Liberty University Online will say anything to get you into their program. Anything. I was enrolling to get a certification to teach, which they can do. The problem is that they cannot do it for all subject areas and will lie about their ability at application and enrollment time. I really would have expected this kind of bait and switch sort of behavior from a for-profit "university" and not from a "Christian" university. The classes themselves were fine. If they meet your needs, great. Just make sure they are telling the truth. If you see 1 star, it's because I couldn't give zero.

Expensive, overpopulated and worthless degree. They brag about being the 'biggest Christian university' but what does that mean when there are THOUSANDS of new graduates every semester that haven't been prepared at all. If you pay your money you will pass. All courses are recycled year after year and the professors generally don't know the subject material. Professors don't interact with your work. All communication is pre-written and sent out based on the schedule, very minimal "actual" engagement with students.

Graduation Year: 2016

Run away from this so called Christian school. This university wants your money. I requested a specific professor and was put into the class. The next day Liberty kept calling my telephone saying that I needed to complete the course requirement checklist. Therefore, I logged in and completed it. Then, I noticed another professor name on my assignments. I called the school and the advisors said that there is nothing that they can do for me because I have already completed the checklist. Liberty's mission statement is "Training Champions for Christ", How can you do that when you are deceiving your students?

I HAVE BEEN AT LIBERTY FOT AT LEAST 3 YEARS NOW. I AM IN THE MASTERS PROGRAM. I STAYED IN THIS SCHOOL BECAUSE I HATE CHANGE BUT IM FINDING OUT THAT LIBERTY IS ALL ABOUT MONEY THEY DO NOT CARE. THE ADVISORS ARE TEENAGE COLLEGE KIDS WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT MEANS TO WORK. SO ASKING FOR ADVISE IS USELESS THEY WILL REEFER YOU TO YOUR PROFESSOR WHO WILL NOT GET BACK TO YOU UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY DON'T NEED THEM ANYMORE

Degree: Finance
Graduation Year: 2013

I attended Liberty from 2009-2012 for Finance. I'm one class from a BS in Finance. I had a business professor named Scott Hicks who failed me multiple times even though the work was completed. Hicks is a lowlife scumbag. If he doesn't like you, he will fail you, even with the work completed. I have not paid Liberty, and will never pay Liberty the tuition owed due to the fact this piece of trash still works there. I am having to start my degree over at a different school. Avoid Liberty at all cost. Not very Christian, as they only care about the money, not students.

Quality of education to me was subpar. Teachers generally were unfamiliar with online technology. Syllabi were recycled year to year. A handful of professors cared greatly. Majority appeared over-worked and apathetic. They have a habit of assigning non-Christian topics and asking us to write about the Christian-ness of that topic, which was very awkward.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2016

Let me start by saying this school is perfect for full time college students or full time mid level job holders. I found the online program to be a lot of work which is a good thing but what I found discouraging was the lack of professors involvement. When I had questions or concerns I would e-mail each professor only to get either a response after the assignment deadline or no response at all. Writing a passage Scripture every week shouldn't be the only form of communication. I didn't really enjoy my first semester but decided try one more semester needless to say this will be my last semester. I will attend my local university and finish my MBA. Besides corporate America prefer local degrees then online degrees it is sad but so true.

Liberty University Online was great. I chose to go to Liberty while taking time off from work to deal with a health issue. The online classes gave me the opportunity to progress with limited physical capabilities at the time. This was the 3rd university that I attended and the first that focused in on teaching you how to think instead of only giving you facts. Regardless of the field of study, our worldview shapes how we receive and understand information. Liberty's encouragement to evaluate and develop awareness of your foundational worldview equips their students with the ability to maximize their best gift to the world........an authentic self! This experience was priceless!

Degree: Health Aide
Graduation Year: 2016

I just started at Liberty and I must say I Hate this University. The people their do not take the time to help new students. All they do is give students the run around. The advisors tell you one thing and the instructors tell you something different. Please do not attend to school, I wish I had stayed at Ashford university.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

Liberty University introduces a professional graduate degree program that requires you to work diligently, interact with other students and your professors in this online format. Where else could you earn a professional degree online for this price and get a PhD's who offer insight and encouragement? I looked at Wake Forest and their online program was $75,000! Sure you may have a professor who is balancing their private practice and is teaching 4 courses but as a graduate student you are expected to immerse yourself in higher education! So, suck it up and quit complaining! Do you wish to advance your knowledge base with the same texts used at Harvard and Penn? I think so...but you are paying 1/4 of the cost so there are some trade offs. Liberty University has high standards....I graduated with distinction (3.9 GPA) and that's a high bar for any University. I had my papers professionally bound resulting in three volumes (650 pages) of which I am very proud. This program stretched me to high levels of performance which increased my capacity to augment the lives of others.
