much prefer the classes that have a single due date but those are few and far between. Another concern is that many of the professors do not have PHDs. Those instructors are easy to recognize because they have lengthy quizzes with short time limits that include questions about obscure statements in the text or videos with no real value. In all, I needed LU is a viable option for online schooling. But, I cannot say that the education is benefitting my career."

"I enjoyed my time on campus and loved my roommates and the dorms. LU offers (too) many activities to be involved with. The adjunct professors currently working in the field were the best at presenting real life scenarios and requiring critical thinking skills. The spiritual component was a centerpiece. My current fault with the school is that I accumulated over $50K in student loan debt and was never once offered any counseling or warnings about the aftermath of having that much debt. I also do not currently align with Jerry Falwell Jr.'s political stances and it bothers me that the school is being used as a platform to take stances on these beliefs. I think more focus could be spent better in other areas, like reducing tuition rates rather than adding snowplexes."

"Graduated from the MPH program - LU offered no help with finding a placement for my practicum (I almost had to dropout despite a 3.9 GPA)! Upon graduation, I am STILL looking for work as the MPH program is worthless without offering any of the associated certifications (RD, RS, etc.) required to work ANYWHERE in public health. There are NO career placement services - as soon as they have their $, they could care less. Professors don't even return emails re: possible references! Liberty has nearly ruined my life with debt."

"The Helms' School of Government's Criminal Justice program within Liberty University is an amazing program with the potential to make incredible connection from your fellow students to your professors to even the frequent very special and notable guests who speak at the department. It allowed me to create friendships that I will have for a lifetime, and the professors are very attentive to each student's needs. Some of my favorite moments from my undergraduate time at LU were just sitting and chatting with some of my professors. Also, there are multiple clubs and organizations within not only the university but also the department where students can get involved. I was actually the president of LU's chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, which is the national Criminal Justice Honor Society, and it was one of the best experiences I had while attending LU. I highly recommend Liberty University because it's a great schol and any and all of the programs in the Helms School of Government to anyone specifically looking for an amazing government or criminal justice program."

"Great instructors, quality courses, excellent online learning environment. I loved my education experience at Liberty University Online and highly recommend! I am now a full time graduate student enrolled in a Physician Assistant (PA) program and plan to practice medicine in an underserved community."

"I enjoyed attending Liberty University for my undergraduate degree. At Liberty I was given a lot of opportunities to explore my degree. The professors were regularly available and loved connecting with the students. Student life was also enjoyable, but could sometimes be hectic and overwhelming."

"Liberty University was a school I looked at due to its location to family and me being stationed overseas. I chose Liberty University in order to get a clearer understanding of the impact that religion, more specifically Christianity, impacts a persons life. I felt that there was no real connection with the teachers and students in an online setting. This makes it challenging to move forward into a Doctorate without a LOR from a professor. It is also my opinion that it is an expensive school and it does not need to cost as much as it does. Even more so for online courses. I think that there should be a differential. However, that is just my opinion. There was concerns with a couple professors and their inability to teach versus me teaching myself certain theories. On a positive note I do feel that there was a good amount of interaction even in an online setting. I also got what I came to Liberty for. I wanted a deeper understanding of Christianity. One thing I will recommend is that if you are not someone who is Christian and you may be looking for a broader view on theories do not attend Liberty without a deep understanding of why you are doing it. Theories are taught on a majority bases only taking into consideration the majority which is the white population. I also felt that in some regards I was being treated differently because I am not a Christian. Also take into consideration the program and how it is accredited. Having a MA in great but it does not do much for me currently. I originally applied for the MA for LPC but due to being stationed overseas I could not make it back to Lynchburg, VA. There was no leeway provided for military members or their spouses. I wanted to continue classes, try and schedule my intensives for another time, and I was told no."

