"Excellent teachers and small class sizes. The university cultivated a culture of caring and promoting excellence. Classes were challenging, but prepared me well for am exciting career in nursing! Clinicals were conducted at sites that actively recruited student nurses."

"I transferred here from a college in upstate New York. Mount Saint Mary was welcoming, supportive, and informative. They have helped me every step of the way from assisting with developing a resume to providing athletic outlets for students. The professors all have experience and influence in their fields and are always available to help. Switching schools has been the best decision I have made."

"The college/university provided a fantastic education that was well-rounded and provided a superior general knowledge education. My problem wasn't with the university, but with the chosen degree. DO NOT GET A DEGREE IN HISTORY! While fun, interesting and intellectually challenging, it does NOT provide ANY sort of specific preparation for careers."

"The Mount is a very friendly environment and a great place to learn. Many find that the college is best suited for those going into teaching or nursing. And you gain the most from living on campus."

"I attend Mount Saint Mary College as a graduate student in Childhood Education (1-6) and Special Education. Though I only just completed my first year, my experience thus far has definitely been worthwhile. The professors in the Education program are all understanding, knowledgeable, and approachable. I have found no issues with seeking help from my professors. As a teacher, it is important to learn how to teach in a classroom. At The Mount, grad students' spend their class time in an elementary school, interacting with students and creating lesson plans. This, in my opinion, is the best way to learn how to become a teacher. As with every school, there are some cons. One big one for me is that I wish there was some sort of orientation for graduate students. I had to figure out my personal MSMC website (my.msmc.edu) on my own. I wish there was an Education department orientation, where all requirements and tests (and when to take them) were explained. The course catalog is listed on the website, however it does not match what my professors have given me, and it is very difficult to find. Overall, I am happy to be getting my Master's Degree at Mount Saint Mary college. I feel that what I learn here will be of great use to me in my future teaching career, and I am looking forward to continuing and completing my studies."

"I am a Counseling Psychology graduate student at the MSMC Doheny Campus (which was not an option on the pull down tab) and I have to say it was a great decision! I absolutely love the program, totally worth the money. The classes are in the evening which allowed me to keep working full time. Classes are small and intimate. The professors are truly invested in your education. Its hard to pick cons! The neighborhood it is in isn't ideal but I have never had an issue with safety. Also the internet can be a bit whacky but other then that its a great school and program."

"Mount Saint Mary encourages academic achievement by fostering creativity in the minds of each of their students. In a program that focuses on teaching, the professors encourage students to think "outside of the box" to create a successful classroom environment of their own. The small campus makes it easy for professors and students to connect. I never feel like I am just a number. As a commuter student, it is usually difficult to find parking. I wish there were more spaces for commuters. And of course, Newburgh is not exactly the safest city. The outskirts of campus are not where you want to find yourself for a long period of time. Just driving through is enough. Overall though, Mount Saint Mary College's education program is excellent."

"Mount St. Mary's is a small institution, and for me, that is beneficial to the quality of learning one has. As a master's program, the curriculum is rigorous, thus preparing students for a successful future as a therapist. The surrounding neighborhood is sort of historic with very little options for safe living. However, the campus ensure security and safety for all students, in addition to the communal and family environment."

"Mount Saint Mary`s Colllege offeres an MBA program that challenged everything I knew - making my grow tremendoeously both as a student and a leader. The Professors were, and still are supportive of each cohort`s wellbeing. The MBA program parallels that of any first and second tire school with less fees. I also believe that but for the support of Professors and the members of each cohorts dynamics, the dropout rate would have been high. One`s cohort transformed into lifelong friendships. It would be an even better program if more scholarships were available for women with children in the MBA program. Overall, getting my MBA degree from Mount Saint Mary`s College was one of the best educational decisions I made."

"The pros of my graduate program are the support of the faculty and the quality of the education taught by instructors who have multiple credentials and doctorate degrees, are published researchers to the profession of physical therapy and are active in the physical therapy community as well as politically. We also have small class sizes which help to make it more of a family atmosphere and we lean on one another for support and encourage one another to keep striving. The cons of the graduate program are lack of access to many of the campus' offers: wireless internet needs to be upgraded, library hours are limited as is the cafe and book store."

"The pros of my graduate program are that it is full of diversity, everyone is very friendly and the classrooms are walking distance. We have amazing professors who not only teach the subject but also bring there experieneces along for us to learn from. The cons are that the safety of our students. The campus is right in the heart of LA so there are many things occuring and i believe that more patroling should be considered."

"I believe that the program as a whole has been amazing. Between the diversity of the classes, I have learned exactly what I need in order to become an effective teacher. I feel that the hands on exposure to classrooms, and the accessibility to other teachers has really given me the drive to be a great teacher. What I really like about the program is that I am not only learning from my teacher, but from the students in the class as well who are already teaching. The amount of information isn't something I could learn in just any classroom. The only downside about the graduate program is how much money I have to spend in order to finish, but there is no other school I would want to go to."

"Mount Saint Mary College was home for four years. It was where I learned to be the teacher I am today with the help of my excellent professors and field experience. I also made some of my best friends while attending there. I would not change a thing about my experiences there. However, the cost was not the best."
