"Mercy College is an incredible option for students who know that they want to work in the healthcare system. It allows students to take all their classes with their patients in mind from the very first day. Whether it's a philosophy class where students discuss how their future patients will think, to a genetics class to understand basic genetics and appreciate the value in knowing the science, the patient perspective is always in mind. This school also helped me to better understand what other healthcare professionals do daily, and given me more respect for each of their jobs. It's only problem is that for students looking for extracurricular activities, there really aren't any. You have to make the city of Des Moines your campus and find groups of your own."
