Going to Lincoln Tech in Edison, NJ was the biggest regret in my life. I went there when it was fairly new (we were only the third class). The school was terrible. It was highly unorganized, I didn't learn anything that was actually needed and it did not prepare me for nursing jobs. I spent over $20, 000 going there and now I'm in debt with loans. I passed the classes with flying colors and grated with "honors" and I still failed the NCLEX the first time. They told us that the previous class had a passing rate of 80 something percent but what they didn't tell us was the class size was considerably smaller because it was the first one. My friends and I did not know that and a lot of us failed the NCLEX. We all said we were not ready even though we did well in the actually classes and clinical. Till this day, I still have not gotten a job but I have gone to interviews. One of the places even said that Lincoln Tech was not a great school. If you really want to become a LPN, go to Middlesex VoTech. It is only a 1/4 of the tuition, they apparently more organized, and have a higher passing rate. Or even better, if you can get into a community college nursing program, go there because you can actually get a degree.
