"My experience at this school made it clear that Millersville U. is focused on the desires of certain school administrators instead of being truly focused on customer (student) experience and satisfaction. It is my opinion that this school will eventually close and prospective employers will no longer value degrees obtained here."

"I originally began my college career undeclared and then pursued Early Childhood Education. However, I eventually decided to change my career plans and wanted to switch my major to Psychology. My advisor at Millersville was flexible while I transitioned from one major to another. I worked with my advisor to manage my course load because I still wanted to make sure I graduated within 4 years or less. Even with all of the changes I made, I still managed to graduate in 3.5 years, and I even had time to pick up a minor in Sociology. The professors in the psychology department and sociology department were very well educated. I especially enjoyed classes that were taught by adjunct professors because these professors included a lot of their career experiences in the course lectures. From my experience, professors were always willing to meet during office hours and help out if you reached out to them. As far as aesthetics, the campus was fairly spacious and had plenty of green space to hang out. The dorms were being renovated as I was graduating. As far as I know, all dorms are suite-style now. There are also several options to live off-campus, but within walking distance. Several dining halls were located on campus and some small restaurants were within walking distance from campus. Millersville had a lot of events available for students, including an annual concert, a homecoming parade, and some other "carnival type" activities. Also, the gym was pretty nice and students had access to free exercise classes. Intramural sports were also available. The campus is also located close to downtown Lancaster which offers a lot of events and nightlife. I would recommend Millersville to prospective students."

"The English degree program at Millersville University is an explorative platform for passion, community, and building transferable skills. In my time at Millersville, I met very resourceful professors, supportive friends, and an embracing community. I found the program to be useful and diverse with career choices. I also found it to be challenging that will push you to think critically, write feverishly, and input your own creative ideas. I think the program fosters change not only in the way you see yourself but in the way others see you as well."

"This school provides a decent liberal-arts education at an affordable price. There are a wide variety of degree programs to pursue, and there is an equally-large variety of course options within each program. Professors are kind and very dedicated to their students, but the courses are not the most academically-demanding. I had very few courses that actually forced me to push myself academically and professionally. Unfortunately, this university does not attract the most engaged student body. The campus is stunning and safe, and the facilities are well-maintained. Despite many student-led activity groups ,the campus is a bit sleepy - specially on the weekends. However, it is very close to Downtown Lancaster, which provides plenty of opportunity for social interaction."

"I spent four full time years at Millersville university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I still rave about the education that I received while I was there. Many students come out of an education and feel that they were not prepared for what a real classroom would throw at them. Both of my full time teaching jobs since graduation have been in low income areas, and Millersville, while in a rural area, really prepared me for what I would be encountering in low income areas. I highly recommend attending Millersville University for any kind of education degree."

"Millersville University was not only a place of education, but also a home for me during my four years of undergraduate study. I found an academic family in my professors and advisors, as well as my fellow students. Millersvilles campus provided a safe space for me to grow and figure out who I was, all while preparing me for who I would become in the future. The professors are an endless source of valuable knowledge and experience of which they are eager to share with their students, and they are invested in seeing success in us. I am confident going into my graduate studies that Millersville has prepared me for whatever will come, and I intend to keep in contact with certain professors who became mentors to me. Millersville University has often encouraged students to seize opportunities, and all one needs to do so is merely to ask. Every member of the Millersville community is excited and ready to help any student in any way they can, and I am extremely grateful to have been given the opportunities I was including becoming a member of their undergraduate admissions office and completing an honors thesis my senior year. Both of these and other opportunities that I seized during my time there have influenced me and prepared me to head into a successful professional career as well as personal life."

"The Social Work department at Millersville University is amazing. They care able their students and do all that they can in order to make us feel safe and welcome. In their classes, they support us 100 percent, and also push us to be our very best that we can be. I highly recommend Millersville University, most importantly the Social Work Department."

"I really enjoyed Millersville's campus. I had transferred from another school and finished my degree at Millersville. The Social Work Program was very helpful. The staff has all had experience working in the field first hand and was able to give both textbook and real life examples to further my learning. They were very supportive throughout the process and I found that I was prepared to work in the field. I also have been working in the field of social work for almost 5 years now."

"I had a very beneficial experience at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. The curriculum was vigorous at times but the instructors were helpful and passionate about what they were teaching. Teaching and students are the main focus at Millersville. My favorite aspect of the instruction at Millersville is that every class is taught by the instructor, as opposed to teaching assistants. If you are a resident of Pennsylvania, the in-state tuition is a no brainer for an undergraduate degree. The library was completely rebuilt in 2013 and offers a variety of services to students. This was also a major selling point for me because a good library is an essential tool for students. The librarians, writing center, digital learning studio, group study rooms, databases, collections, and beautiful facility of the library were very valuable to me during my undergraduate years. They ensured my success at Millersville. Overall, I would say that Millersville University offers a vigorous and beneficial curriculum, a scholarly teaching staff, and a great library for an unbeatable price. I would recommend Millersville University to incoming students. It is definitely worth considering."

"The workload in terms of homework wasn't overly heavy, and the teachers who were there actually wanted to teach (as opposed to some research-focused colleges)."

"The college is relatively small and accessible. They are constantly working on the growth of Millersville University. I really enjoyed my time there as an undergraduate in the dorms and now as a graduate student. The professors are very knowledgeable and highly qualified. I have not taken a class I haven't liked yet. The downfall is the financial aid department and office. It is very unorganized and you receive different answers from every person you speak with."

"Millersville University was an excellent choice for me, and for others pursuing a similar degree to English. Their teaching program is top-notch, and most of the professors really seem to care about their students. If you show initiative to learning they will help you get through their classes."

"I loved everything about Millersville - it wasn't a mega-school like Penn State, but it wasn't so tiny that you knew everyone like in high school. It's in Lancaster County so it feels rural and is very pretty but is near Lancaster so there are bars and things to do. I felt like I got a great education and had a variety of classes to choose from- the sociology classes were my favorite :] Great professors overall. I also made lifelong friends and learned a lot of life lessons I am grateful for every day."

"Millerville University's post bachelor teaching certification program offers students the chance to pick up where they left off with their education. It is an affordable and organized program at a school that offers a wide variety of classes and professors who are there for you every step of the way. Millersville University is a medium sized school located in a rural area right outside of the city and gives you the feeling of relaxation and opportunity at the same time. With its diverse student community, many opportunities for involvement, excellent student to teacher ratios, advanced technologies and all around friendly atmosphere, Millersville is definitely a home away from home and a wonderful place to pursue any degree."