"I can honestly say that being a student at Liberty University has changed my life. From challenging academics to an incredible student-life, I an so thankful for the time I had at this incredible university. Although, the size of school continued to grow throughout my time there, the professors made each interaction personal and took a vested interest in my education. As a high school student I took part in "College for a Weekend." This unique opportunity allowed me to live the life of a college student by attending classes, touring the campus and enjoying student activities while still a high school student. These "College for a Weekend" events are hosted by Liberty 4 times a year and I would highly recommend attending. I was honored to serve as a Liberty University Ambassador and Recruiter for over 3 years and shared my wonderful experience with thousands of future students. I do not believe that I would be who I am today, without the intentionality and passion of Liberty University's educational staff. I will continue to carry the banner of my alma mater with pride, as I continue my professional endeavors."

"Liberty University is great school; however due to large classes, I often felt it was hard to connect with the professor and other students. I do not feel like I was prepared for a career in this field with only a Bachelor's degree. However, their Nursing and Engineering program stand out from the rest and are excellent in preparing one for work in those fields."

"Liberty University was an excellent place to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. What drew me there, from across the country in California, was that I would get to begin earning practical, hands-on learning experience in classrooms during my second semester there! Many schools do not let students begin working in classrooms until at least their Junior, if not Senior years in college, but not Liberty! I received more training than I even imagined and loved the Christ-centered academics. I got a job right after I graduated and was fully prepared to enter my career of teaching. Anyone looking for a degree, especially in Education, that is superior to all the others should give Liberty University a chance. They won't be sorry!"

"At Liberty University, not only I did receive a quality education, but I grew the most personally and spiritually. The professors are almost always available to talk with you one-on-one. This school is really one of a kind in it's integration of Christian principles, leadership, and overall academics."

"It was staunchly republican/conservative , but there were many wise professors there that helped me be empathetic & charitable. I've met some of the best people I know and love at Liberty. I thank God for my school."

"L.U.'s two-sides. Side 1--the school has a leader which does not represent what the overall mission of the school is, and has embarrassed all who are followers of Christ. Side 2--the professor's I have had contact with are God-centered. They do not follow the Jr. F, but instead pursue a passion which has been placed in them by God to help people know God in their respective fields of study. Overall--earn a degree from knowledgeable men and women, under a school leader who leaves much to be desired."

"Liberty University overall is a great place to get your education. The professors are there for you and try to work with you in many situation. But unless you have money growing out of a tree, trying to afford the college is impossible. They barely give you financial aid and enough loans to afford the college. I was denied multiple times to move off campus even though it was the only way I could afford another year. Currently I have to drop out of Liberty University because they refused to work with me and my family. They wants us to pay over $7,000 out of pocket because they said they added everything we could like we had money just dropping out of pockets. The financial aid system is a huge mess and if you want to come out of college with a big loan debt please do not go to this school. You can get the same experience somewhere else than here. Now the people are great and the staff is amazing but the food is not the best dining hall ever. I do not know what little website they had to say they were but it is not. Now sometimes the dining hall has good food but 70% of the time the food taste like crap."

"I believe that going to school online, you should have a plan to where you want to work because being online, you do not have internships. But the school does offer assistance for career outlooks. They will help you find jobs and create resumes if needed. I think that "discussions" for online schools are pointless and they could come up with better assignments but other than that, books that are used for helpful and teachers always reply back quickly when needed. They are also understanding when you are late on an assignment. Online education is for people who are self motivated and busy."

"I'm currently doing a Double Major w/ Minor here at Liberty. My experience with Liberty is so far good. My only thing is "certain" professors should help the students when they ask for help. But overall I think this is a good school. And I'm glad I've chosen to go to Liberty University."

"Liberty University offers an amazing online program for all disciplines. I originally started in the Psychology program and then transferred to the Christian Counseling degree program. Every textbook for those classes are books that I will keep forever. Each instructor is easily accessible via email or Blackboard. I love that you can call Academic Advising all hours of the day and get a live voice. Graduation was fantastic and so memorable. #LUGrad"

"Liberty University is a school that offers it all! All dorm life and academics are founded on Christian morals. The teaching staff genuinely cares about their students and want to see them succeed in the spiritual life as well as their chosen vocation. The campus is full of activities and there is something for everyone. You will never be bored."
