Lincoln Tech Reviews
Student & Graduate Reviews (202)
Spent so much money. The credits don't transfer to any REAL schools. For profit, learned nothing. 3 years wasted. Starting at a new school where it is accredited. Hopefully I can land a good job with this degree to pay for my next degree from a real university.
Hello, to all that are considering to go to Lincoln Tech, bare with me this will be long. First, know that this is what you want to do because it will cost you. Also, research jobs out there, how long it will be around, and where you can work as a MA,LPN, etc. Second do your homework on which Lincoln Tech facilities you are thinking about attending, look into the instructors, and what they are offering. BECAUSE, it is not the case.. they say it is more hands on, that the instructors are there to help you, and that you will get what you put in, if you meet them 120% they will too... EKKKKK WRONG... I myself followed the dress code, code of conduct, and attendance/school work, etc... but where is the help! They offer. As a student all I see and hear is that I have academic freedom OR i don't want teach this class, while some student are lost, sleeping, or on there phones, and/or not have the supplies and say it was a trick to see who is listening. Also, two weeks away from internship NO SITE, and when we have questions, the instructors talk under their breathe saying "that's stupid", while they get mad at the students following a break schedule they made up, and want us to change to the old ones because some instructors don't like it.. or if email to the wrong email address when they multiple email address for school and tell us once and not write it anywhere. Also, when you email with question for test on Thursday and they don't email us, and the test is at 8:30 am, because when your off, they are off????? they do not email on weekend, wait till Monday. How are us to study? You will have to teach yourself most of the time. ANOTHER FUNNY THING IS that they will talk to you when the corporate come to visit you, give you help to cover there butts. This school is all about business (money). So please, do your research and know this is what you want. However, for some this is the only way to feed and rise our family, because we need to start somewhere... I NOT SAYING ALL STUDENTS ARE THE SAME, BUT I AM TALKING ABOUT MYSELF AND INDIVIDUALS LIKE ME. so if Lincoln Tech read this and say yeah whatever they don't know what I'm talking about please look into it further, for future students. Thank you.
WOW!!! Where do I begin? First and foremost, DO NOT GO TO ANY LINCOLN TECH SCHOOL!!! That is a good place to start. This school will leave you uneducated and in HUGE amounts of debt. I have such a long story that I would love to share, but it will be WAY too long. However, I will say this: They feed off of your desire to learn and accomplish your goals but will rape you at the end. How did I go to that school for only 4 months (or three classes) and out of the ridiculous $32,000 tuition, I am left paying a little over $10,000???!!! They give you sooo much paperwork to sign that you become so overwhelmed and decide to just sign everything. The school I went to was terrible. It was the Queens campus in New York. I was in the evening class, 6:30pm-10:30pm, Monday - Friday. Attendance was INSANELY important to the school, but not as important as getting their money though. In other words, they did not care about you, your job, your children, your family or any emergency that you might have been in. They want you in school no matter what!!! They treated us like inmates. Mind you, many of us are grown adults with jobs, family and other major responsibility. To avoid myself going on and on, do yourself a favor and learn about cars by interning/volunteering at a shop. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND FREEDOM BY ATTENDING LINCOLN TECH. They will change your life but in a very negative way. I wish I had the time to tell my entire story, but one day I will. Also, I did not graduate from the school. I quit it. So please ignore my graduation date as I had to enter a valid date.
I went to the Philadelphia campus of this "school" in 2013. I supposedly graduated with an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology. I was basically ignorable. And the jobs in the field I did acquire (by myself), I didn't stay long because it was apparent to the employer, and after much self analysis, myself, that I hadn't learned anything from that school. It's a scam to get as many people signed up as possible to get the money. Im now strapped with a 25k loan that I have to pay off and nothing to show for it. I'm surprised the government hasn't shut them down yet. Do your homework. Check out a lot of places that specialize in your career choice, then get reviews from people who attended. I wound up changing my career all together. Lincoln Technical Institute left a sour taste in my mouth.
