"I regret attending the Nursing program (for RN certification) at MCC. This program was very inconsistent with the quality of instructors. Some were really good educators, and some desperately needed to retire as they were fatigued from their jobs, or working with students. Several instructors would target certain students with unnecessary harassing behavior. Some instructors were caught openly gossiping about students. One instructor in a hospital clinical taught against sterile procedure during a catheterization. I had two clinical instructors who were dishonest in their documentation that they did not witness; second hand/incomplete information. If they want to take you out, they will. I found the entire MCC Nursing program lacked integrity because the instructors are not held accountable for actions done against students. I would never recommend Macomb Community College for a Nursing degree."

"Macomb has great degree programs that are hands on. The also have professors that care. I would always recommend this school to future college students especially for culinary, hospitality management, all police enforcements, and vetnarians and nursing assistants"

"Macomb is a great start for core classes and for adults that are getting back to school. That was me, going back to school now that my kids were older and I wanted to refocus a little bit on me. Here is my issue with Macomb, my program was changed 3 times while attending the school. And NOT one time was I informed of this change. There are mass emails sent out for school events, but when it comes to something as important as the classes I had to take no one at the school could be bothered let anyone know. These program changes, were not small they added 3 math classes and an extra English. I know your probably thinking that isn't a huge deal, but adding 4 classes and no longer offering others put me 1.5 semesters behind the schedule that I was working hard to keep. The other thing that bothered me was that I was taking the same exact classes only with different names, buying 2 books at 250.00 a piece that contained the same information...that is ridiculous. I get that there are credit requirements and that colleges have to fill those, but there are tons of business principles to learn and wasting students time with the same class is not what I call learning. My other problem was that in all of the classes that I have taken, I really didn't learn much. I do take my age and life experience as a factor in that, however, again at some point I should of HAD to open the books that I paid so much money for. The advisors really aren't very helpful beyond basic questions, and gave me all of the same information that I could find in a course catalog. I do want to say something positive, they are all very friendly and try to be helpful, this includes students, staff, faculty, and administrators. My complaint, is more of a lack of respect for the time and money that students are spending to be there."

"I'm currently completing my ABA in Hospitalty Management. In my opinion, Macomb has some of the best options for completing this field of study as well as several others. They even have a University Center on their main campus accommodating students in several popular fields of study. Furthermore, their tuition is affordable for most students and they have teachers that really would like to see their students succeed."
