Degree: Information Technology
Graduation Year: 2012

I got a Prestige Scholarship. I went to my IT class and studied hard. As soon as I went home, I studied day and night, when I had time. I currently have my own business in 2 states. I am hoping any future scholars can learn from my story.

I love MIT! The people are incredibly inspiring, the work is tough but engaging, and the institute itself is world class.

Great department, rewards self-paced learners and those who are already naturally gifted.

Degree: Actuarial Science
Graduation Year: 2005

The school is every bit as tough as its reputation. However, obtaining a degree from MIT, which requires a well rounded background in all fields of science in addition to a student's choice of major, will make you well prepared to overcome any other obstacle in your academic and professional career!

Degree: Materials Sciences, Other
Graduation Year: 2009

Education there was top notch but I'm sure you can get very similar curriculum elsewhere. However, the value of going to MIT would be the people you meet and the network you build. You meet highly motivated and inspired people from diverse backgrounds that challenge you to look beyond and achieve great things. It can also make you feel highly inadequate, however all in all it was a positive peer pressure experience.

Degree: Electrical Engineering
Graduation Year: 2010

MIT is a great school for science and engineering. the resources and the freedom of choice which are available to students there are probably the best anywhere. great name recognition too, as evident by amount of recruitment on campus.

Degree: Business Administration and Management, General
Graduation Year: 2013

It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The professors were fantastic, my classmates and peers were without equal, and the courses were by and large engaging and informative.

Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2010

Very challenging. Be prepared to take a hit to your self esteem - most people coming into MIT have been the top of their class for most of their life and aren't prepared for being average. From a jobs perspective, my MIT degree has been a ticket to absolutely anywhere I want to go. (I'm computer science, not sure how true this is in other fields).