This school is a rip off save your money and future don't commit the same mistake we all went through all my friends that went to Lincoln Tech are now working in a gas station in a warehouse, oil field or any other place we all agree that we wasted so much time and money it's 2016 am still paying for a horrible fraudulent school graduated in 2008
I went in to ask a few questions and walked out signed up to start in 2 months. I was essentially promised a rewarding career and to be making money. After 6 years in retail management, it seemed too good to be true. It was. I had excellent grades and worked hard at school. I never found a job as a medical assistant, could not transfer my credits and the school promised to pay for my certification but never did. Now I owe 10 grand in student loans and I feel like I was cheated. I should have just gone to community college, at least then I could transfer. I am sorry I ever walked through those doors. I'm not going to say I didn't learn anything; I definitely did, but I didn't learn 10 thousand dollars worth.
I would never recommend this school. Walking around campus is nice , they show you cool equipments while you don't really know what it is and you're excited to join the school. Then after you join there's not enough equipment for you to learn. All the equipment you've seen during the walk through with the administrative person was suppose to be cool and most advance but turns out after you're already in the door for three months and learn that it is used equipment that was donated and half of them don't work. Half the time teacher turns on you tube for us to learn.
So I attended LTI in Edison for the LPN evening program. It started off great.....but by third quarter I felt as if we had instructors who weren't familiar with the material they were teaching. They would speed through the material as if we should know it....stumbling over words and answering yes to every question a student asked which was not correct. A lot of my classmates didn't make it to 4th quarter I believe simply because of poor instructions. I had to do a lot of self study.... they then moved the school fourth quarter. ....I mean come on you move the school and still expect people to be there on time....and most of us evening students come to class directly after getting off at 5 pm. You are expected to be there at 6pm sharp with no grace period. This is a clocked course and once u reach 37.5 hours missed in a quarter. You are done! I recently had a dispute with the business office regarding an alleged refund; I made my pymt over the phone as I have been doing for the last almost 2 years. .and on a Tuesday at 4:58 pm I get a call saying they refunded me money as opposed to taking the pymt. The alleged refund was not in my account and I explained this to the director of the business office she was adamant that I had this money which I did not. If I couldn't bring in the money the night of class I could not attend until I made this pymt. I cried begged and pleaded to pay on Thursday but was still told no money. No class. Thank god a classmate made the pymt for me and I repaid her. So bottom line is this school is all about money! The emotional well-being of students is a joke to them. The only good thing is a you can meet and connect with some great people in class. However most of them are haters and can't stand if someone gets a higher score. My gpa is a 3.64 and I'm expected to finish in Oct 2016! Hindsight is 2020 and if I knew then what I know now I would have found another program!
Horrible! I would never tell anyone to go here! I was there when they bought out the school before it. They changed everything in the middle of semesters. I was in a big room with two different teachers teaching two different things to two separate classes. I basically learned everything myself!
I have been to this school twice. The first program I attended had an awful teacher who would take every possible point away she could, she did not like being a teacher you could tell. I called and called the schools administration office week after week trying to set up a time to go back and complete my program, they always said someone will be calling me back on Monday. Never happened. After my first experience went horribly wrong I don't know why I decided to come back. Mostly because there is no other schools teaching dental in my area. I am currently in my second to last mod and one thing i have a hard time with at this school is they switch the teachers. For about 5 or 6 mods i had an amazing teacher. She was always organized and ready to teach. She was hard on us sometimes but it honestly helped a lot. For my last two mods we switched to another teacher and it threw me off track because they have completely different teaching methods and Lincoln tech does not have a set schedule and set order and set rules. I asked the teacher over 7 times to go over some of our practice tests because the whole first mod we didn't and it's half way through the second mod and we are about to take our state exam for radiology! It's already stressful enough and now i'm here teaching myself.
