"Terrible. They deleted my review on their google maps and continue to do it. Career service is bad they do not help you find work and will discourage you of ever finding a job I still have the email for proof. Teachers will also discourage you."

"I chose to begin my educational path at a 2 year college, there I would complete my liberal education and lay the ground work for my transfer to a 4 year university. Minneapolis Community & Technical College was my first choice because of proximity. I enjoyed my time there, the professors are knowledgeable and genuinely invested in seeing you succeed. The administration is constantly working to improve or enhance the college experience, faculty and staff are there to help you progress every step of the way. The student body is very diverse, which adds to the campus culture. Surprisingly, like myself, there were many of us with families or returning to school after a long break. Overall, I never felt out of place. I felt like I was coming home."

"What made MCTC a great school was the diversity it brought. Not only can you meet people who lived in Minneapolis their whole lives but you also can meet people from all over the world like Somalia, France, and China. I found it fascinating and great! The faculty is good, I never really had any issues with any of my professors, however, the counseling and career center can use a little help. Overall, I enjoyed my years at MCTC, if it wasn't for MCTC I would of never been able to attend an Ivy league school. If you do the work and dedicate yourself to school, MCTC can open doors for you."

  • Degree: Nursing
"Minneapolis Community and Technical College is an excellent school. The diverse student body adds a richness to the educational experience that cannot be duplicated. The teachers in the Nursing program are knowledgeable and all have had years of hands on experience in the field. I especially love the Nursing program at MCTC because of its holistic and multicultural approach to nursing care, which is very applicable. This prepares new nurses for the variety of patient backgrounds and needs that they will encounter on a daily basis. I would recommend the Nursing program at MCTC to anyone, and the hidden bonus is that it is very affordable."

"I really enjoyed my college. I had an opportunity to go out of town twice with the Trio program. That college changed my life. I am forever grateful."

  • Degree: HVAC
"The HVAC-R program was fantastic. I had all the skill necessary to find a job right after graduation. Professor Skudlarek continues to keep in contact with alumni about any job opportunities that he's made aware of. Being in the trade for a couple years now, I feel like I received a much better education through this program than similar ones at other technical schools. I believe this to be entirely due to the trade experience of Professor Skudlarek and his commitment to teaching us as much about this very in depth and varied field. The overlap with the electrical program is beneficial for both HVAC and Electrical students to understand each others trade and will help you work together with other tradesman once your out in the field."
