DO NOT, DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They enroll you in classes and don't tell you until your already a few weeks in that your financial aid won't cover the tuition. So you are either stuck with trying to get an outside loan or dropping out and still get charged. Then they expect you to pay off the entire tuition all at once. If you can't get a loan what makes them think you can pay the tuition all at once.

I am a recent graduate from NAU and I have to say that I am not a proud graduate. I personally believe that NAU is nothing more than a scam artist. In what would have been my last term, I found out that my instructor did not grade an assignment that I had completed and handed in, giving me a D in the course which was a Capstone course, meaning I needed a C to pass. I was 10 points from the C that was needed. I was on vacation when I found out that I needed to repeat the course, and that wasnt even... Read More

One of the worst experiences Ive had with an educational institution. Your federal loans will not cover your degree program, but you will not be told this until you are a term away from graduating. You will be lead to believe that all is taken care of and be slapped in the face, so to speak, with an exorbitant amount of money needed, out of pocket, to complete your degree. Essentially, holding your degree for ransom. Bottom line, choose a different school!

I took their IT program. I originally enrolled in the BS program, but converted to the AAS so I would have a credential after the two mark for promotional purposes at work. I'm continuing with the BS program in the fall. I only had issues with two classes, one was due to an instructor that had difficulty making his expectations clear, but once I got used to nailing him down on details and over-delivering, the class went ok. The 2nd issue was due to outdated and broken links in the course material.... Read More

NAU prepare me for my entry into the civilian job market after retiring from the Air Force. As a matter of fact I completed two Bachelor of Science programs there (Applied Management). The instructors were very helpful as many were also employed in their respective fields of expertise. As a matter of fact because of my excellent experience with NAU, I decided to pursue a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology not at NAU but at another university to prove to myself I had been well... SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I have been attending NAU for the past two years. As an international student I warn every international student, do not waste your money on this school, if I could get out now I would but I would be losing $16000 dollars and not getting the diploma I have already worked so hard for. The teachers do not explain the material correctly and when a student asks for help they are told to just Google it. This has been an issue since started. On top of everything the assignments are all... Read More

Don't go to this school!!!! Check around about credit hour prices, trust me you'll be surprised. I made it all through the RN course accepted into the class made it halfway through there they told me that my loans had ran out and I did not qualify for anything else unless I paid cash I couldn't do that they found a reason to kick me out so all that you do is call financial adie and ask them about credit hour prices and do call about 5 of them and compare prices you'll see a big difference and then... I attended NAU online at the Sioux Falls school and I attended NAU College of Military Studies. Both are a waste of money and time. They overcharge you for classes and books, but don't explain their return policies or anything else. When you drop out they either try to charge you for tuition or books that you shouldn't owe them for. They are no help whatsoever with your classes or anything else. Plus if you were discharged with other than honorable discharge from the military, you don't get a discount.... Read More

NAU is a fine college! I'm in my 4th quarter of my NBA. CLASSES are not easy; however, the students are given plenty of resources to be successful. I have never had a problem with financial aid or for that fact with any of NAU. It's a bit different from a state school but still meets the same HLC accreditation. The professors are extremely supportive and understanding. I feel very supported as a student. My only complaint is the high turnover with Grad advisors. I'm on at least my 3rd one... Classes... Overall the school provides a good education, and they have some really great instructors with the school. Unfortunately, The campus I attended was terrible with financial aid, and it is very difficult to get people to call you back. I would consider all educational options before choosing NAU.

National American University is absolutely an A++ educational institution! I have attended NAU since March 2015 and will graduate this December 2017 with my MBA degree. I am currently enrolling into the Master of Management Program E-Marketing Emphasis. From day one I have been treated with the greatest amount of respect and supported 100+ percent by Learner/Financial Advisors and Faculty!! This is the solemn truth!! I have NEVER once had a problem with school finances and anytime I have ever contacted... Read More

If you really want to learn, this is the school. Went for several job interviews after earning my MBA and help me to land one of the job I want to do. MBA professors are strict, knowledgeable and expert on their own area of concentration. Above all the professors help shape students to become responsible professionals.

i went to this school in 2006. I had the Montgomery gi bil. so 100 percent in state tuition. I also got fafsa because they suggested that I do. so they got 100 percent tuition from Veteran Affairs. They also took my fafsa. now eleven years later im trying to go to another school and they say I still owe 1500 dollars for the one semester I did. so they not only double charged me they are trying to charge me a third time in order to get my transcripts.

The greatest issue facing this institution is the fact that it is willing to take in students with no S.A.T. or A.C.T. scores. This creates a high turnover rate of unsuccessful students. Many students complain that they do not receive the help they need, but the help they need is too significant of an obstacle for them to graduate from any university. Overall this is an excellent university, with concise programs to help you get your degree as quickly as possible. This Univerity struggles to maintain... Read More

I have been going to this school since 2012 and since then this school has gotten worse over the years. They say their going to help, but never do, they over charge people for unprofessional education. The instructors must be underpaid because they don't get back to people in time. Worse school I have "ever attended" will not be finishing with them. Last they don't have classes for all courses only some so your force to take class online with what little information they give you.

This place charged me 50,00 for a associates degree that I never received, I had 1 more class too take, national American University said that I was out of money. I never finished, and they never tried too help me get a job. Or finish college. I would not recommend this college too any one, all they want is people money, or too take all your money from you.

You get out of this school what you put into it, like any school. I graduated with my Associates Degree in Business Administration. There will always be classes you don't like, instructors you don't love, and obstacles to overcome. I feel that the staff will address any concerns if they are actually brought to someone's attention. Asking questions, and using the resources provided is the KEY the having the best experience. I have attended a more "reputable" college as well and the online classes... Read More

I attended National American University after I earned an associates degree in generals at a local community college. I enrolled with the school because of the high amount of transfer credit they gave me. My entire associates degree transferred over! I have two small kids and take classes online while working full time. I have found the staff very helpful and the online formatting to fit very well with my hectic life.
