"After graduation with a BA and MA in History as well as being first in their class major and Cum Laude,I was never told of this honor until after graduatioin by several friends. Having worked very hard and paying almost $100,000 to the University to obtain this degree, I was given a very small, plain piece of paper on graduation day which was the same quality as a hairdressers diploma or fingernail salon worker. Surely Monmouth University could have done better. While there are several outstanding professors, a few have a tendency to unfairly grade your work should you not fall in line with thier views or thinking. I enjoyed my years at Monmouth but would have a little reservation as to recommending it in comparison to other schools. Especially should you lean on the Conservative side of issues."

"Monmouth University needs a new and improved First Year Advising and new advising all together. They dont help you, they waste your time and money. I took 3 classes instead of 2 for this specific requirement. Why didnt anyone tell me this information? They want your money, thats all it has ever been about. Since I wasnt sure what I wanted to do yet, I went in undeclared. Now, you know you get 20 free elective credits to take anything you want? Those credits that I could have minored with were wasted on Calculus, Philosophy and some other classes. If I didnt take Summer classes, I would be behind on graduating. Every university pulls you in and keeps you there. They dont want to let you go, thats why they fail you. They have masters programs to keep you paying their salary. The way the curriculum is set up has to change. Everyone hates it, I dont know one person who majors in Nursing and wants to take piano or an Accountant wanting to take Art. The way this university runs things is so bizzare and so useless to all of the students. 33 credits of General Education, thats a full year of only Gen Eds! Are we back in highschool, because I thought we were past this. People say college is to make you well-rounded. Yes, but that doesnt mean you take classes you have no need for. Why dont you focus on getting students out of school faster instead of sucking them dry? I know how Universities work. I said it before, its a business and one day, people are going to realize they cant spend 70-100k a year at Monmouth. Now what?"

"I loved my social work program. It was tailored to the type of education I wanted and the internship experience I was looking for. The classes were small which I feel is important to getting a good education. It was a great program."

"Monmouth is a great school! Not only is it on a beautiful campus and minutes from the beach, but the academic programs are fantastic, and many of the teachers are skilled and extremely helpful!"

"I loved Monmouth's social work program! The department and school uphold important values, and really help students learn to share those values. Monmouth University is located in a beautiful area near the beach which is super convenient during stressful times. The university also has various connections to different organizations and companies throughout the state. My only complaint is the debt I've accumulated due to high tuition costs. However, I have no regrets!"

"Monmouth University is a great university in New Jersey. The classes are small and interactive, which creates great connections with professors and students. As you continue to get into your major classes it is more likely the same students will be in your classes and this makes it easier to form study groups and to help teach each other and learn from each other."

"I have had a great undergraduate experience at Monmouth University while studying political science. The one factor that truly made a difference in my undergraduate experience was the professors in political science that have helped me further my knowledge and love of politics while studying. All classes had worthwhile assignments that I truly enjoyed completing. The professors really care about their students success. This was probably the most impactful aspect of studying at Monmouth and contributed to my positive experience. However, the administration and financial offices are the same as every other school. There are ample amounts of activities, and a decent Greek life program for a small school. As a commuter student, I had some problems with parking so for the first few weeks be sure to arrive early. Overall, I had a great experience at Monmouth."

"My experience at Monmouth was amazing and I couldn't feel more prepared to attend graduate school in May. Monmouth has an amazing support system in preparing it's students to be very successful in life and I am very grateful for the support that I have received from my advisors and career services. Every person who works for Monmouth wants to see it's individuals succeed and I feel like that's what made Monmouth so special for me!"

"I loved how it wasn't a large school where you seem to get lost in the crowd. The class sizes are small enough where the professor knows who you are and you can learn and have dialogue better."

"The campus is a beautiful campus. The professors are amazing as well as the financial aid. Parking is free for commuters. Overall Monmouth is how you make it. As for the MSW program, I had just started the program but so far there is no complaints. Besides the fact they do pick your class the first year but other than that the staff does try to work with you."

"Monmouth University is a very supportive learning environment. The campus grounds and buildings are beautiful, but there is always some kind of construction going on. Some professors are great, and others are not so great. Students are wonderful and supportive of each other."

"I greatly enjoy everything that my program has to offer me. There are great networking options for careers in New York City and knowledgeable professors who are always willing to help educate the students. However, I feel that the networking is limited to only New York City when I would like the option to practice my studies in Philadelphia."

"The faculty is extremely helpful and care about your success in the program. Due to the maximum class capacity of 26 (which is large compared to many courses) the student has the opportunity to get individualized help from professors when needed. One will learn so much from this program at Monmouth and job posting are constant. Field work is a major part of the program and the University makes sure every student is prepared when entering the field after graduation. Program offers a clinical track as well as an international track."
